OK, they’ve indicted DeLay’s homies, now it’s time to take down the hammer. Let’s see how good he walks the walk to a prayer meeting in a prison jumpsuit (a la Chuck Coleson’s comments last week).

Would a Texas jury convict DeLay? What do the Texan’s on board say?

  2. Jeff says:

    Next step: convictions!

  3. Citizen80203 says:

Perhaps it is time the Republican Federal Government is shut down. This one party government has been a disaster for America. The republican mismanagement at all levels has resulted in failure and mind numbing incompetence. It may be time for the Congressional Democratic Caucus to procedurally shut it down, funding only the most essential aspects, to keep America safe from future colossal failures. This drastic measure is needed to stop the hemorrhaging, an emergency operation to preserve the very life of America. Since we cannot, nor will not, change the Constitution to hold immediate elections, it is best to take away the tools the republicans use to strike America. May God truly bless America until the republican one party rule is over.

I hope they go after Harry Reid next!

  7. Marie says:

Baby steps – but steps nonetheless.

  8. Mary Poppin says:

Tom Delay is the second biggest crook. Bushies is the first and will be impeached before 2008 along with his cronie friends.

    oh were it only possible!
Someone must step forward with a plan to save America from these thugs — what they don’t deliberately destroy with their policies, they destroy with their neglect.

  10. Citizen80203 says:

You are correct Marie, pure wishful thinking on my part. Only wish we had a true leader on our side to step up. Although, Pelosi has been commendable.

  11. progressive and proud says:

Tick, tick, tick BOOM! Time will out these bastards and good riddance.

  12. Jeff says:

MSM needs to continue investigating Delay’s PACs, Plamegate, and the failures of gov’t in NOLA. Stay the course, if the Emporer does have clothes, there fraying.

Just exactly how is Bush going to be impeached when the Republicans controll both houses of congress? I keep saying that your anger over the 2000 election has got you what so far?

  14. progressive and proud says:

The trolls are turning into simpleton monkeys as of late. Anyway, repubs will do a 360 likity split if they think it will garner them votes; they will do or say anything. I will never underestimate the new flip flop red party.

  15. Common Sense says:

    #14
Wait a minute, I thought the Republicans were the party in control? The way the districts are drawn, there doesn’t seem to be much chance that many will face hard battles so why the flip-flop? I do not seriously believe that any, anyone outside of McCain would actually consider it and certainly not enough to impeach. But if you want to consider these pipe dreams a reality, be my guest.

  16. Stan says:

Tom Delay in not guilty of any crime. Mr. Delay is a dedicated public servant who is and was at the edge of the plateau that saw the end of Democratic party rule in a state that had been long overdue for redistricting.

  17. Gary Kleppe says:

I keep saying that your anger over the 2000 election has got you what so far?

This is one of the difference between your side and ours. We choose what to believe on the basis of reason and evidence, not on the basis of whether it is useful to us.

  18. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

#6 – You’re nearly right. But the name of the person they need to go after next is _Ralph_ Reed. Not Harry. Sorry. You “missed it by that much” …

  19. Pablo in Mexico says:

Nah, they are letting the biggest crook in amerika slide on this one, and he has slud through life, like a hot fart in a skillet.

Roly poly will get his though. He is under 50% approval rating in his own district. Check it out.

Some pukes are so disgusted with bush and his dragging them down that they are just about to turn colors and one of them might just be persuaded to file a Bill of Impeachment.

That would be the final straw for bushie, if a member of his own party filed such a bill.

Stan and thos other guys up above there have their heads up their asses. They dont recall that Bob Barr filed an impeachment resolution against Clinton before the glow of the swearing in ceremony wore off. His reason, Clinton was a DEMOCRAT. Nice going slugs, when are you going to escape puberty and become a man, or, do you all prefer farm animals.

  20. Leatherneck says:

Stan, you and that other dipshit, Common Sense, can get off your knees now. DeLay has zipped up his pants.

  21. Hank says:

Listen to Stan. The only reason that soon-to-be felon Tom DeLay is out shooting his mouth off on what a great job the Administration did is to make sure BushCO. coverers his ass. Stan, DeLay’s butt is in a sling and he knows it; he’s out to curry favor wherever he can get it, Pal.

Evidently you must be from Texas. How come all you rightwing asses saddle the country with guys like DeLay and Bush? Are you all so damned stupid to fall for their line of crap?

