Sharon, you ignorant slut....

Of course we're getting paid. Just like you're getting paid by your dumbass employer to post idiotic irrelevancies on this communist run propaganda outlet when you're supposed to be working.

Here's something fun I found today. You know it's like you Donk losers don't hear what it is you're saying. Please, keep up the good work. We could not rule the entire earth without your help. Really.......

Turns out, Nagin turned his nose up at the yellow buses, demanding more comfortable Greyhound coaches instead.

"I need 500 buses, man," he told WWL. "One of the briefings we had they were talking about getting, you know, public school bus drivers to come down here and bus people out of here."

Nagin described his response:

"I'm like - you've got to be kidding me. This is a natural disaster. Get every doggone Greyhound bus line in the country and get their asses moving to New Orleans."

While Nagin was waiting for his Greyhound fleet, Katrina's floodwaters swamped his school buses, rendering them unusable. --

"Thank you God for making my enemies such fools".

# 249 - Thank you, Progressive & Proud, for saying something "new and refreshing" everytime you contribute. Those wacky trolls and right wingers are sure the only ones who get out of hand from time to time - except left wing crap like BJ Lovell who suggested in #5 that President Bush do the world a favour and "off himself". Nothing radical about that!

To Dell,
This is not a "Left or "Right" situation, this is a "Right" and "Wrong" situation...Sure the local and state people have to answer up for the mistakes they made, so should the Federal Government Yes, there are possibility up to 10,000 DEAD in New Orleans alone, and caring for the living is first priority in all the states hit, MS. and AL. also. I don't care if they have Republican governors or LA. has a Democractic one, WHO CARES! If Bush could get off his lazy ass when Terry Schavio's feeding tube was being removed (and I feel sorry for Terry, she was being used for political reasons) and rush to Washington to sign a bill to force the state of Florida (where I live? to re-insert the tube, is that any of the feds' business? And this was for ONE PERSON! Supposaly, this was a "State issue", but in your logic, it's okay to interfere in "State issues", only when it's convienient for your cause, otherwise the states can piss up a rope, and be left dangling in a disaster, when it's not your cause, is that right..? My point is this, couldn't Bush he have left his own "Neverland Ranch" sooner to oversee the disaster that was happening two days into it? I guess one life of a brain damaged white girl was more important then 10,000 mostly black and poor people, is that right?

Since you want to bring up planning by local and state officals, and how they screwed up, what about the "brillant"planning by the Feds for this disasterous war in Iraq? Mostly everything these "brillant planners" have done, has been a cluster-fuck! I hate this war, and don't tell me I'm not patriotic, i'm a veteran, and support the troops, not this crazy imperial war for oil! There's an old joke that goes like this: A nervous bank robber walks nervously into a bank, and in a high pitched voice, yells. "all right, you mother stickers! This is a fuck up!" That's how I feel about the whole Iraq disaster. I guess these "brillant planners" did a great job doing their "homework" for pre=emptive war also, is that right?

It ceases to amaze me how the left in this country hate the administration so much that they check their IQ at the door and lose sight of the discussion at hand. Firstly, there would be no need for damange control if the left didn't start pointing the finger. Before the bodies began to float away, Pelosi and company became more concerned with blame than helping people. If all of you poor mis-guided folks feel its the Federal Govt's job to be your first respondent in your community during a disaster, then Lord help you and your families if you should ever need it. Are you saying your expectation is that the Federal govt is more efficient at running a disaster recovery plans in EVERY community in the country? In this particular case, you need to check your facts and you will see that the states own test conducted 13 months ago showed the exact problems we see today, which was the poor could not get out and that the State should organize bus caravans for them to get them out - NOT THE FEDS. Legally the feds can't just show up and start a plan without the Governor's approval (And it just so happens the Democaratic governor did nothing until it was too late). You just don't seem to get the fact that the Federal Govt doesn't run too many things well, regardless of the administration at the helm, and you are mis-guided if you think the answer is to throw more money at the Federal level vs. bolstering your local and state communities ability to help you should you ever need it. Lord help all of you who prefer politics over common sense - your doing yourselves a dis-service in the long run.

If you see today's news, you see Congress "it" Turd Defly, (R) SugarLand TX, "majority leader" U.S. House of Rep. taking the lead on the "blame game" that local and state authorities sholder most of the responsibility of the failures in disaster relief. It doesn't suprise me one bit that the sewer rat, Karl Rove, with his beady eyes, and twitching nose, didn't smell a creature lowere then he was. That he would pass the baton of "blame game" to the lowest of the low in the whole federal government sholdn't come as a shock. It's just a natural course of action for this bunch.

Turd Defly (R) SugarLand TX. is a draft-dodging tiny little coward. It is a pesky little fly that eats shit, and bothers people. If it wanted to do something constructive, it would go to New Orleans, and eat all of the solid human waste it could, maybe that would help with preventing disease. It would help if this foul filthy creature would QUIT BOTHERING PEOPLE. Otherwise, it should keep it's mouth-parts shut, and buzz itself out of the way, so PEOPLE could get things done!

So I guess you are going to load up sick/diabetic/veryold/handicapped people on school buses that hold about 20 kids with no air conditioning or toilets on rides up the interstates without destination for hours or days just before a category 5 hurricane . Nevermind that people even now will not evacutate New Orleans.

Yea sure blame the mayor what a bunch of crap.

This storm also affected 4 states.

Federal government is where most of the blame should go.

