“JUST FOUR DAYS before the 2004 presidential election, a prestigious British medical journal published the results of a rigorous study by Dr. Les Roberts, a widely respected researcher. Roberts concluded that close to 100,000 people had died in the invasion and occupation of Iraq. Most were noncombatant civilians. Many were children…”
But even this 10 missed stories story has missed one: the Downing Street Minutes.

September 7th, 2005 at 4:03 pmHow can anyone from the left think that the mainstream media is asleep? Think Rathergate, think endless Cindy Sheehan coverage, think endless Rovegate. I could go on. Is the problem that the media just isn’t getting their agenda accomplished like they used to? By now, I would have thought Bush would be rotting in some prison cell somewhere with the way the media has been treating him. Get real, the media is not asleep, the left with their tired agenda is.

One would think that ReichWingNut approved/demanded/fomented removal of MSM talking news heads would awaken people to the fact that the MSM is no longer free to report the news as it happens. Only the news that’s approved by the WhiteHouse and all their silly-grinned spin monkeys gets airplay. It’s a little thing called media control. aka: Propaganda. And didn’t the US have a wee problem with that kind of news when the Germans were controlling their media during the ’30’s and ’40’s?

Do you actually watch the new on tv or read any newspapers? Tell me? Most broadcasts make me sick with how they continue to bash Bush at every chance. The left is so power hungry that they are willing to do or say anything to get it back. I think this is a good test for them. They should see how it feels after the they have dominated the political landscape for the last forty years. I just hope our reign should last just as long.

I have think the MSM should be talking more about how hateful liberals have become and how they are likely to be in the minority for many years to come. Polarization aside, liberals have destroyed themselves and everything they beleive by acting like such buffoons for the past five years.

But correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it a constant barrage of investigations into Clinton for his two terms, with more than eight formal investigations on Whitewater, Travelgate, suisidegate, this gate and that gate? In the end of a 40 million dollar investigation, they had to settle for “cigargate” in bringing him down? But I’m on your side, sucks, so be offended here. Lucky for me and you, at least Bush has a Republican house, senate and supreme court to protect him no matter how incompetent he is.

My handle expresses the way I feel about liberals. I could use kill liberals, but I do not condone violence unlike some of the other handles I’ve seen used. I thought that liberals were the ones with open minds, yet you would want me to change my handle because it may convey homosexuality. I am not gay, but why would that be a problem anyway? Now I am confused.
September 7th, 2005 at 9:17 pm#24 – I believe the consensus after the second debate was that Bush won it, so Kerry only won two out of the three debates. But I ask, who cares. It was the message that was being delivered that was the importance of the debates. Everyone knows that Kerry was the better debator between the two candidates, I’ll at least give him that. But his message and his proposals on where to take the country never hit home with many of the undecided voters and that is what cost him the election. As for the device, again, who cares? In this day and age of computer animation, they could have had Shrek debating Bush and it would have looked just as real. Anyway, you all should stop posting here and spend some quality time with your families or leave work or find something more productive to do with your time. Good night!

Bush is the 1st U.S.President to fly and land a S-3B Viking JET aboard the carrier U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln on May 1st 2003 he spoke to the world from the carrier deck to mark the end of military actions to remove Saddam Hussein and free the Iraqi people. What a bunch of crap, the man couldn’t land a jet on a carrier if his life depended on it. He didn’t even complete his Air National Guard training. I call him photo op George like my bumpper sticker reads. Any one of you wingnuts out there who wants buy a Giclee 100 29.5″x 38″ for $650.00 dollars. If you could get to sign it would and hierloom down the road. The man didn’t know how to start a war, he didn’t know how fight the war and he doesn’t know how to end it. You can’t just say the military action over, you have to have a truss or armastice of some sort. Now we have lost 1500 good men and wemon since he made that statement yet the wingnuts thinks he’s greatest thing since slice bread and I do to but only sliced bread. I Think he doing one negative HECK of a job.

As for the message, what message did Bush have? More meaningless phrases, no agenda, no concrete plan. The debates might have had more influence on the election if Bush supporters had actually watched them. I know at least one Bush voter who refused to read or listen to anything against him, lest her mind be opened.

But in the meantime, didn’t you notice the “controversy” in the media over John Kerry’s combat record? How about the WMDs in Iraq? According to the leftist New York Times, they were a sure thing. Wierd how “Rathergate” was all about a forged document the actual contents of which Bush never denied, and how the media dropped that national guard service story quicker than you can say “19th president to serve in the National Guard.” How about those government-generated media “stories” republished without any disclaimer by so many media outlets? I don’t remember Clinton getting away with that kind of thing. In fact, I don’t remember Clinton getting away with anything in the press. Where was his Fox News?
Well at least we had someone calling Clinton on his shit. We sure don’t have that now in the MSM with Bush. I don’t care who the president is. Whenever the media rolls over to power, it is a dangerous thing for our democracy. You should be glad somebody’s playing devil’s advocate.

They are a fantastic organization that puts out an annual yearbook of underreported stories, alternative media resources, top junk news stories of the year, essays by people like Walter Kronkite, Greg Palast, Robert McChesney… fantastic stuff. The SFBG just runs a story about Project Censroed each year.