  22. progressive and proud says:

The drones are just silly now. Tom Delay is a piece of shit. He wants torte reform, yet had a HUGE lawsuit against a company he claimed hurt his father. He is scandalous. Same with Santorum and his wierdo wife that takes home fetuses for his children to hug – EEWWWW. The people are just sick and wierd.

I do keep wondering how these trolls can be so obviously “taken.” Then, I remember Germany.

  23. afterthought says:

    Yeah P&P,
Maybe it was not perfectly clear before
and the echo chamber could keep people
confused, but now? It must be willful
ignorance, but I know people who are
pretty much the same as the trolls but
otherwise pretty smart so I just shake
    my head and wonder.

  24. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

#22 – ah, yes. And then there was Germany. How had all those people been “taken”? Easy object lesson: Just look at the rabid ReichWingNut Wack-Jobs and you’ll see how it happened to Germany during the 1930’s.

  25. wisedup says:

#22#24 your so right….I’ve talked to some German friends and the people were duped. They all told me it was to late by the time they woke up. This MUST NOT HAPPEN HERE! they all said.

  26. WaltTheMan says:

The Germans were duped by an expanding job market (I lived there for a few years on their economy and know). That is clearly not the problem here!

  27. cynical ex-hippie says:

Texas Republicans like to pretend they didn’t win the governorship by a razor-thin margin. Oh I forgot. 2% margin is a landslide for them.

  28. Ryan Neat says:

    cynical,

Part of the voting machine analysis that I saw recently broke out this and several other races in ‘key’ states that have gone republican in recent years. There’s a direct correlation by county and by precinct where new machines were used and this phenom. seemed to mysteriously occur. Triad and Diebold have stolen the election for republicans on a consistent basis with rigged hardware…

  29. Pablo in Mexico says:

Stan – you love thos Texas politicians., ton you?

    Check out Gov. Perrys website.

He recommends donating to the ONESTAR FOUNDATION for relief to disasteer victims.

If you cruds had a brain you could figure out that this is the govs own creation and that every dollar you contribute to onestar goes into his pocket.

  30. Terrytheturtle says:

#15, Common Sense makes the usual ‘point’: it does not matter whether Bush is caught in the Capitol Steps with his weiner up the back end of a 6-year-old boy, his party will not break ranks and impeach him. In other words the laws of the land mean nothing, having the power means everything. The end justifies the means – nothing else matters.

If he ever tried reading ‘Common Sense’, he might find that the nations founding fathers had something else in mind for their government. But then Common Sense chose his handle in an ironic moment….

  31. Emma says:

Don’t bury all of us that live in TEXAS in the same grave as Stan!!!! There are those of us here, that “get it”, and can see past the line of BS that always comes out of DeLay & Companies mouths.

The only way to get the US back to us, is to get involved. Not with retoric, not with the spatting back and forth, but with really pulling together and acting like American’s should act -with strength and compassion, not by calling names and word fighting. IF YOU give enough ammo, presented appropriately, you’ll GIVE THEM ENOUGH ROPE TO HANG THEMSELVES – all of em

  33. Ryan Neat says:

Well, looks like all of you made up your minds. Typical liberal process. Destroy the person first then let the legal process go forward. Whatever happened to due process?

  36. kurt says:

I wonder will Tom DeLay get married while he is in the joint. Since he is politically married to Rove and Friest, maybe one of them would make his perfect cell-mate, these three have been dancing with each other each on thier relationship, and truly turn “speeecial…” Unlike so many married couples today they will have a talk about on those long only nights in capativety. All thier plots to make Democrats look made, election fraud, how to shake donors, and all those great parties Capiotl Hill parties with the excellent drinks and food paid for the by thier best friends the coporate lobbyists.

Like the song says: “Prison Bitch O Prison Bitch your the one for me I got for a candy bar and a cigarette.

O’h yes I’m the prison bitch, I’m the prison, I’m the one for you, I was sentance to seven years not seven times a day.”

  37. tom says:

This is new and latebreaking going across Texas wire.

“Life Insurance Scam on Foster Care Children uncovered”

“Abramoff planned to purchase term life insurance on Tigua elders and collect the death benefits as they died. It was an imaginative idea by which the deaths of tribal elders wuld pay for lobbying services for those left behind. It was also more than the Tigua Tribal Council could stomach.

