Following Michelle Malkin’s lead, Rep. Tom Tancredo

has called on officials to “reconsider” the crescent design of a memorial for 9/11 victims “because of the crescent’s prominent use as a symbol in Islam.” We’re guessing he won’t be protesting the crescent in this design, or this one.

  1. Zwack says:

Well, I think South Carolina should remove that “Islamic” crescent from their flag… Bunch of degenerates, their state dance is the Shag!

    Z.

  2. Platypus says:

Don’t the Shriners or someone like that have a crescent (and lots of other Islamic symbolism)? Oh look: they do. I know they’re a dwindling constituency, but they might be an important one because of their charitable work. Why isn’t Tancredo going after them?

  3. The Northeast Dilemma says:

How unAmerican are you people? This design is a disgrace and essentially raises a white flag to our enemies. Islam is a hateful religion. Most Americans agree with that. So why would celebrate that?

  4. cynical ex-hippie says:

So now that Bush has rid us of the suggestively Islamic “Crescent City,” what’s next?

  5. Spudge-Boy says:

Sheesh, hello crazy wingnuts, there are real problems out there.

This is the same stupid mentality that made everybody not want to see images of the World Trade Center buildings in any movies, pictures, etc. after 9/11. They even removed a scene from Spiderman 2. Give me a break.

Here’s a good question these idiots should asks themselves:

How many Muslims were in the WTC? Were the people in the WTC only Christians?

  6. Spudge-Boy says:

Islam is not a hateful religion you f*cking assh*le. There are extremists that preach hate, but the same thing can be said about Christians. You are a complete f*cktard. Go learn something about countries other than the USA.

Shit, I just fed the piece of sh*t troll.

  7. The Northeast Dilemma says:

#6 – you should leave the country and hang your head in shame.

You people wonder why you are called terrorist sympathizers. CASE IN POINT.

  8. Spudge-Boy says:

I hold my head proud in my country, you know the one you won’t go serve in the military for. I have fought for my country to protect the freedom of all Americans, even your dumbass.

Islam is not a hateful religion. It is when that religion is followed by mindless morons, like yourself, who will follow whatever their leaders say, like yourself, that evil people can bend things out of whack, like the Bush administration.

Troll translator off. Like I said before, it is useless to talk to these f*cking moronic NeoCons.

  9. Zwack says:

    #3 and #7…

Islamic Fundamentalists can be hate filled…
Christian Fundamentalists can be hate filled…

This is not a matter of opinion, this is a fact. I can prove this on an etch-a-sketch. (Hands up if you recognise this…)

If you read the Fricking Article, the design is for a circle (A CIRCLE!!! Not a crescent!) that is intersected by the planes flightpath. They state “This simply follows the topography of the crash site”…

Can I remind you of the first amendment? http://www.house.gov/Constitution/Amend.html

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

This implies that Christianity is not the state religion… There is no state religion. Even worse, it implies religious tolerance.

Obviously as this is the first amendment it was considered fundamental enough that it should be right at the head of the line.

I hope that you ban Croissants from your household, and Crescent Rolls, and you sort all of the broken fruit loops out of the box…

  10. Zwack says:

#7 Where did anyone sympathise with Terrorists in this chain?

I know several followers of Mohammed p.b.u.h. and all of the ones that I personally know are nice, caring, sensible people. I know many more Christians and they are generally the same. I know some Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Wiccans and Taoists too, I do not object to any of their religions… I don’t know any Terrorists, but considering how close I have come to being blown up by them I don’t like them. My dislike of Terrorists doesn’t apply to all Muslims, Irish, Germans, Spaniards, Welsh, Scots, Ethiopians,… or any other group.

    Z.

  11. kindness says:

Ahhh, Spudge-Boy….it seems like only yesterday you were CORRECTLY telling me to not feed the trolls. I know the paradox. Ignore the Bozo’s as they have shown their lack of integrity and depth of thought that they won’t just plain go away. They won’t. Cause it’s an ego thing for them. Their own pitiful little lives aren’t complete without trying to bring unhappiness to others. KOS boots them.

Islam doesn’t preach hatred but some people who practice it do. Same with Christianity, Judeism, Hindu’s and any other sect you can find.

Now fear not. There is a special circle of hell that’s being reserved for Malkin and her ilk. I don’t believe in hell, but I do believe in Karma & damn Michelle has some god awful karma going. Allow that to give us all peace in it’s own way.

ned – you’re a fool. I don’t pity you cause you choose to be an ignorant dumbass. suck eggs dipshit.

  12. Spudge-Boy says:

    kindness,

You are correct and I am sorry. I need to not feed the trolls. I need to follow my own advice. It just irks me when people make the assumtion that Islam = Terrorists. I know Muslims and they are good people. They wouldn’t ever dream of hurting, let alone killing anybody. They want to follow the teachings of the Koran and have a good life here in America, just like everybody else.

Everybody, in America, is entitled to freedom of religion without persicution. These trolls seem to think that everybody in America is etiher Christian or wants to be Christian.

  13. Marie says:

There is only one word to describe them — nuts.
These are the people who remaned French fries.
Shall we rename crescent cookies too?

  14. Marie says:

    sorry – should be “renamed”

  15. Zwack says:

    Spudge-boy… That’s not quite true…

Some of these “Christians” claim that Catholics aren’t Christians, so they obviously don’t want some Christians to be Christians.

    Z.

  16. Brandi says:

i know muslems and they are good people? The same ones who were celebrating on 9/11? atta was charactorized as a ‘very nice guy’ by his neighbors. i agree, lets just put up a white flag.

  17. Mikey says:

This is a perfect example that some politicians just have too much time on their hands. Who in their right mind would ever think that the memorial was trying to honor the terrorists?

