I realize that Reno was not the press secretary you idiot!

One would have to wonder if you did from the specious comparison you made. The AG’s job isn’t to answer questions from the press corp. The Press Secretary’s job is, so your parallel is fraudulent at best.

There was no wrong doing on the part of Rove.

Based on what? Your intricate knowledge of the affair? Your detailed interviews with Rove? Are you part of the grand jury investigation?

There may have been some miscommunication but no one was under oath, unlike someone else I know.

Again, you know that Rove hasn’t falsely testified under oath? You think the White House’s (and Rove’s) false statements to the public are OK since they since they weren’t under oath? And remember, Bush refuses to go under oath for anything – even when questioned by the 9/11 commission. Why do you think that is?

You have a lot of explaining to do, unless you prefer your usual method of regaling us with more of your bold – but utterly baseless – opinions.

I realize that Reno was not the press secretary you idiot! I was comparing the press’s reaction to when she used it to when McClellan stated it over and over again. Janet Reno wasn’t the Press Secretary.

You Bush apologists are amazing. Your first tendency is to grasp for some form of relativistic explanation (though you claim to oppose it). Your second tendency is to invoke Clinton (still can’t get enough of the guy, eh?) as if apples compare to oranges.

Is it so difficult for you to admit that there is wrongdoing here that stands on its own?

By my count, Scotty used the “ongoing investigation” dodge seventeen times during the course of today’s briefing. Funny, the WH didn’t seem to have any problems commenting on an ongoing investigation before it became clear that Rove was the source of the leak.

Wow! Has actual journalistic vigor and integrity in following an important story returned to the white house press corps? I guess we’ll all find out in the days ahead if this story is allowed to (made to) just fade away like all the other could-have-been (should-have-been) decimating scandals of this administration.
