Tom DeLay: Paris Hilton’s New Best Friend?
It seems House Majority leader Tom DeLay and Paris Hilton have at least one thing in common: a disdain for the Internet. Maybe their fear of technology is really just a desire for a simpler life?

It could just be that Mr. Delay does not like the part that Al Gore took in the creation of the modern internet.

Interesting story: Carter was the first President to use a word processor. Several Xerox Star machines were installed in the White House basement to produce state-of-the-art wonderfully typeset documents. When Reagan took office, he said essentially it’s Carter’s system so get rid of it (kinda like Bush’s anything-but-Clinton policies). They gave away the ten thousand dollar machines and replaced them with ribbon typewriters. A little later into his term, Reagan demanded to know why his press releases looked like crap compared to Carter’s.
Reagan had an IBM XT on his desk in the oval office, but never turned it on.
