Bartlett: Tolerating Saudis “Got Us 9/11″

Yesterday on CBS’s “Early Show,” senior presidential advisor Dan Bartlett took the “opportunity to clarify what President Bush is saying” about the war on terrorism:

BARTLETT: Not only after 9/11 do we have to go after Osama bin Laden and the people who perpetrated the act on 9/11, but also we had to change our policy in the Middle East.

The policies of stability in tolerating dictatorships got us 9/11 in the first place. The status quo has to change.

(CROSSTALK)

SMITH: So you’re talking about Saudi Arabia then?

BARTLETT: Absolutely.

I guess this means that, deep down, President Bush was secretly not tolerating Saudi King Abdullah when they held hands and strolled through the wild flowers together in Crawford.

Yea, like the bush dynasty is gonna kill their primary money tree. The Carlyle Group would be VERY unhappy about any such ideas. I wouldn’t be all too bothered by the coup they would throw except that they would probably install Cheney as President. That would suck even worse than dumbya (and that’s really hard to do).

  2. Zookeeper says:

Georgie held hands with the King, but he didn’t really enjoy it, and he had his fingers crossed behind his back. He tolerates SO much for the American people. He really just wanted this lovely picture for his scrapbook.

    (sarcasm off now)

  3. KJ Lovell says:

Dumbya will dump the saudi royal family when he figures out how to STEAL their money and take over the carlyle group.

Carlyle group …. MAKING A KILLING!

  4. SpudgeBoy says:

Oh, hey I don’t have thast picture yet. I collect pistures of Bush in stupid situations. This one will go down in the anals of history as one of the sumbest things a president has ever done in office.

Hold hands with the enemy. Way to go George.

  5. Dartanyon says:

Maybe King Abdullah swallows? You can be damed sure Laura, AKA, Pickles Bush, doesn’t.

  6. Skid says:

So I suppose democratic elections (in name only) in Saudi Arabia, like Egypt and ______(insert country name here) is a shining example of freedom on the march in the Middle East. HELP, DOES ANYONE KNOW THE HEIMLICH MANEUVER?

  7. Gerald Gibson Jr. says:

In England in the past if someone in the political sphere was seen as trying to get a pro France leader elected …there was a lynching not to far away for them. Hell here in America McCarthy deported Charlie Chaplin for being a communist sympathizer. WTF should we be doing about these Saudi sell outs in the White House? They hit us on 911 and then Bush is still best buddies with them??? Can you imagine FDR attacking Indonesia after Pearl Harbor and then walking around holding hands with the Emporer of Japan??? When are we going to make these assholes pay?

  8. Carlyle Group HR says:

We just deleted Dan Bartlett’s resume from our database. How dare he insult the King!

  9. Arabian Oil for the Public Party says:

We just hired a new spokesman. He’s ex-White House, I think his name is Dan Bartlett.

  10. Darth Filibustrous says:

No, that means Bush & his oil buddies got us 9/11 by tolerating Saudis.

  11. Skid says:

    Daily Thoughts by Skid Handey:

So now TWO of Bush’s buddies have tested positive for performance-enhancing substances (Palmero, Armstrong), which leads me to two questions; What will Bush say about Armstrong and why don’t they share with him to enhance HIS performance?

  12. deegahl says:

Bad Bartlett. You upset the Saudis. No Oil for you!

  13. Terrytheturtle says:

Why does Dan Bartlett hate Amurka?

  14. Don says:

The Chimp is determined to enhance Osama bin Laden’s fortunes in the Middle East. So far, he has done a lot in Iraq, with the country in turmmoil and Muslim fundamentalists in charge, and America weakened, and once in awhile, to sustain his stupidity index at a high level, he has to ‘threaten’ the Saudi dictators. But they know he’s just kidding, he’s one of the family.

  15. Yankeluh says:

Hey, Dartanyon, I think it is dumdumya that swallows. Must explain why he is always squinting.

  16. TAC says:

When Bush publicly kissed King Abdullah during a recent visit, that was only the tip of the iceberg. I’ve heard rumors of an underground video making the rounds, apparently shot by a White House insider, of the two saudomizing each other. Raw, carnal images, is what I’ve heard.

