You know things are getting pretty bad for DeLay when Gannon is part of his effort to shore up political support.

I agree the topic of homosexuality is relevant to this discussion, but along different–or at least additional lines–to Guckert/Gannon’s previous career as a male escort.
Try this by way of example. What Eric Alterman had to say about Andrew Sullivan:

Now, both Gaffney and Guckert/Gannon celebrating and supporting a man whose core followers and afflilates believe that both Gaffney and Guckert/Gannon are hell-bound abominations.
Yet DeLay happily takes their money, and none of the parties seem to have any problem with this.
The real issue here is just apalling hyprocrisy, and a persistent willingness to exploit hatred, fear and misunderstanding for political advantage.
The Republicans won the Presidental election for many reasons, but the tipping point in Ohio probably was selling homphobia.
Sadly, given the often erotically-charged nature of homphobia, that’s not as far as one might think from what Guckert/Gannon as a fake marine toy for big boys was offering his clients.
Now we have the Guckert/Gannon fake journalist, and political consultant eager to get himself placed in a “Christain” re-education camp for sodomites, teaming up to further the DeLay and friends agenda.
I almost feel sorry for them. Of this Conservative cabal, everybody is using everybody. Unfortunately, we the American citizens have to pay the bills for their corruption and transgressions.
Let me end with the obvious. These men have no moral principles whatsoever: not even wrong or misguided ones. It’s well past time they stopped telling us what God wants for America.

People don’t read books this long anymore. They prefer magazines like PEOPLE and crap like that. Also, many people like to paint Ruppert as a conspiracy nut. I wish, frankly, he’d do a condensed versionof the book because I think more people would read it. Anyhow, after I read mine copy, I bought copies for two relatives, because I think others need to read what he has to say.

As a hard left gay Democrat, the Gannon thing is about his own personal hypocricy. He wrote many editorials condemning Gay Marriage and civil rights while he was working as a gay escort. Also real jourrnalists who have held permanant press passes with many predidents arre having problems getting security clearence under Dubya. But someone with dubious press credentials who is openly running an illegal prostitution business get’s a pass without any problems? Also Gannon has been seen at the same gay bars that married Scott McClellen has gone to on his owm and Gannon has entered the while house on many occasions when there was no press event happening.
In context the gay issues are relevent. I personally get frustrated when other Democratsa go on and on about the gay stuff out of context, cause then it sounds somewhat homophobic.
Gannon is a persona non grata at the White House now. Delay certainly doesn’t want to be seen with him. Gannon though is milking his 15 minutes for everything it’s worth. I’m sure he can afford the $250 a plate ticket. If you buy the ticket you get in. Very different than being an invited guest.
If we want to make the relevent charges about Gannon sticxk then we need to discuss them in an adult and non-salacious manner. In the post 9/11 world why did a prostituew have an easier time getting a pass than Maureen Dowd? Why did Secret Service allow him to come and go in the White House press confrence or not. Is Gannon and Talon related to the Armstrong Williams policy of buying journalists and creating fake news/proaganda. Also that a loud critic of gay rights pays his rent by selling gay sex.
