Cindy "Peace Mom" Sheehan camped out near President Bush's Texas ranch to demand a meeting with the president - if you can call staying in an air-conditioned trailer "camping out."

One observer of the scene, who considers himself a conservative, visited Crawford "to understand what was actually happening."

Here's what he was told:

"I found a well-funded, well-orchestrated public relations campaign, run by media professionals complete with the highest quality electronic equipment.

"Most of the Sheehan protesters were either professional (paid staff of a public relations group or radical organizations), or were long-time protesters, some admitting to beginning vigils against the government as early as 1965."

When the talk turned to politics, "they all responded the same way: ?It is America's fault.' No matter what the issue, each and every one of them had the same default: Bad things are America's fault.

"Cindy Sheehan spent most of her time huddled with VIPs in an air-conditioned trailer. When she ventured out it was for a scripted and often televised moment.

"During one conversation I had with her I tried to ask her a pointed question about how much time she would actually be on the bus tour to Washington. (I had discovered she would only be on the tour for two days, and would be away giving speeches during the rest of the trip ... and I wondered if she was being paid for these speeches.)

"Her media person grabbed her arm and led her back to the trailer and away from me.

"But a few minutes later, she emerged from the trailer, smiling and performing for the cameras. Like the chicken at the local carnival that plays tic tac toe, she eagerly performs for any microphone."

According to Russ Bellant, Nazi collaborators involved in the Republican Party included:

* Radi Slavoff, GOP Heritage Council’s executive director, and head of “Bulgarians for Bush.” Slavoff was a member of a Bulgarian fascist group, and he put together an event in Washington honoring Holocaust denier, Austin App.

* Florian Galdau, director of GOP outreach efforts among Romanians, and head of “Romanians for Bush.” Galdau was once an Iron Guard recruiter, and he defended convicted Nazi war criminal Valerian Trifa.

* Nicholas Nazarenko, leader of a Cossack GOP ethnic unit. Nazarenko was an ex-Waffen SS officer.

* Method Balco, GOP activist. Balco organized yearly memorials for a Nazi puppet regime.

* Walter Melianovich, head of the GOP’s Byelorussian unit. Melianovich worked closely with many Nazi groups.

* Bohdan Fedorak, leader of “Ukrainians for Bush.” Fedorak headed a Nazi group involved in anti-Jewish wartime pogroms.

I feel sick. So the Republican Party really is the third-Reich. Neo-Con, Neo-Nazi, it all becomes so much clearer. I'm amazed that Jewish Republicans, can live with themselves.

I JUDGE, and dumbya, his family and anyone he associates with are EVIL!

George Walker Bush is a much, much lower turd than whale dung. Here's a bit more solid proof for those who wonder how Smirko got to be the most powerful coke-whore on the planet:

CIA, Nazis & the Republican Party

A Fresh Look

by Carla Binion

Investigative reporter Christopher Simpson says in BLOWBACK that after World War II, Nazi émigrés were given CIA subsidies to build a far-right-wing power base in the U.S. These Nazis assumed prominent positions in the Republican Party's "ethnic outreach committees." Simpson documents the fact that these Nazis did not come to America as individuals but as part of organized groups with fascist political agendas.

The Nazi agenda did not die along with Adolf Hitler. It moved toAmerica (or a part of it did) and joined the far right of the Republican Party. Simpson shows how the State Department and the CIA put high-ranking Nazis on the intelligence payroll "for their expertise in propaganda and psychological warfare," among other purposes...

Journalist Russ Bellant (OLD NAZIS, THE NEW RIGHT, AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY) shows that Laszlo Pasztor, a convicted Nazi war collaborator, built the Republican émigré network. Pasztor, who served as adviser to Republican Paul Weyrich, belonged to the Hungarian Arrow Cross, a group that helped liquidate Hungary's Jews. Pasztor was founding chairman of the Republican Heritage Groups Council. Two months before the November 1988 presidential election, a small newspaper, Washington Jewish Week, disclosed that a coalition for the Bush campaign included a number of outspoken Nazis and anti-Semites. The article prompted six leaders of Bush's coalition to resign.

The email came from a longtime House staffer who currently works for a powerful congressman and says it's been around the Hill and back, vetted and authenticated. Some of the information we've all seen before. Some is verrry enlightening.

I wholeheartedly appreciate Abe's posting #106. It is the root cause of this mess and the truth. Righties who support this wacko administration are unpatriotic and unChristian. They would rather stand with their party and the lying resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue than stand up for their nation. They are a bunch of blood-thirsty warmongering idiots who are ripping at the fabric of our nation and all that is decent.

I want to know when exactly will the "mission" be accomplished? I read that the administration had lowered its expectations and goals for Iraq, so I'm wondering how we know when we've reached success? Will it be when the Islamist theocracy is securely established?

Isnt' it telling that the Bushites are stomping all over Sheehan, who lost her son in a war that she doesn't see as noble. When the Iraqi constitution if it ever arrives gives women fewer rights than they had under Saddam, when the Islamist fundamentalists rule the government in all matters of law, will any Bushite then agree that there is no nobility in this stupid, stupid war? Bush himself has to find another mother to back him up as if to say "see, there is a mother who agrees with me." He is weak, a spineless coward who has been handed on a platter everything he has in life and he is unable to exhibit proper compassion and empathy because he is cold and calculating -- looking out only for himself and his friends.
What more will it take to convince Bushites that their leader has betrayed them, used their loyalty, and doesn't give a rat's ass about them?

Odd...There is something very wrong with Pruette's answer to Zahn's question:
*************
>ZAHN: There are so many things that must keep you awake at night.
What is your chief concern as your son's service continues over there?

