From many years of personal experience beginning in 1956 I have found the American Red Cross to be as bad as the Bushcos. They are crooks with reportedly less than 10% of the donations they collect actually going to relief and over 50% going to administrator’s salaries. Case in point–they have collected over $20 million in donations and have not provided one bottle of water nor one sandwich to the people at the Convention Center in New Orleans.
Remember what the Red Cross did with the donations from 9/11? Whatever they wanted. Why, because people didn’t specify “This donation is for the WTC relief” The head of the Red Cross actually came on TV and said “It is up to us where the money goes if people don’t tell us.”
Do a little research and donate wisely. These people need our help, but they need our help going to them.
I first hand know the Red Cross is bad, and many others, so I’ll let the nations BILLIONARES donate for me. Bill Gates,Dick Cheney, the Bush family, Ken Lay, and on and on and on. Save your money folks as you will need it in the days ahead.
I do and will continue to support the impeachment and Cindy Sheehan movements.
Please Cindy, pick up as many refugees as you can while on your road trip. They have no homes or jobs to go to and we know American citizens will help as long as we know that your “noble cause” is distributing our funds.
I don’t know if it matters (it does to me) but one of those charitys, Operation Blessing International, is run by Pat Robertson. He and his wife and I think his mother are on the board and decide how the money is distributed.
I will discuss with wife. We barely get by.
September 1st, 2005 at 6:30 pmNo worries Brian, I’m going to give an extra $100 tonight for the both of us.

September 1st, 2005 at 6:54 pmHere’s another good charity that FEMA is funneling Katrina funds to: Pat Robertson and his “Operation Blessing.” You can check it out at http://www.Sploid.com and at http://www.Atrios.blogspot.com.
Don’t you just love those “faithbased inititives” Bush likes to crow about?

September 1st, 2005 at 8:17 pmSorry, I’m leaving this one up to the wealthy and the Bushie supporters.
My suggestion for the refugees is to go to Crawford and join the Gold Star moms. They will take good care of them.
The front of the White House is another good place to camp.
