Of course… that’s why Bush NEVER testifies under oath. Therefore he can’t be held accountable.

Not that I’m suggesting yet another conspiracy. “Treason-gate” gives us plenty to work with. All the more so since it was done as an act of political revenge and disinformation.

It is about treason, isn’t it? Revealing the identity of a CIA agent under cover is a crime, correct?

Makes all other undercover agents feel uneasy? Intimidated? Distrustful of an entire Administrtion and White House?

Oh, wait, when Bill Clinton was president, Ken Starr was sent by the Republicans to sniff out some way to get Pres. Clinton out of the White House. White Water failed, and numerous other “congressional investigations” turned up nothing, UNTIL they decided to cross the line and ask Pres. Clinton a question about a harmless private affair under oath.

Someone mentioned to me the other day that there was some policy that the Republicans pushed through congress during the Clinton administration that allowed unlimited congressional investigations for just about anything that was conveniently allowed to expire right after Dubya became president. Thus, probably the reason why this investigation has to be over by October 1st, instead of having an unlimited amount of time and budget to devote to “congressional investigations” like they had with Clinton.

Unfortunately, it looks like if Bush has this investigation around his little finger (remember how he wiggled out of testifying under oath to investigators on the 9/11 report?), he’ll likely get out of this one, too.

If Democrats want justice, they need to create a policy so that they can have a Democratic version of Ken Starr vicious attack dog to hunt down Bush and his croonies, just like they did to Bill Clinton. However, this time instead of destroying a benign leader, the truth will be uncovered, the Constitution will re-established as the guiding force for our Country, and justice will truly be served.

Notice the hesitation after “I told one person.” Notice the phrasing “in the White House.” Does that mean that he told one person who was an official member of the White House? That he told a person who was physically in the White House when told?

Could he sort of truthfully give the answer he gave and still have told someone not “in the White House?” Would Karl Rove be considered someone “in the White House” before his official appointment after the elections? Would someone in their private residence in Maryland or Virginia be considered “in the White House?”

Just wondering.
