“[P]eople are literally going nuts. They have become unhinged over this statement from Tom DeLay that Congress is going to go after the out-of-control judiciary.”
– Rush Limbaugh, 4/1/05
“[V]ice president [Cheney] said he would ‘have problems’ with the idea of retribution against the courts. ‘I don’t think that’s appropriate,’ he said. ‘I may disagree with decisions made by judges in any one particular case. But I don’t think there would be much support for the proposition that because a judge hands down a decision we don’t like, that somehow we ought to go out — there’s a reason why judges get lifetime appointments.’”
– Washington Post, 4/3/05
Ahhh….the Repubervatives are beginning to eat their young. Now that Cheney has come out and publicly distanced his Administration from DeLay’s insanity…..will they wrestle for support behind the scenes? Is this the first shot in the Republican Civil War? Or just the sound of DeLay being thrown off the train?
