  1. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

    Noe kidding! Wow.

Actually, is this any indication of what happens when one side steals elections and ends up being the only party in power? Corruption? To the core?

  2. Bill says:

for the right-wing, indictments are the new black…

  3. interest says:

hopefully, this is the first in a long string of charges against corrupt politicians. Patrick fitzgerald should follow Ohio’s lead.

  4. David B says:

Just another day at work for republicans. They’ll just use this as a lesson on how not to get caught with their hand in the cookie jar again. May they all rot in hell.

  5. Spudge_Boy says:

    Actually, it is 52 charges.

  6. Darth Filibustrous says:

  7. Blue State Red says:

If these charges are true Taft should resign. he has been a disaster as governor.

  8. Ooops says:

There have been some stories in the “Liberal Media” that the right is touting as proof that it’s… all Clinton’s fault. Bullshit. They omitted a few important points. Spinmonkeys.

Seeing The Forest helps you see the forest for the trees.

Here’s what they don’t want you to see from The All Spin Zone:

October, 2001: Earliest Documentation on Iraq War Planning

This afternoon, the National Security Archives at George Washington University released some stunning documents, that seem to further corroborate the Downing Street Minutes, as well as buttress the argument that there was precious little post-war planning in the rush to topple Saddam. Among them is this State Department powerpoint slide:

Digest the date in the first bullet point for a moment. 10/2001 – barely one month after the events of September 11th, when all efforts of the U.S. government should have been focused completely, and without hesitation, on finding Osama “Who?” Bin Laden.

Here’s a full list of the document dump today by the National Security Archive.

  9. Jon says:

Sounds like the Ohio governor will bump California’s from this week’s Avenging Angel’s list.

  10. Marie says:

    Ooops,
The MSM has already forgotten the DSM and so has the public — this is validation but will anyone pay attention?

  11. Ooops says:

It’s all the same. DSM, PlameGate… It’s all the same. As soon as indictments start rolling in, MSM will cover it. These aren’t copies of British docs, either. These are the real deal.

  12. Susan says:

Don’t be pestimistic people. We are winning the war on criminals in office.

I just attended a peace rally to support Cindy Sheehan IN A REPUBLICAN COUNTY!

I’m telling you people, even the republicans are fed up. They are coming out in droves to support the impeachment movement. Being at a Cindy event I mentioned votetoimpeach.org and you wouldn’t believe how many people came up to me to ask me to repeat the web address. I was truly impressed.

People are fed up and are taking action.

We will win the war on criminals in office.

  13. Susan says:

If you can support my cause by visiting my site I would truly appreciate it. I’m walking to Springfield, Illinois to petition the governor to include debt education in schools. (Credit card companies target students like the military recruiters do, they are unscrupulous)

I understand that many of you are not Illinois residents but our cause has taken on a national agenda. WE HAVE TO WALK TO SPRINGFIELD BECAUSE WE CANNOT AFFORD THE RISING COST OF GASOLINE.

We have added that message to our local cause. Nationally we must let this administration know that just because other countries are not competent enough to negotiate low cost gasoline doesn’t mean that our President has to follow suit.

Every American President has been able to keep the price of gasoline at a reasonable rate and Bushie must do the same or be fired from his position.

Speak out for me if you can. Thank you.

  14. Susan says:

Sign Cindys petition at michaelmoore.com/after you sign you will be directed to a link to write Laura Bush a letter that will be delivered to her tomorrow. (Thurs.)

You must do this immediately to be included.

    I wrote: Dear Laura,

I understand why your husband is unable to feel sorrow. Anti depressants have that affect on people. But you on the other hand should have the feeling of sorrow for the mothers who have lost children in Iraq.

Cindy and the rest of the country want honest anwers to why we invaded Iraq when Saddam Hussein was not a threat to America. And if he was in your mind such a threat then why haven’t you sent your daughters to fight this “noble cause”?

Why are our children dying in Iraq? Why can’t we get an honest answer? Why does the reason for the war change on a daily basis?

The majority of the country believe that control over Iraqs oil is the reason for the 1800+ dead soldiers. The minority of the country who support the war in Iraq believe that we went to war for a regime change which is against the law and is an impeachable offense.

Either way Laura, your husband is not sitting well with the American People. Most say oil, the rest say criminal act, which is it?

