Intelligent Design, Unfortunately Rich was left out of that design.

  2. Brian says:

He also believes that the pursuit of happiness is harming America. Which means that he doesn’t believe in the Declaration of Independence either.

  3. Mikey says:

Right, and Rick only has sex for the purpose of procreation. No wonder he’s so uptight.

  4. Dwayne says:

a pity his mother also didn’t believe in birth control.

  5. Don Davis says:

Santorum and DUHbya make an absolute case for retroactive abortion.

  6. Darth Filibustrous says:

Is this a long-term strategy to convince conservatives to multipy in hordes, so that the red states stay red ?? :)

  7. Darth Filibustrous says:

Off topic, but news you probably won’t hear anywhere else:

FINALLY, a Democratic senator asks Pat Roberts, “Where the hell is Phase II ??” [paraphrasing]

  8. Mikey says:

Good article Darth, it’s about time. Of course, they can’t really go to phase II until the Plame leak investigation is done, that way Bushco can create a background story that jives with the “facts” found in the case.

  9. Carlton says:

In fact isn’t using birth control part of the responsibility while engaging in sex? It seems Santorum’s statement above is on its face, self contradictory.

  10. Ryan Neat says:

Not believing in abortion and birth control is about as rational as not believing in airplane flight because god would have given us wings if he’d meant to fly. Both beliefs are unscientific, irrational and frankly just stupid.

Doctors agree almost universally that alpha waves are the indication of a human being. Those don’t develop in the fetus until the last trimester – a point where the child would be ‘premature’ and an abortion isn’t normally done anyway, and in fact this form of abortion is already regulated at the state level – and quite rigorously.

Abortion and birth control issues are red herrings of the semi-illiterate and fully irrational.
