No surprise there, i.e., no accountability.
Never is, never will be with these guys.
Can they keep Judy in jail anyway…..please?

  3. The Sheeple says:

Plame leak? Oh, yeah. I was so wrapped up in Katrina I forgot about that. By the way, are we still at war?

  4. afterthought says:

Yeah, but we are at war with Eurasia now
    and always have been.

  5. cynical ex-hippie says:

Finally! Scott McClellan will be able to comment on something!

  6. afterthought says:

No he won’t. It will be time to put
the past behind us and look forward
    to the next disaster.

  7. Mary Poppin says:

Karl Rove and Cheney need to be fired. They need to be held accountable for their actions.

  8. afterthought says:

Yes Mary, but that would have to be in
the “reality based” world…. we don’t
    live there anymore.

  9. Hank says:

Not going to happen, Mary. There is no accountability in this administration. Besides, if Bush fired Rove and Cheney, who would run the government?

  10. Marie says:

#4 Appropos 1984 reference. What will the admin. do if the news is not in their favor?
Realistically, bargaining/maneuvering/negotiation will probably be the winner.
As much as I want it, I fear that the end of this treasonous affair is not going to make many of us happy.
Expect the Bushies to invent an innovative way – ala 1984 – to ease their discomfort.

  11. Marie says:

Do you think we could stage a “coup?”

  12. afterthought says:

Don’t know. Did not work out so great
    for Winston.

Her name was Julia, NOT Camel! ;^)

  15. Styve says:

I bet Patrick Fitzgerald will surprise you all!! This playing down of the investigation is a GOP preemptive effort to diffuse the s**t that will go down.

There will be a coup, one way or the other…coup d’etat, or coup de grace!!

POOR ROVE CANT COMMENT INVESTIGATION GOING ON

  17. Susan says:

I have confidence that the grand jury will hand down indictments.

The dirty word republican is going to be obsolete very soon.

  18. Susan says:

#10 Hank, when we take Bushie and Cheney out of office we will have an interim government until an election can be held.

It worked in Iraq and it will work here. Dont continue to give the neocons an out. We will prevail.

  19. Rotwang says:

Uh, this is no time to play the “blame game.” The economy’s in high gear. Iraq is about to ratify a new constitution. Bolton is calling the UN to account. Osama’s on the run. And New Orleans is on its way to a brave, new future.

Oh, and Clinton got a blow-job, and Hillary worships Beelzebub.

    Did I miss anything?

  20. Phil S says:

What’s with “negotiations”??? Doesn’t sound good.

  21. Ryan Neat says:

All of this talk of coups makes me want to remind everyone that if we don’t have electronic voting machines this isn’t an issue either in the midterm elections or the next presidential elections. This is the time for democratic representatives to FORCE the issue of voting machine rigging. Fix that, and most of the other issues will fix themselves in a few years.

  22. Jesus Christ God of War says:

Ah, great! All the good s**t will come down while I’m away on business. In South Asia.

Well, I’ll have to continue to read the BBC and Times of India to get the straight poop. Here’s to hoping/wishing/praying that the Repugs are exposed for the bastards we know they.

See y’all in a couple weeks.

  23. Ryan Neat says:

Jesus, you’re going back to india! I have a book that talks about your first time there ;) Too bad these right wing guys didn’t get that you were a pascifist hippie that preferred to die the death of a pascifist rather than go to war. Even when his people were a conquered and oppressed people… Those lessons would help christians a lot if they were actually ‘christian enough’ to hear them. Unfortunately they are the romans now, they just ‘call’ themselves christians…

  24. Zwack says:

Ryan, have you heard any of the really wild conspiracy theories, usually pushed by right wing “christians” claiming that a UN one world government is going to persecute them and cause Armageddon.

Some of their websites include comments about the massive UN/Chinese army massing just over the border in Mexico, ready to move in and take over.

Try http://www.greaterthings.com/ in particular http://www.greaterthings.com/News/UN_vehicles.htm for some insight…

    Z.

  25. Hank says:

Susan #19: what I ment was that without Rove and Cheney to do Junior’s job, he would be totally paralized—unable to even ride his bike with the training wheels.

  26. Pablo in Mexico says:

I doubt very much if the grand jury indicts anyone. You see the jury is from a district that is all pukes. Not a dem or liberal in sight. This is done on purpose so that anyone the government puts in front of the jury is guilty when he walks in the door, EXCEPT FOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS.

No, no grand jury indictment, however, Fitz has another way to go, if he chooses to do so. He can bring charges against whomever in the federal court.

  27. Sara says:

Have a nice trip Jesus! We will all be interested in seeing how it pans out. We may be surprised and actually get some truth for a change.
Granted the news has been exciting lately, so no wonder it’s not on the front page…
Troops massing in Mexico? Besides the ones who already came over the border (unarmed) to help with Katrina? Muchas gracias by the way, too bad our own government couldn’t work as quickly.
Hey, Pablo – Are you in DF? We go there a lot to visit la familia de mi espozo.

  28. Pablo in Mexico says:

    SARA

No, in Guadalajara. Been here since June 1999. Most of my wifes relatives live in DF though.
