The lack of preparation and effective action are truly astonishing. Forget about FEMA, what about homeland security? This disaster shows us what we need to know about a large scale terrorist attack in Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, you are on your own. I only hope that the Republicans are not in charge when this tragic scenario reaches our shores.

  2. H. victims says:

If they were only as tenacious at disaster relief as they are with the tax breaks for the rich.
Hold Michael “Rasputin” Chertoff and daddy W responsible. This is an F’n mess.

  3. KRJ says:

Bush has never been held accountable for anything he’s done. We’re going to be paying for his f?@#-ups for years to come.

  4. sheezus says:

Looks like Homeland Security is geared more toward keeping the people down and under control than helping and supporting in disaster situations.

This emphasis on looting, shooting and random violence coverage on MSM is complete bullsh*t. It will indirectly cause more deaths and suffering with the added hesitation in assisting victims.

  5. Spudge-Boy says:

I love the fact that the NeoCons are constantly blaming everything on Clinton, but when it is time to lead the country, they give him a call.

  6. KRJ says:

I’m hoping the revolution is being televised.

  7. David says:

What is this ‘President’ waiting for? Why haven’t all available resources been called upon to help this city? This city is dying, and not enough is being done.

I believe this ‘President’ is racist. The images I see are of poor minorities left behind in New Orleans. This is despicable and shameful.

  8. Clyde the Ripper says:

Bushco has found a way to eliminate another threat to the Repubs. If they leave those oil stained, sun-tanned “rich white people” wannabees there long enough they won’t have to worry about them again. Besides, who cares, they don’t drive cars so they won’t by Daddy’s gas at $6.00/gallon. Those same SWAT officers driving by the convention center are the same cops that held off those same refugees at gun point while the SWAT family members were boarding busses to be driven to safety. What happened to first come, first served, or women and children first? Not now! Now it is the Bushco “Golden Rule: He who has the gold rules.”

  9. wisedup says:

OK men, forget thoes stranded folks, SHOOT thoes looters! The nerve of them wanting food at a time like this!…”Let them drink the water all around them!”
“Karl..spin something on Clinton, RIGHT NOW!”
    “Yes your lordship….bow…bow…”

  10. Fred says:

G.W. says, “Help is on the way Titanic passengers!”

  11. Dizzy says:

Once again MSM is sanitizing the situation for our protection. No floating bodies etc. The situation is believed to be much worse than we are being shown on MSM TV.
    *******
I heard a field reporter on MSNBC referred to as being “embedded” with the N.Guard.
    *******
M.Chertoff said a few minutes ago that we were perfectly prepared for this disaster…..??????

  12. KRJ says:

Bush is going to hold a news conferance with his Daddy & Clinton. Let’s hope reporters ask him why there aren’t enough buses to evacuate the people & how those poor people in wheelchairs & the children suppose to march out of the city?

  13. Marie says:

#6 Spudgeboy — How right you are!

  14. Susan says:

#6, Yeah , I noticed too that Clinton again had to come to the rescue. That is soooooo funny.
