May God bless and protect them all.

  2. Zwack says:

Are his daughters going to go too? Or would they rather follow in their father’s footsteps?

    Z.

If there is a God as christians suggest, I would love to see some evidence of justice on human terms. It’s otherwise just so remote an idea that George, Dick, Donald, Condi, and Colin will all rot in hell for eternity.

  7. Clyde the Ripper says:

Ease up guys! From a few earlier posts we have been informed by the trolls that these are all volunteer heroes answering the call to the noble cause.

  8. Blue State Red says:

Once again, the left proves itself incapable of expressing either gratitude or admiration. These additional troops are being deployed specifically to assist with election security. Like the Freedom Riders of the 1960s, these men and women deserve our deepest thanks.

  9. afterthought says:

Were you a freedom rider too?

  10. afterthought says:

    So multi-patriotic
Did you bash heads at Altamont with the
    bikers?

  11. afterthought says:

BTW, you had the first post but forgot to thank
    them.

  12. Clyde the Ripper says:

    BS Red,

Again you obfuscate the issue! You have been preaching for the last two days or so that our troops in Iraq are volunteers for the noble cause. Now you say that more are being deployed, probably against their will, specifically to rig another election like the two that gave us the current disaster. If you want to go back to the 1960’s let’s visit the Kingston Trio and their comments on the subject of soldiers going to war (actually they went to graveyards, every one): “When will they ever learn?”

  13. Susan says:

Belive me BS, my neighbor is in the National Guard Reserves and has been for 13 years. He just got back from his 2 weeks and must return this weekend for drill.

He is married with two children, HE DOES NOT WANT TO GO TO IRAQ! Like the majority of Americans he does not believe in this illegal war. The National Guard has tried to make him an officer with a $10,000 per year pay raise and he says no way. Not everybody who joined the service believes that Iraq is a noble cause.

Since you do BS, I suggest you sign up and quit being a chickenhawk. And take those ugly Bushie girls with ya.

  14. Susan says:

I just saw the Pruit retard on the news. She sounds and looks like a drunk. Bushie must have found her in the local bar.

  15. Terrytheturtle says:

Give these soldiers their due: they go because they are ordered to go, please stop denigrating their ability or will to not go based on their political affiliations. They don’t wnat to leave their buddies to do something by themselves.

This is the point: it is up to you to make sure that when they go, you make sure they go for the right reasons and question your leaders so that they make the right decisions before they put their lives on the line. That’s your role and the soldiers trust you to do it.

  16. Jon says:

1500 troops doesn’t change the fundamental truth: the United States is a path to lose.

Here’s a new strategy that at least offers the hope of salvaging the situation in Iraq.

  17. Leatherneck says:

Susan #15: Mrs. Pruit is a fine woman and mother and proud of her sons, I am sure. Like the fireman of 9-11 that Bush put his arms around, she is, unfortunately, just another tool (or fool) for Bush to use shamelessly to try and boster his own popularity.

  18. Gary Kleppe says:

Jon: I have a simpler, two-point strategy. (1) Get the hell out. (2) Pay reparations, preferably to be taken out of the treasuries of Carlyle Group and Halliburton.

  19. Russ Feingold (D-WI) says:

“And the president has presented us with a false choice. It’s either stay the course or cut and run. What I’m suggesting is we can have a middle course, a course that allows us for success in Iraq and allows us to return to the larger issue, which is the fight against terrorism all around the world.”

  20. Anne says:

This new deployment is not just for the elections, he’s pushing this in the face of the anti-war movement

  21. Susan says:

You got it right Anne. Everything Bushie does is to cover his own ass and lies. He’s a criminal and nothing he does is intelligent or noble.