And NED, to say that Islam is a hateful religion shows your ignorance. Thanks for proving yourself.

Also, I’m not a terrorist sympathizer nor am I leaving the country. I do hang my head in shame occasionally whenever I’m reminded that the majority of Americans elected, and then re-elected a moron to the most powerful seat in the nation. And I hang it in shame again everytime I think about the raping and pillaging that Bushco is doing to our great nation. Your kind of people make me sick.

  18. Spudge-Boy says:

    Good point Zwack.

God I hate to do this but, here goes:

    Brandi,

Not all Muslims were dancing in the streets on 9/11. There was a higher number condeming the dancers. Just keep your eyes focused on the negative and you will remain ignorant. Stop watching Fox News and you will learn about other things going on in the world around us. Or remain a retard like NeD

  19. Marie says:

    Spudge boy,
sometimes it is really hard to ignore the really vile comments from the evil trolls. They think they speak for America, but they are the Amerikans who live under the rocks and crawl in dark, dank places. You know that when trolls cannot find fault with your reasoning, they attack you — it’s expected — they all do it. Their arguments are selfish and weak, based on half-truths and lies, distorted and misquoted, and they are scared! They know they are going down in humiliation. It will just take the rest of us a while to do it because they are so organized with their talking points, brown shirts and shiny boots, and marching orders – but we will overcome them with truth and honesty.
Thanks for all your good comments – I am learning from you.

  20. Brandi says:

your right, i really stand corrected, but i believe you preficed it by stating “not all”.

  21. Marie says:

Every muslim I have ever met has been kind, charitable, and thoughtful. I have met a lot of Christians and Jews who have been less than exemplary in their social behavior, though.

  22. Spudge-Boy says:

    Brandi,

We all understand that there are Terrorists that call themselves Muslims. That is why I said, “not all,” because there were a few that did (one set himself on fire, which I had a good laugh at), but you can’t lump all Muslims into the Terrorist category the way NeD does.

NeD is just a evil as the Terrorists.

  25. good vibes says:

I have a nagging question for Bush and his supporters about how his beliefs justify his actions. I do not read the bible and that is why I am asking, any input would be apreciated.

Jesus taught forgivness, and turning the other cheek. How does this affect support for the war by the religoius right?

Im sure there are other contradictions, but like i said I dont read the bible.I am not joking, are these high and mighty religious righters able to pick and choose when the bible is apropriate and still act morally superior to me? Im confused NED please help.

  26. Zwack says:

    Brandi,
While I am sure that there are people (who claim to be) of every faith that act in ways I personally would disagree with, there are very few faiths that I feel don’t contribute something positive to society.
“Some Muslims” may have been dancing in the streets on 9/11 (assuming that all of the footage we were shown was relevant) but that doesn’t mean that “all Muslims” or even “the majority of Muslims”…
To quote Monty Python “Universal affirmatives can only be partially converted: all of Alma Cogan is dead, but only some of the class of dead people are Alma Cogan.”
For the rest of this see http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~norman/Jokes-file/LogicProfessor.html

    Does this clarify?

    Z.

  27. Zwack says:

    Good Vibes…

The bible is inherently self contradictory. While Jesus did talk a lot about forgiveness, he also said “I came not to bring peace, but a Sword, to pit Brother against Brother…”

MY guess is that they will take this one passage as their justification.

I personally pick the caring, forgiving stuff…

    Z.

  28. Joe Sixpack says:

Hey, Northeast Dilemma, how goes the cursades? I think it is about time the lefties here are called “unAmerican” as you put it in #3 and also saying Islam is a “hateful religion.” But, NED, I can tell you, you just ain’t getting through, you know?

Now correct me if I’m wrong, but Bush has long since stopped calling them “Islamic terrorists” but only “insurgents” or “haters of democracy” or terrorists who “hate freedom.” I mean, Bush himself must be a terrorist sympathizer if you think about it. NED, just what is your take on our Iraqi allies? You know, the members of the hateful religion Bush says are with us in our war on terror? I think your were right (#7), and they ought to leave the country and take that drug-store cowboy with ‘em, myself.

  29. Darth Filibustrous says:

    A good read:

    http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2005/09/14/time_to_talk_to_al_qaeda/

Warning: this article is not for those who are scared to read opinions by a guy named “MOHAMMAD-MAHMOUD OULD MOHAMEDOU”

  30. kindness says:

It’s a good read Darth. I’m not sure we could achieve anything by talking to Al Qaeda though. What I mean by that is that they define, it seems to me, themselves in their very essence to be the ONLY true people on the planet who are able to pass judgement on others. Maybe I’ve read too much MSM stuff that likes to put loose thoughts in nice little, easily defined (and incorrectly defined) boxes. But I think not.

Al Qaeda is the same as the Pat Robertsons & Jerry Falwells of the world. They need those they rally against so as to have definition. Without their proclaimed superiority and self righteousness, they (all of ‘em, Osama, Falwell, bush43) wouldn’t be able to motivate their illiterate masses. Hate is a very easily fostered motivating tool to the dimwitted. & the really sad part is that I think they truly believe their own press clippings & claims.

So, on those lines, I wouldn’t expect any talks to amount to anything, nor would I expect any agreement to be worth the paper it’s written on.

Now should we be talking with the Orthodox wings of all groups? Absolutely! Understanding one another takes the element of fear out of what we don’t know. It is that fear that gives all the extremists the power they weild among their followers. Mind you, we should be addressing ALL groups in my mind, not JUST the Orthodox.

I suppose there are secret Islamic messages in their Alphabits as well.

Now I see the connection, those French and their French restaurants serving croissants and crescent shaped puff pastry.
    Islamic sympathizers… boycott those frogs.
