I'm hearing reports of people giving up being able to get out of town for this one too...sad... I could say that the people who will be shot over gasoline for evacuation should have known better than to live in a trigger happy state, but I won't. After all, they said that those silly starving Ethiopians that everybody cried over and sent aid to should have known better than to live someplace where it was hard to grow food, right? Fu*k them for living there, huh? Instead, I choose to be concerned for the people who live in the state that I loved growing up in. The state where I was born... The state that has surpassed California for having the most polluted city in the US thanks to a certain governor who just saw it as someplace where he didn't have to pay state taxes. I believe that nature has indicated that it will be the major threat to this country's national security. I just hope for the sake of innocent people that this administration behaves in the way that we should expect our leaders to act. It is just unconscionable how this administration and its corporate buddies are licking their loins at the money to be made in rebuilding the southern states. Haliburton (Mr. Cheney) can’t wait until it is given the go ahead to provide so called rebuilding services. If Iraq is any indication of how well they will do we are once again in for a snow job. This president’s major concern is providing corporate welfare to his cronies and major contributors. When will the American people wake up before it is to late.
