Scott McClellan Vs. Trent Lott

The White House is trying to paint Senate resistance to President Bush’s nominee to the United Nations, John Bolton, as partisan obstructionism. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said:

It’s clear that the Democratic leadership is not interested in finding a middle ground; they’re not interested in information. The information has been provided and made available to people.

Sorry, Mr. McClellan, but Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS) doesn’t agree. Listen for yourself:

Trent Lott to White House: Release the Bolton documents

Way to go, Sen. Lott. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

like the audio. you guys going to do more of this kind of thing?

Wow! Payback’s a bitch. ‘Twould appear that Senator Lott still hasn’t quite gotten over that little tussle a while back when Senator Frist was annointed by Dubya and the posse to replace Senator Lott.

Senator Reid can run this tape over and over and over again whenever asked by some bobblehead on TV why the Democrats don’t feel the time is yet right to vote on Mr. Bolton’s nomination. It’s bipartisan that not all of the requested information has been provided to the Senate to enable it to fulfill its constintutional duty.

  4. Patriot says:

what the hell? why would you compliment trent lott? i don’t care if you like what he said, there’s no reason to support him. this is what i hate about liberals. the right wing would never compliment michale moore, even if they agreed with something he said.

  5. kindness says:

So that makes it OK to HATE anyone? C’mon Patriot, calm down. You don’t hate him. That would imply that he has some link to you. Hate makes you suffer more than the one you hate. Bad karma, don’t go there. Be satisfied with disliking him immensly.

But I will give him credit for being more honest than our press secretary in this instance.

  6. Qusan says:

Ultimately, and perhaps hopefully, this will wind up being a bi-partisan battle between the Jr. Senators and the seasoned Sr. Senators who understand the purpose of the Senate. This constant scrapping on the ground along party lines – mainly so GOP’ers can show their loyalty to a President gone wild – is getting old and the more experienced Senators are growing weary of it.

  7. Gary Kleppe says:

Pat: Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. And you don’t get much more stopped than ol’ Trent.

  8. kjlovell says:

They say the information is out there.

Hell, everyone with even half a brain is interested.

What the DON’T tell you is the information is out there, but YOU CAN’T GET TO IT!!!!

Right in our faces… next they’ll be taking our houses and sending us to the death camps.

Brown shirt tactics, one party, no one can beat em. Hell, prescott and george (the less dumb one) financed Hitler, had their assets frozen in October 1942 for trading with the enemy. george (again, the less dumb one) helped some of the war criminals get into this country….

This kind of EVIL takes several generations to cultivate, and they learned from one of history’s best!

Keep up the really good work; the effort shows, but the content has an interesting slant; your site gets an enthusiastic bookmark just the same!
