Bush Needs New Spin For Iraq

President Bush’s message on Iraq over the past few weeks has been consistent: don’t worry about the persistent violence because the political process in on track. Here’s Bush on August 11:

I had a meeting with the defense team and earlier this morning with Condi Rice and Don Rumsfeld…We discussed recent developments in Iraq, including the political progress that is taking place in that country. Despite the acts of violence by the enemies of freedom, Iraq’s elected leaders are now finishing work on a democratic constitution.

Unfortunately, that talking point won’t work anymore:

Parliament announced it had no plans to meet Thursday night and no date for a future session, signaling Iraqi factions were failing to reach agreement on a new constitution before a self-imposed midnight target.

Dan Bartlett better get to work.

Do the Bushies hire anyone with any experience in foreign affairs to do any kind of work, or do they pick these kids up at fraternity rush parties?

Howdy, folks. You may be aware of Monday’s poll that revealed Bush’s approval rating to have dropped to 36% from the 42% he garnered in July. Not only is this a new low for him, it’s lower than the 39% Nixon received in 1973 during the height of Watergate! But did you hear about this in your local paper or news broadcast? Probably not, since it has nothing to do with Natalee Holloway or Paris Hilton. It simply hasn’t registered with the mainstream media yet. BUT WE CAN FIX THAT! Listed below are the contact addresses for 36 major newspapers and news magazines. PLEASE COPY-AND-PASTE THESE INTO AN E-MAIL URGING THESE PUBLICATIONS TO REPORT ON THIS DRAMATIC DEVELOPMENT. You should include a brief message, or you might choose to paste the following:

On Monday, American Research Group, a reputable polling firm established in 1985, released a new poll of 1,100 Americans that pegs President Bush’s approval rating at only 36%, having dropped from 42% in July, revealing a major shift over the past month (link 1). Amazingly, Bush’s 36% rating falls below the 39% garnered by Richard Nixon in July 1973 during the Watergate scandal (link 2). I urge your publication to report on this highly newsworthy development as an important service to your readers. Thank you.

Include commas between e-mail addresses. And your e-mail service might allow no more than 10-20 recipients per message, so you may have to send up to three e-mails. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ACTIVISM!!!

The man surrounds himself with sycophants, people who have learned that they must tell the boy-king only what he wants to hear. Then they get promoted, or get a medal of freedom – or in Rummy’s case, not fired. Cross him and you are crossed off. So in the self-centered needs of themselves, they tell the prez what he wants and everyone of them is happy.
If these reports of Bush’s temper are true, I want to be around when he implodes — I hope it happens in front of the camera.
As for the comments on the other threads from Capitol Blue and Bush’s tantrums, I would not place a lot of stock in one source, but I have read this in other sites as well, on other topics, so….stay tuned for the Bush exploding finale.

  6. C says:

dont worry, he’ll just link Iraq with 9/11 and terrorism(which wasnt in Iraq before the war) and the american sheeple will accept it.

  7. Susan says:

The constitution referendum will not pass without the Sunni’s support. We the intelligent folk understand that. Bushie on the other hand is living in psycho-land.

The chickenhawks that hang around here visit psycho-land so often they do not even try to understand the differences between Shiites, Kurds and Sunni’s.

The constitution is dead in the water, I accept that and it does not shock me. You cannot force democracy on people.

Naw…you’re behind the times. The new neocon talking points are that splitting Iraq up is GOOD.

I wonder home many rogue nations are now thinking, ‘Why should we be afraid of the pathetic United States anymore, look at the spectacle they have made in poor, tiny Iraq. They don’t have enough military might left to scare Lichtenstein”

Kim Il Song must be laughing his ass off.

George W., you are a complete dickhead

  10. Susan says:

Real fish, you are sooo right on. Bushie planned to weaken America from day one. The supposed words from Osam Bin Laden “I will bankrupt America” are really Bushies words. Bushie hates America and is doing everything he can to destroy it. He allowed 9-11 to happen to gain support for his oil stealing plan. He is a traitor and dictator and must be removed from office immediately.

  11. Bob says:

Bush is not a critical thinker…. I know, slight understatement, but anyone with a sense of common sense would look at how other countries with years of dealing with terrorism responded. But, then invading Iraq wasn’t about fighting terrorism. I think the reason bush continues to repeat the lies of 9-11 is that it’s really hard work to learn a new script. It’s very hard, hard work…and he’s on vacation and getting on with his life so a different script will have to wait.

  12. Pablo in Mexico says:

Things are so desperate for Bushco with the Iraqi constitution that Bush himself is making calls over there to expedite the matter.

He is telling them to fuck the Sunnis because they do not have enought numbers to defeat the constitution at the ballot box.

Bush is the most ridiculous of men, oh, wait a minute, he is not a man, he is still a little boy born with a silver foot in his mouth. He never sucked tit as a child, he chewed on dollar bills.

Here’s a new spin for dumbya

George Walker Bush is a much, much lower turd than whale dung. Here’s a bit more solid proof for those who wonder how Smirko got to be the most powerful coke-whore on the planet:

CIA, Nazis & the Republican Party

    A Fresh Look

    by Carla Binion

Investigative reporter Christopher Simpson says in BLOWBACK that after World War II, Nazi émigrés were given CIA subsidies to build a far-right-wing power base in the U.S. These Nazis assumed prominent positions in the Republican Party’s “ethnic outreach committees.” Simpson documents the fact that these Nazis did not come to America as individuals but as part of organized groups with fascist political agendas.

The Nazi agenda did not die along with Adolf Hitler. It moved toAmerica (or a part of it did) and joined the far right of the Republican Party. Simpson shows how the State Department and the CIA put high-ranking Nazis on the intelligence payroll “for their expertise in propaganda and psychological warfare,” among other purposes…

Journalist Russ Bellant (OLD NAZIS, THE NEW RIGHT, AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY) shows that Laszlo Pasztor, a convicted Nazi war collaborator, built the Republican émigré network. Pasztor, who served as adviser to Republican Paul Weyrich, belonged to the Hungarian Arrow Cross, a group that helped liquidate Hungary’s Jews. Pasztor was founding chairman of the Republican Heritage Groups Council. Two months before the November 1988 presidential election, a small newspaper, Washington Jewish Week, disclosed that a coalition for the Bush campaign included a number of outspoken Nazis and anti-Semites. The article prompted six leaders of Bush’s coalition to resign.

According to Russ Bellant, Nazi collaborators involved in the Republican Party included:

    * Radi Slavoff, GOP Heritage Council’s executive director, and head of “Bulgarians for Bush.” Slavoff was a member of a Bulgarian fascist group, and he put together an event in Washington honoring Holocaust denier, Austin App.

    * Florian Galdau, director of GOP outreach efforts among Romanians, and head of “Romanians for Bush.” Galdau was once an Iron Guard recruiter, and he defended convicted Nazi war criminal Valerian Trifa.

    * Nicholas Nazarenko, leader of a Cossack GOP ethnic unit. Nazarenko was an ex-Waffen SS officer.

    * Method Balco, GOP activist. Balco organized yearly memorials for a Nazi puppet regime.

    * Walter Melianovich, head of the GOP’s Byelorussian unit. Melianovich worked closely with many Nazi groups.

    * Bohdan Fedorak, leader of “Ukrainians for Bush.” Fedorak headed a Nazi group involved in anti-Jewish wartime pogroms.
