And I find that so ironic, because I’ve yet to every meet a CONservative that their brain engaged anytime I’ve discussed an important topic with them. I do know a few reasonably smart CONservatives – but they have this capacity to got to a ‘fight or flight’ mode intellectually, disengage all parts of the brain that aren’t a defense mechanism, and their intelligence and rationality completely disappears. If I didn’t know them in other parts of their lives, those interactions would make me believe that they’re the stupidest people ever!