Abramoff found another niche market to which the evangelical Reed could connect him: dying African American Christians. I Reed Cld, as he promised Abramoff in an e-mail deliver 85,000 Christain Voters,” Abramoff must have assumed he could deliver enough dying black Christians to create a new revenue stram. In July 2003, Abramoff emailed Reed regarding Black Churches Insurance program. “Per our previous discussion. Let me know how we can move forward to chat with folks who can set this up with African American elders. It can be huge!”
    - Texas Observer August 26, 2005, page 19.

Sorry to break it to the Texas Observer but Abramoff didn’t come up with the idea. They been running a “DEAD PEASANT INSURANCE SCAM IN TEXAS ON RETIRED STATE OFFICIALS” but here is where they got the idea.

They buried legislation in an appropriations bill, 105-311, to take life insurance out on Foster Care Children, it isn’t in the Foster Care Legislation, or the Adoption Legislation that would have been a “dead” give away! It was put toward the end of the “Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance: New FEGLI Legislation under OPTION C. They made it legal for group foster homes to take out life insurance on the Foster Care Children. Isn’t the State the fiduciary? And how does a Group home have an insurable interest? And aren’t the group homes politically connected? Congressman Tom DeLay showed up in DC thwarth a Congressional Investigation with tons of cases, hundreds on corruption in the Judicial system CPS courts. See! http://www.familyrightsassociation.com Also look at this http://www.txcfr.org and then this http://www.texascasa.org/new/About_US/_board.asp?boardid=1 Look at Judge on Board of Directors of CASA that goes to court to testify against parents as a Non Profit, which also receives state funds, and it is against the Judicial Cannon too! Look. http://www.txcfr.org/em11-153-05.html
the Judges wife goes to court and testifies against the parents and has the contracts once the children are taken away to do POST ADOPTIVE THERAPY! Also the Texas State Audits show NO WAY OF KNOWING SERVICES BILLED EVER PROVIDED!!! Republican Governor Rick Perry said, on TV WOAI, “Don’t Point Fingers” from Republican Judge John Specia’s Courtroom, (Family CPS Judge-paid as CPS consultant according to Texas Centerfor Family Rights ethics complaint)! How are they going to return the children back to original parents now that adopted out???? Speech with Tom DeLay in San Antonio, TX with guess who oh, and Tom DeLay’s wife is on CASA that the Judge directs that he gave a speech with and tapes can be bought!!!

Here are the Falsified DEATH REPORTS turned in to Congressional Record!!! http://www.nydailynews.com/news/local/story/42203p-39826c.html “52 Foster Care Deaths in 01′, Betsy claims” How come the DHS report says “1″ then in 01, instead of 52?! The report here in the NY Daily shows Betsy arguing their are 23 deaths in foster care in 2000, and ACS says 22, how come DHS report says “2″!? Go to the Texas State Comptroller website and go to search, type in “Forgotten Children”, go to page 220, and see the Fatalit reports in State Conservatorship, 2000, for Texas shows 21 NOT “1″ the DHS reported, and in 2002, it shows 44, not “0″, Some one has some Splainin’ to do lucy? LIKE WHERE IS EXCESS LIFE INSURANCE MONEY GOING? I know all that money isn’t being spent on the Funerals for the children. Plus the KEYE TV report showed drugging the children in lethal combinations NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ADULTS LET ALONE CHILDREN! THEY OFFIN’ THE KIDS FOR MONEY OR WHAT??? Why the covered up reports if they are not and what about the restraint death caught on video taped in State Care! “FOLLOW TEH LIFE INSURANCE MONEY”, I noticed the Indpendent Insurance PAC made a big contributon before this legislation!! Also I see UNUM Provident is under a multistate federal investigation for RICO Rackateering and I also noticed they are openly advertising on the internet for life insurance on foster children!

Quit taking LIFE INSURANCE ON THE FOSTER CARE CHILDREN NOW! SCAMMERS, Oh, the Republicans passed that PL 105-311 legilation and sponsored it too! VOTE THEM OUT IT IS UNELECTION TIME!!!!

This is the Congressional Investigation, that was covered up and thwarthed by Tom DeLay and the Head of Lutheran Social Services Senske(the lawyer), what a coincidence they do Russian Adoptions and have the biggest Foster Care contract in Texas.

I noticed they made a trip to Russia too! I wonder if them parents in Russia complaining their children are being sold and child trafficked to US gave them an earful …………they probably just ignored them ! See how it works!
