  1. leroy says:

Congrats Sen. Frist. Welcome to reality.

  2. Steven Souter says:

Good. He can just bring it up after Roberts is confirmed Chief Justice of the United States.

  3. Sharon Cox says:

I don’t like Frist politicly, but give the guy a big Thank you sir for helping our people down south. Saw a quick clip on one station, he was helping the sick. What a blessing to have one good doctor going down to help. Again Thank you Sir. Guess he won’t read this but going to put it out there any way. Good stuff promotes more of the same…Blessings.

  4. Navy Vet says:

He cancelled for PR and photo op down south. Running around with a stethascope around his neck like he was looking for live ones. The only way he could tell the difference. Who does he think he is fooling.

  5. Marie says:

Postponement of the estate tax vote is not something he should be praised for — it would have been unseemly to call that vote at this time — actually any time — but particularly now.
I am not giving any one of this crowd any credit for anything. Period.

  6. Marie says:

Frist is gathering photographs to be used in bids when he runs for president.

  7. Marie says:

I am surprised he couldn’t take care of them via videotape.

  8. Steven Souter says:

Frist is dead politically anyway. Republicans will nominate sa stronger leader like Rudy or George Allen.

Democrats, on the other hand, need to nominate people who are not going to cry in front of the camera for shamlesss political points. I can’t get over Mary Landrieu’s tin ear – she is a sure loser, especially since the base that helps her get elected will now be relocated.

  9. Marie says:

George Allen is not qualified. He is a smirking, greasy politician who was elected on his father’s name. Hey! That sounds familiar — it happened once, it won’t happen again.

  10. P O'Neill says:

He used his medical expertise to declare that the estate tax vote was’t even in a PVS, it was flat-out dead.

  11. cynical ex-hippie says:

The bad news: He postponed so Congress can review video of PVS victims.

  12. cmw says:

Frist is trying to determine from videotape if those floating bodies in NO are really dead or just taking a rest while swimming

  13. cmw says:

    Rudy Guiliani
    Now there’s a fine fellow

Has his girlfriend living in the Mayor’s mansion along with his wife and children.

  14. Steven Souter says:

#14 – that’s his personal life. It would be shameless to exploit – almost like Republicans attacking Clinton for having an affair while in the Oval office.

  15. Hank says:

Dr. Fristentien is at it again. Would’t it be nice if he stuck to something he has some knowledge about: like bringing a braindead woman back to life.

  16. Tim O says:

Poor planning prevented the Frist Cam from being implemented so he could remotely diagnose the thousands of victims.

As far as the Estate Tax, I did see him with his finger in the air to see which way the wind was blowing. He didn’t want to give up too early, in case Rove was able to place more blame on democrats than Republicans. Then the “Daddy Party” could come in and save the day.

You know the citizens of NOLA should be taxed when they pass their mud patch to their children when they die!

  17. Ron says:

Statists always tax the peasants to death. High taxes on everybody means that people like Clinton and Bush can live high on the hog and never have to do a thing.

They deserve it. Write them a check and send it in to them.

Forget about the poor in New Orleans. Write a check to the Red Cross. They are need it more.

Those faux mansions in New Orleans will be rebuilt. They are such beautiful places. Also, they’re as obscene as they can get.

  18. Pablo in Mexico says:

    SUSAN

The Frist trip down south was a 6 hour photo-op and nothing more. The man is phony from the top of his head to the bottom of his shoes.

He and his family own HCA (Hospital Corp. of America) which the feds have been investiigating for years. The firm obtains hospitals throughout the country, drive them into the ground, heavily involved in medicaid fraud, overcharge, cut nursing staffs and wages, and funnel all the money to a front relative in Florida. The front member is a family member and they all then divvy up the millions.

Frist is one of the biggest crooks and frauds in Washington.

  19. Anne says:

Oh Frist, don’t you and Bush just beat it all? You with you stethascope, and him with in his flight jacket. Looks like navy vet nailed it again.

  20. Marie says:

Pablo has his facts straight. Years ago, in the medical field, I had a chance to view the HCA first hand. They are corrupt, profit driven, and preying on the sick. This is Frist’s genetic code. Do not believe his photo op — it’s all done for “political capital.”

  21. Sharon Cox says:

Sorry everyone. You were all right on and I was wrong. Guess I keep hoping there are good people on all sides, not so here. The repugs never cease to amaze me at their heartless use of us all for their benefit. I am learning so much from all of you, every day. No kidding, Thank you and forgive my rambling…Blessings..P.S. Thanks also for the web site information, I check them all out. Sorry again.

  22. Marie says:

One never needs to apologize for honest errors, Sharon. We all learn from one another here. It is distressing to learn that people we may have trusted are as slimy as the company they keep.
What is pathetic are the ones who can’t open their eyes and see the false images they worship in this administration.
    Glad you’re on this blog.

  23. Sharon Cox says:

Thank’s Marie, can you give me the info on where I can view the
movie you spoke of on a diffrent post. My head is so full of all this info and where what is going on having hard time organizing stuff today. To all interested got info on the Cindy site and our up coming march later in the month….Blessings

  24. Marie says:

Unconstitutional — try Blockbuster. One-hour documentary. I have Netflix. It was shown on Sundance several times in August.

  25. Sharon Cox says:

Thank You again! will get it. Please forgive me, I have a dreadful cable T.V and dial up service for my iMac, the poor thing keeps crashing because I have been over loading I guess, what is Sundance.? I’m not complaining realy..My tiny inconviences are nothing. Not compared to what’s going on in our world. I can hardley comprehend all this tragedy and suffering. And to think I use to be shocked and saddened with what I saw on B&W of our loss of Kennedy, Viet Nam, Aushwitz(sp) 9/11 and left out many up to Iraq and now the south. In my reality I kept thinking our society had overcome and become enlightened and educated to the point none of this would happen again, and again. The Clinton years were the best ever for me and I thought everywhere. Guess with that being the best, this is the worst. My point’s of refrence are changing. ..Thank’s again….Blessings..

  26. Pablo in Mexico says:

Susan there was no need for any sort of an apology on your part.

I know what I know because in 1998 I was hired to do a complete background investigation on HCA and the Frist family. I filled 10 legal boxes of damaging material about the firm and its members. Frist is still on the board of directors, as far as I know, and still getting his millions per year.

The purpose of the investigation was a concerted effort to try and stop the firm from taking over two hospital in central California.

I was a private investigator for over 40 years. In 1996 I was hired by a large firm in SF to do a complete background on GWB, but I cant talk about it because I signed tons of non-discloure material. I know more about GWB than his mother does.

  27. Sharon Cox says:

Gee Pablo, hope I live long enough to see all this mess unravel and end up in print for every one to read. Wonder if all the extreme right will believe it then ?..Thank’s for the info. At least our guy’s only lied about private affairs, litrely and thousands didn’t die when they screwed around. This bunch is like the Reich, cutting, drilling and killing everything in sight…Blessings