Sharon, the more often they are here the better. They are truly scared and showing their true colors. So seeing them on our side is a sign. The trolls come here because they need attention deperately. Most have parental issues and feel the "need to be punished." I think it's pretty ironic actually. I usually just skip anything the trolls write because it is just so whacky and usually not thought provoking.

They only have about 7 talking points that they use devotedly for any retort. It is obvious most are not Mensa material and pretty much hate themselves, thus the need for punishment. It's kind of like "suicide by police." They don't believe half of what they say, they just want to be like the big men making more money than them (they are usually underlings to some corporate whore).

The "regulars" that come here and say the same thing over and over are really pathetic. I have chosen not to address them directly as they are masochistic and like it. Now we see why anyone would vote for such a low IQ drunk driver - masochism. It is the only logical answer. I have no concept of how their thought patterns have deviated from normal brain function. I suppose it all stems from childhood. Too bad that we don't have more (any) people like Thurgood Marshall leading us; or a Martin Luther King who thinks of all of the US (world even) as a whole entity. Not like the aristocracy that runs this sinking ship of ours. I say MUTINY!!! These scumbags will pay in history - the truth will out, I promise.

No doubt some of them are operatives - but their plan is to distract us from legitimate posts, and get us off track. That is a source of amusement to them because then they have controlled our blog.

Think I remember media pays by the word. Think Barry and some others may be getting a big check from their party this month. To bad stupidety isn't painful, huh. Know I can't spell or write well, please forgive.Wish they would go and preach to their own choir and let the rest of us get on with working for our people and change..

From Josh Marshall's Blog: (I suggest that if anyone here is posting "facts" that they also post their source):

One way or another, let's get this straightened out once and for all.

As we've discussed over the course of the day, the Washington Post ran an article
Advertisement

today in which they reported, on the say-so of an unidentified "senior Bush official", that as late as yesterday Louisiana Gov. Blanco still hadn't gotten around to declaring a state of emergency. This, allegedly, had prevented a more rapid federal response.

Only this claim seemed to be belied by a copious public record, not least of which was the actual declaration of a state of emergency dated August 26th, 2005, available on the state of Louisiana website.

The falsity of what the "senior Bush official" told the Post apparently turned out to be so patently obvious that before the day was out the Post issued a correction, noting Blanco's declaration on the 26th.

Yet the new issue of Newsweek says this of Blanco, as of September 1st, almost a week later ...

Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco seemed uncertain and sluggish, hesitant to declare martial law or a state of emergency, which would have opened the door to more Pentagon help.
Now, all the rights and wrongs of this tragic debacle will turn on weightier facts than the day on which Blanco issued this declaration. But this claim, which appeared in two major national publications, seems to be patently false. In both the Post and Newsweek the anecdote appears as an illustration of Blanco's dawdling which prevented a more rapid federal response.

The Post got played by a senior administration official. Pretty odd that Newsweek would come up with the same false anecdote on their own, right?

Who's Newsweek's source?

From Editor & Publisher:
NEW YORK In its Sunday edition, the Washington Post quoted a "senior Bush official" who said that "as of Saturday [Louisiana Governor] Blanco still had not declared a state of emergency." This, of course, was meant to make the governor look foolish and spread the blame around for the disastrous response to the disaster, though it was hard to imagine on what grounds the newspaper would quote an unnamed source in this case.

Several hours of blogosphere howling ensued. Later in the day, the Post ran this correction, or rather, 180-degree turn:

"A Sept. 4 article on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina incorrectly said that Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco (D) had not declared a state of emergency. She declared an emergency on Aug. 26."

After days of blaming the federal officials for not responding quickly enough to the Hurricane Katrina crisis, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin praised President Bush on Monday - and charged that Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco had delayed federal rescue efforts by 24-hours.

"I'm so happy that the president came down here," Nagin said of Bush's Friday visit to Louisiana in an interview with CNN. "He came down and saw it, and he put a general on the field. His name is General Honore. And when he hit the field, we started to see action."

But Nagin had harsh words for his state's leaders, telling CNN: "What the state was doing, I don't frigging know. But I tell you, I am pissed. It wasn't adequate."
The New Orleans Democrat said he urged Bush to meet privately with Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco during the visit. The meeting took place aboard Air Force One, he said.

After reviewing the crisis with Gov. Blanco, Bush summoned Nagin for a private chat - where, according to Nagin, Bush explained: "Mr. Mayor, I offered two options to the governor. I said . . . I was ready to move today. The governor said she needed 24 hours to make a decision."

Reacting to the governor's footdragging, Nagin lamented: "It would have been great if we could of left Air Force One, walked outside, and told the world that we had this all worked out."

"It didn't happen, and more people died."

The vultures of the venomous left are attacking on two fronts, first that the president didn’t do what the incompetent mayor of New Orleans and the pouty governor of Louisiana should have done, and didn’t, in the early hours after Katrina loosed the deluge on the city that care and good judgment forgot. Ray Nagin, the mayor, ordered a “mandatory” evacuation a day late, but kept the city’s 2,000 school buses parked and locked in neat rows when there was still time to take the refugees to higher ground. The bright-yellow buses sit ruined now in four feet of dirty water. Then the governor, Kathleen Blanco, resisted early pleas to declare martial law, and her dithering opened the way for looters, rapists and killers to make New Orleans an unholy hell. Gov. Haley Barbour did not hesitate in neighboring Mississippi, and looters, rapists and killers have not turned the streets of Gulfport and Biloxi into killing fields.
