Katrina Speech: Bush Pledges to Learn Lessons All Over Again

Bush said: “This government will learn the lessons of Hurricane Katrina. We are going to review every action and make necessary changes, so that we are better prepared for any challenge of nature, or act of evil men, that could threaten our people.”

FACT — BUSH CLAIMED TO HAVE LEARNED THE LESSONS OF 9/11:
Bush: “I make decisions based upon what I think is important for the security of the American people. And I’m not going to forget the lessons of 9/11, September 2001.” [10/3/03]

Remedial work for Bushie. He didn’t learn anything from the “lessons of 9/11.” Adult attention deficit disorder is a kind excuse. Ignorant, callous, self-centered, incapable of self-improvement lout is more like it.

All together now: “And this time, I mean it!”

  3. Hans Castorp says:

What I hope they all learn:

    1) $200 billion means you can’t call yourself “self-reliant” anymore.

    2) “Government Funded Social Programs” and “Public Investment in Social and Physical Infrastructure” are to be said with a bit less disdain.

    What they’ll probably learn:

    1) With $200 billion you can reduce poverty by bulldozing poor neighborhoods.

    2) Jesus hates fags.

I think they’ve encapsulated the entire Progressive movement in one “easy to read” manifesto – as opposed to the weighty “Communist Manifesto”. The Humanist Manifesto has all your bases covered – from science and education and all points in between!! Very self-reliant!!!