>T. PRUETT: My greatest concern is that we stand firm, that we stand behind the president, that we
continue this battle until it's done and we bring all of our boys and women home safely, but not until it's
ready.
************

Notice Pruette, the mom, didn't reply:

"My greatest concern is that my son's don't get their blood cells scattered
all over creation by a bomb."

Apparently, She doesn't care if they come home whole, or alive.

Only they must back the president..What a fool she is...

Abe - when you understand the term "imperialism" get back with me. And have you noticed that "neo-con" is the new buzzword for 'conservative --ickkk- JEW"?
Turtle - why would I worry about FDR and Churchill's association with Hitler...oooooooopppppps, STALIN. All the fashionable "useful idiots" applauded Stalin. (Another clever diversionary tactic!) I'm sure that modern progressives (ie: the anti -global/capitalism/imperialism crowd) criticize communism not on theory but for the poor application of the theory. Got to love the appearance of re-distributing that wealth, you egalitarian, you!! Guilt-wracked Hollywood types joined the romance of the Red Brigade - Pulitzers were awarded to more "useful idiots" - (Omigosh - - I fell for the classic progressive tangent tactic - but it was fun!)

Alexa I understand that Sharon the butcher of Bakka and AIPAC, ADL JINSA and a host of other Zionist lobbies and think tanks in the U.S. support the war in Iraq. They with the neocons, NYT, Washington Post and all of the T.V. media cartels and all of the right wing Christian wackos, the defense contractors, mercenary corporations (private contractors), oilmen and a host of others benefiting from largesse of the American taxpayer all support the war. So why is it unreasonable that anti war protesters would object to Israels involvement in this war.

You must believe we are stupid. We know who the neocons are. Wolfowitz, Feith, Abrams, Libby, Pearle, Woolsey, Kristol, Horowitz, Krauthammer, Kupperman. They are mostly Jewish, all pro Zionist and in league with the Likud party of Israel. There allegiances are dual. They are the architects of the war in Iraq they have been planning it since the early nineties as evidenced by the Project for a New American Century's (a neocon think tank) statement of principles.

They have used the emotional turmoil of 9/11 to advance their case for American imperialism, that is to use the American military in the absence of any other super power to advance U.S. business and political interests around the world by unilateral and preemptive action.

Well gosh golly gee whiz by starting in Iraq they could get the oilmen on board and provide a convenient way to destroy Iraq and hopefully every other Arab nation perceived as a threat to Israel without Israel having have to do a damn thing.

Guess what there are a few people in this country who don't want to be Israels war proxy, who don't want to lose their lives or their childrens lives or spend hundreds of billions of dollars to do so. Guess what, despite your best efforts at propaganda there are a number of people who know that Israel is a racist apartheid and in name theocratic state that has oppressed and terrorized the Palestinians for over a half a century.

Maybe this will help you understand why we feel a little distressed at being manipulated by lies into an illegal and immoral war by some zionist intellectuals who have managed to wrest control of our government through three fraudulent national elections and a massive propaganda and disinformation campaign by our Zion friendly corporate owned Goebbels machine called the media.

I personally believe that the people who perpetrated this war and benefited financially from it are traitors, murderers and working to make this nation less secure, less democratic, and less free. They have stolen hundreds of billions dollars from the treasury and have turned us into a rogue nation of terrorists and torturers.

Hey Red, #88...

Yeah, but you conveniently forget that we, the good ol' US of A GAVE ALL THE GAS and other assorted deadly goodies to Sadaam and turned a blind eye when he killed all his people. Good ol' Donny Rummy was best buddies with S.H. for quite a long time.

Our government has just as much blood on its hands for supporting S.H. and giving him everything he needed to wipe out his opponents.

Remember, we were anti-Iran at the time. Ever hear the saying "The enemy of my enemy is my friend..."?

We made the monster. Wake up.

Post #88 is Pure Unadulterated Bullshit. Just where do you think Saddam Hussien GOT those Chem and Bio weapons? Do the names George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan ring a bell?

These were the very same weapons he used against the Iranians AND the Kurds and nothing was done to stop him.

It is funny how cokehead 'duh-bya' used the very same WMDs his 'Poppy' and 'Ronny Raygun', with the assistance of Ronald Dumsfeld (yes, there is a photo of Dumsfeld shaking hands with 'the villian' Saddam Hussein readily available on the internet)to invade Iraq.

Saddam only fell out of favor after he nationalized the Iraqi Oil Industry and the capper was when Iraq was going to base their economy on the euro instead of the dollar.

Its the OIL, stupid...

Why has Cindy's vigil turned into a character assassignation plot? Leave the poor woman alone and stop trying to besmirch her.

What is so hard for those drinking the Kool-Aid to understand here?

The overwhelming majority of us who are left-leaning or progressive SUPPORT the troops. Our anger and frustration is not directed at them.

They are doing the most difficult job in the world. Many of the young men and women on the ground over there are stuck in this hell, a hell created by the Bush administration. We know the premise for going into Iraq is false. We know that Iraq was not connected to 911. The troops deserve our SUPPORT, it's the GD administration that we are against.

I support our troops. I don't support the SOB who sent them there.

How can a group of neo-cons who never served in armed combat carry out this war. The "Commander-in-Chief" can't even run a business without running it into the ground. Regretably that's just where this nation will be as a result of his *cough* leadership.

And WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, aren't the REAL numbers of dead American soliders being reported and talked about? I suppose if you die from injuries sustained in battle but don't do it on the ground in Iraq, your death doesn't really count? The message to our soldiers is really this: If you are going to die and for your death to "count" so people back home get upset about it, you had damn well better do it before the wheels of the military transport plan lift off the ground at Bagdhad Airport wisking your body back to a hospital in Germany, else it was all for naught.
