It’s a good read Darth. I’m not sure we could achieve anything by talking to Al Qaeda though. What I mean by that is that they define, it seems to me, themselves in their very essence to be the ONLY true people on the planet who are able to pass judgement on others. Maybe I’ve read too much MSM stuff that likes to put loose thoughts in nice little, easily defined (and incorrectly defined) boxes. But I think not.

Al Qaeda is the same as the Pat Robertsons & Jerry Falwells of the world. They need those they rally against so as to have definition. Without their proclaimed superiority and self righteousness, they (all of ‘em, Osama, Falwell, bush43) wouldn’t be able to motivate their illiterate masses. Hate is a very easily fostered motivating tool to the dimwitted. & the really sad part is that I think they truly believe their own press clippings & claims.

So, on those lines, I wouldn’t expect any talks to amount to anything, nor would I expect any agreement to be worth the paper it’s written on.

Now should we be talking with the Orthodox wings of all groups? Absolutely! Understanding one another takes the element of fear out of what we don’t know. It is that fear that gives all the extremists the power they weild among their followers. Mind you, we should be addressing ALL groups in my mind, not JUST the Orthodox.

Now correct me if I’m wrong, but Bush has long since stopped calling them “Islamic terrorists” but only “insurgents” or “haters of democracy” or terrorists who “hate freedom.” I mean, Bush himself must be a terrorist sympathizer if you think about it. NED, just what is your take on our Iraqi allies? You know, the members of the hateful religion Bush says are with us in our war on terror? I think your were right (#7), and they ought to leave the country and take that drug-store cowboy with ‘em, myself.

MY guess is that they will take this one passage as their justification.

While I am sure that there are people (who claim to be) of every faith that act in ways I personally would disagree with, there are very few faiths that I feel don’t contribute something positive to society.
“Some Muslims” may have been dancing in the streets on 9/11 (assuming that all of the footage we were shown was relevant) but that doesn’t mean that “all Muslims” or even “the majority of Muslims”…
To quote Monty Python “Universal affirmatives can only be partially converted: all of Alma Cogan is dead, but only some of the class of dead people are Alma Cogan.”

I have a nagging question for Bush and his supporters about how his beliefs justify his actions. I do not read the bible and that is why I am asking, any input would be apreciated.

Jesus taught forgivness, and turning the other cheek. How does this affect support for the war by the religoius right?

Im sure there are other contradictions, but like i said I dont read the bible.I am not joking, are these high and mighty religious righters able to pick and choose when the bible is apropriate and still act morally superior to me? Im confused NED please help.

We all understand that there are Terrorists that call themselves Muslims. That is why I said, “not all,” because there were a few that did (one set himself on fire, which I had a good laugh at), but you can’t lump all Muslims into the Terrorist category the way NeD does.

sometimes it is really hard to ignore the really vile comments from the evil trolls. They think they speak for America, but they are the Amerikans who live under the rocks and crawl in dark, dank places. You know that when trolls cannot find fault with your reasoning, they attack you — it’s expected — they all do it. Their arguments are selfish and weak, based on half-truths and lies, distorted and misquoted, and they are scared! They know they are going down in humiliation. It will just take the rest of us a while to do it because they are so organized with their talking points, brown shirts and shiny boots, and marching orders – but we will overcome them with truth and honesty.

Not all Muslims were dancing in the streets on 9/11. There was a higher number condeming the dancers. Just keep your eyes focused on the negative and you will remain ignorant. Stop watching Fox News and you will learn about other things going on in the world around us. Or remain a retard like NeD