  15. Terrytheturtle says:

My right-wing Bush-voting brother-in-law in Toledo reports that Mr Noe has had to pull his kids from their local private school, sell both his Ohio houses and move to his third Florida because of the Coingate scandal. Noe-where to hide scumbag!

  16. Concerned Conservative says:

I’m not that familiar with Taft, but from what I know they can’t get him out of office fast enough!

Susan, bravo on your march! I applaud the passion. But would you consider also implementing more personal financial education in the schools? I think there is a complete lack of practical “life management” education in our high schools and instead of blaming the marketers I think we should educate the consumers.

    What do you think?

  17. Marie says:

Note to Mr. Noe — “poor baby.” Boo-hoo.

  18. Terrytheturtle says:

I’m all for educating consumers: start here by starving the Republican party of your money by boycotting companies that give a significant amount of money to the GOP and go with those who don’t.

    http://www.buyblue.org/

    Simple things you can do:
    (1) Shop at Costco and not WalMart
    (2) Buy gasoline from Citgo and not from the others

    Next step:
    (1) Change your car insurance to Progressive (definitely not State Farm)

  19. Chris says:

great tips Terry.but i would also add Dominos Pizza to the list.they arent just republicans, they want to turn our country into a christian nation. literally.read up on the owners of Dominos and where their money goes. it will piss you off.

  20. Ohioan says:

What’s hilarious is that Taft actually has the option to pardon himself even after a conviction! But Ohioans won’t stand for it, and he’s a goner.

A funny tidbit: Taft’s great-grandfather President Taft was famous for splitting the Republican Party in 1910 into moderates and conservatives… thus helping Democrats win…

    You thinking what I’m thinking?

  21. Jeff says:

Excuse me, Rush, could you step away from the medicine cabinet and axplain this to me.

  22. The Northeast Dilemma says:

Taft is RINO trash. They can throw his as* in jail for all I care. He has literally destroyed Ohio and the state GOP.

Voinivich, Taft and DeWine could all go down for all I care. They are liars and they are the reason Republicans are in trouble in the state. Contrary to liberal belief, it has nothing to do with the war in Ohio.

But even with all that, Ohio still voted against Kerry – lol!!

  23. The Northeast Dilemma says:

Susan – Cindy Sheehan is a disgrace and a wack-job. She will only hurt your cause. Most moderates I know are upset with Bush, but think Sheehan is disgusting for exploiting her son’s death.

If you guys want to keep her on the front page – fine. It only helps Republicans and makes liberals look like fools.

  24. Gary Kleppe says:

But even with all that, Ohio still voted against Kerry

You’re still a liar, Neddy. Ohio didn’t vote against Kerry. Diebold and Kenny Blackwell fixed the election.

  25. The Northeast Dilemma says:

Gary – you are a LIAR. AND delusional. Bush won and until you accept that you will only see more defeat. Thank god for idiots like you.

  26. Gary Kleppe says:

Neddy, I know it’s not your forte, but try using a little logic. If you really thought I was hurting my own cause, and therefore helping your cause, you wouldn’t be trying your best (which admittedly isn’t all that good, but oh well) to discourage me from doing what I’m doing.

Stay away from the poker table, Neddy. You’re not very good at bluffing.

  27. cynical ex-hippie says:

Yeah NED, how dare an American citizen attempt redress of greivances with a public elected official — in public no less! How shameful.

No American citizen should have the right to petition the President for any reason. That’s the trouble with this country, too much free speech and free assembly. Now if only there were a way to stifle dissent… wouldn’t that be great?

  28. The Northeast Dilemma says:

#26 – where did I say that Sheehan didn’t have the right to do what she’s doing? Personally, I hope she keeps doing it. She’s a proven liar and will only help rally the right wing base of the Republican Party. We will use her the way we used Michael Moore.

  29. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

  30. progressive and proud says:

Yes, you repubs are all users and I would expect no less from any of you.

  31. Susan says:

CC, you can read the petition at my site. We are asking for personal finance education. More importantly we are asking for guaranteed funding, we don’t want the kids to be left behind.

NED, I talk to republicans every day as I live in a republican county. I ask them to sign my education petition and they do but the conversation always turns to Bushie. You are the whacko and the minority. Sorry honey but your party has turned on you.

  32. jamie says:

I started a petition that I will be delivering to the Governor asking for his resignation from the office of Governor. If you are an Ohio resident and interested in sweeping the corruption out of Columbus then please sign the petition at the following link:
