Along with Reagan’s failed mission to Lebanon where we showed terrorists the we both lacked the ability to take care of our soldiers and also that we would retreat when bloodied, the cake and missiles adventure to Teheran was a watershed.

Of course, Carter and Zbig started this blowback, but Reagan turned on the fans.

Larry Silverstein owned all three.

In the documentary “America Rebuilds”, aired September 2002, Silverstein makes the following statement in reference to WTC 7;

“I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, ‘We’ve had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.’ And they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse.” [mp3]

Building 7 had small fires on just a couple of floors.
Building 7 was a block away from WTC 1 and 2 and was not hit by debris.
Buildings NOT owned by Larry Silverstein that were adjacent to buildings 1 and 2 did not collapse and sustained more damaage than building 7.

What do you suppose he meant by “Pull it”?

Understand that throughout history, tyrannical governments have used terror against their own people for political gain. Its a fact, jack.

Seriously though. Do you believe for a minute that Bush administration actively caused 9/11? That’s your problem if you do.

Was 9/11 preventable? Probably not. It could have had one plane or 20 but with what we were doing at that time with air security etc it still would have happened IMHO.

Who is to blame? The terrorist.

Should we have party above country? Good question but it is the “party” that sets the direction for the country for next 4 years(and we do have 3 branches of government still the last time I checked) and you can go with it or cross party lines when you vote. Enough said and good observation though and point to make.

You’ve said alot above with providing any factual links to any of that. That’s a disservice to other readers who would like to “fact check” you and gross disservice to those that have the same beliefs as you and you keep them locked in a perpetual state of mis-information and do not allow the reader to check the facts. That’s why the most popular blogs and commenters provids links that reference when a point is made as fact. The street goes both ways.
