You mean like Rove told reporters, “You know Wilson’s wife, who everyone thinks works for a US company, she’s CIA, please check with them for the details.”

I want to know, if the administration mind control point is that the WH nor Tenet ordered the trip and that made them mad so they had to destroy Wilsons’ wife, what is THEIR reason for NOT setting up the trip themselves or one just like it? If they did, what was the result? Niger was a rather large part of their case for war, I think it was even brought up during the State of the Union if I am not mistaken. :)

Maybe they knew the answer already?

Seems like only people in Bush’s cult can’t see this as a problem. I wondered if they could get them to rationalize it all away.

They can literally make them think anything at anytime.

You know, it’s been widely reported exactly what Rove said… he said (simply) that the guy’s wife worked for the agency, and did not detail which capacity.

As usual, the press and bloggers blew the damn thing out of proportion. Come on, people, get a life.

So the ‘mainstream’ press is finally engaged in the ‘investigation’ about whether it’s okay for the White House to leak the names of US operatives if it suits their political purposes. Great. This particular part of the story broke on 7/2 in the McPaper of news magazines, Newsweek. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8445696/site/newsweek.
Sadly, the other mainstream investigative pillar of the fourth estate, The New York Times, has had its own investigative efforts handcuffed by the Special Prosecuter indictment of their reporter for talking to someone about this issue (not publishing anything about it), essentially guaranteeing that no-one will talk to her. Time magazine indicted for same reason (talking to someone about this issue, not publishing CIA agent name).
Meanwhile, the guy (Hardcore conservative) who actually published the name of the CIA agent, who actually revealed her identity, and who said that he got his info from “Two Senior Administration Officials”, Bob Novak, is not in jail, not indicted, not charged.
This has massive coverup written all over it.