  17. Dartanyon says:

Yankeluh, Yeah, you’re correct. Bush likes to swallow two things: 1.) oil and 2.) c…, well you get the picture.

  18. David D. says:

    It’s Bill Clinton’s fault.

I’m sure they’re trying to say, convolutedly, that Clinton’s Middle East policies are what got us into this situation, but Glorious Leader has fixed all of that, so now all we need to do is stay the course.

  19. Princeton Progressive Nation says:

Pre-9/11 US-Saudi Policy Under Bush Administration

After reading White House adviser Dan Bartlett’s comment that American tolerance of dictatorships- including Saudi Arabia- “got us 9/11,” I wondered what the Bush administration’s policy toward that regime was in the months and years leading up to …

  20. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

The Carlyle group? Hmmm… weren’t the bin Ladens investors in that group along side about bunch of Saudi Royals, the Bush family, and much of the folk who make up the current BushCo administration?

Seems like they’re digging their hole ever deeper. But when will they fall in? When we push them? :-)

  21. C says:

actually, Dick Cheney,Perle,Wolfowitz and people who think like them got us 9/11.

  22. spyder says:

You know i always thought that picture was really taken from the Saudi perspective. “Look our Arab friends, we have control of the US president. Do not worry!”

  23. Paul Lyon says:

I thought it was the Saudi Ambassador he was holding hands with. Did I miss something?

Also the oily deal of the Saudis with the U.S. goes back to an agreement made during WWII by FDR with Ibn Saud. This is been a bi-partisan policy.

  24. Susan says:

Even Bushie’s advisers can’t keep the story straight after so many lies. Good job Bartlett, you screwed the Bushie good.

  25. cynical ex-hippie says:

Paul, that is then crown Prince Abdullah, now King Abdullah. He has two major distinctions:

    1) The only sitting world leader who can be financially tied to 9/11 (via charities under his control)

    2) The only world leader to enjoy two one-on-one visits to Bush’s ranch.

Every time that monster sets foot on American soil, he stomps on the graves of 9/11.

  26. cynical ex-hippie says:

Also, the oil thing goes back to the 1920s when exploration in Saudi Arabia was done by American and British companies.

  27. cynical ex-hippie says:

A good title for that picture would be:

    KNOW YOUR ENEMY

  28. Sharon Cox says:

David D. I think you left off part of the “stay the course” preaching of King George. Think it should be Stay the intercourse and we the people are the one’s his bunch are screwing. I am sick of the pictures of these men holding hand’s and speaking about Bushes wild flowers while people all over the world are loosing their lives. Greed and power has caused devastating results. Hold hands with traitors and killers refuse to answer any accounting for his own lies, cover ups and miss deeds and be sure to surround your self with loyalists who make up more lies as they go. Do all these people go to Pat Robertsons church.? Just wondering.

  29. C says:

cynical, the ISI was involved in 9/11, so i would say Musharraf(spelling) also has something to do with it.the head of the ISI sent money to Atta shortly before the attacks. i find it hard to believe the president of Pakistan didnt know about this.

  31. TimeCube CubicAO says:

A crystal is what knowledge is, it was however fallen through-below a murky sea. They throw an anchor from a sea, making it stuck, and it will still be stuck if they don’t do something about it.

But at present, they are confused. How has the anchor reacted? Did it undergo magnetic fusion with the seabed-rocks? Being sailors, they thus conjecture, not knowing that they might be on the mark.

However, religious zealots are people who blindly believe fiction. Blindly believing, they are deserving of the ignorance to which they are bound. Moreover, their erroneous impression is that the vague, error-prone religious scriptures are an evidence in support of their faith.

But, Occam’s razor speaks differently. What Occam’s razor is, is a rational principle. Telling us what not to believe, it protects our rationality.

Fantasy and reality merge together, though, and when the dangerous thrill of the unknown takes seize of everything that is living–then, only, can change occur. Then, only, is evolution able to take place!

Evolution contrasts itself to nihilism. It’s in contrast to abandoning the anchor, forever in its depth. Having made that clear, it is now time for us to raise the anchor. We have reached the time to think rationally.

Is God real? The negative is concluded, given that Time Cube’s proven true, meaning that a 1-corner God cannot be.

Time Cube, however, has four corners. Four corners.
