AUGUST 29
7AM: Katrina hits. Chertoff (not FEMA director Brown) is in charge of managing the national response.
MORNING: Brown makes frantic calls to Chertoff: “I am having a horrible time….I can’t get a unified command established.”
(Knight-Ridder later reported, “Katrina…was a major concern, but not the only thing preoccupying Homeland Security officials.” Evidently it was quite low on the list; Bush called Chertoff as the hurricane made landfall to talk about immigration. )
AUGUST 30
MORNING: Chertoff goes on with business-as-usual, flying to Atlanta for a previously-scheduled briefing on avian flu.
AFTERNOON: Chertoff declares Katrina an “incident of national significance” and transfers full authority to FEMA Director Michael Brown.
Two weeks later Chertoff’s office insisted, “We pushed absolutely everything we could, every employee, every asset, every effort, to save and sustain lives.”
Evidently Chertoff wasn’t part of the “every employee” strategy.
I’m no x-purt, but isn’t Avian flu the province of the CDC and NIH?
WTF?

Chertoff must go.
September 16th, 2005 at 3:10 pmIn Chertoff’s defense, maybe he got intel that Al-Qaeda was planning an attack with flu-loaded birds …
September 16th, 2005 at 3:13 pmOR MAYBE RATS WITH THE PLAGUE!!! YIKES!!!
September 16th, 2005 at 3:33 pmIsn’t CDC part of DHS now? Everything else is…

September 16th, 2005 at 3:38 pmHey, the prez has accepted responsibility, and all is well. We’re gonna get to the bottom of this, stay the course as long as we have to, throw tons of money at the Gulf [as long as Congress agrees which they likely won't], and have a completely objective investigation of what went wrong by committees dominated by Republicans. And, to make sure there are no snags [in developing the desired answers and policies], Rove will head it all up.

September 16th, 2005 at 4:22 pmFlash or Flesh Gordon?
September 16th, 2005 at 4:38 pmDrownie’s resignation was Chertoff’s clue to get on down the road.
September 16th, 2005 at 4:41 pmThis shitoff guy should of been down the road before or with brownie. He’s an attorney isn’t he, maybe that’s why he is still in power or maybe the wife has something to do with it….Blessings
September 16th, 2005 at 4:56 pmChertoff is as inept and clumsy and stupid as Brown — actually I could insert Bush in there too.
September 16th, 2005 at 5:00 pmThey were truly clueless – unable to respond – and just how much government is under the Homeland Security Department?
HHS? CDC?
Marie,
Lets not forget the EPA and FDA, both of which couldn’t pull corn chips out of their a$$, let alone actually protect the american people from corporate interests that prefer to maximize profits at the expense of american lives and health…
September 16th, 2005 at 5:23 pmDoes anyone else find it disturbing that Chertoff is an israeli national with dual citizenship (even if he dismisses this), and that his mother was a Mossad agent? I find this a huge conflict of interest in his current role to protect america, and in particular with america’s stance which appears to be pro israel and anti islam as a basis for policy…
It seems like the fox is watching the hen house… No wonder they don’t spend any money on actually protecting america, they prefer to instead protect israel at the expense of american lives..
September 16th, 2005 at 5:27 pmDHS Emergencies & Disasters guidelines specify that the President is responsible for the safety of the country and the Secretary of DHS is responsible for coordination on the ground.

September 16th, 2005 at 5:29 pmWell, if you read the National Disaster Response Plan, it says Chertoff was supposed to be the Man In Charge of the unified government response. DOH!
September 16th, 2005 at 5:53 pmRyan, Are you sure about Chertoff?
September 16th, 2005 at 6:00 pmThat is a huge conflict of interest for the H.S. Director!
Doesn’t anyone ever do background checks on Bushie appointees? Silly me — what a dumb question.
Ryan #15, I knew that and was being a smart a**. There is some conflict of intrest concerning his wife as well. “Oh what a tangled web they weave”. This entire house of thieves needs to be out of our government. Is there any one in this country strong enough to do the job.?……Blessings
September 16th, 2005 at 6:15 pmMarie,
Yes I am sure. His mother was an israeli citizen, and while he was born in the US, he automatically is an israeli citizen. He has not explicitly revolked this, and is completely evasive every time he’s asked about it. He does the ‘what does is mean’ parsing one would expect, and says, well – what does it mean to be a foreign national?
Apparently he was asked about this during his conformation, and when he deflected with the whole, that’s ridiculous, what does it mean to be a foreign national, I was born in the US routine – the dems let it go, just as they’ve let every other inept resume lie and misrepresentation go…
The reality is we have an entire core of NeoCon leadership that are tied to the mossad in some fashion either directly or indirectly – and the conservative christians either know and don’t care, or they’re too stupid to know. In either case, it’s really sad because they are betraying our national security while protecting that of israel. I’m all for protecting israel, I’m also for protecting palestinians. It’s called a ‘balanced’ foreign policy not based on fear, paranoia, racism and bigotry – but then that’s a lot to expect from a bunch of paranoid, racist, biggoted religious fools…
September 16th, 2005 at 6:56 pmYep! Thank you again Ryan, I knew that, yah I did……Blessings..P.S. I also agree.
September 16th, 2005 at 7:04 pmI am with you, Ryan, in that I want a balanced foreign policy – and with you also, when you say that’s a lot to expect from these fools.
September 16th, 2005 at 7:09 pmI appreciate your information. This is really alarming.
Everyone must be asleep on the hill, and the inmates are running the asylum.
Look at the other thread today about Myers being in charge of Immigration Enforcement (ICE) nepotism is how one gets a job — experience/qualifications are immaterial.
I wonder how far down we have to be in s–t before anyone finds the determination, and has the ability to stop this madness.
Marie,
The NeoCons are all disciples of Leo Strauss who was a Nazi Jew (isn’t that bizarre?) who was allowed to leave Germany because he was a devout nazi and helped them with their cause of arresting liberal jews. When he arrived here, he created an entire generation of right wing jews and christians who are as insane as he is. This includes Wolfowitz, Pearle, Chertoff, Rumsfeld, Cheney and the list is almost endless. These men are absolutely bonkers, and they firmly believe that the only thing hitler did wrong was attacking the jews when he should have attacked islam…
They’re totally whacko, and supported by their ahole friends who come to this site to express their utter ignorance and lack of even the most basic grasp of reality.
September 16th, 2005 at 7:25 pmLets see. VP Cheney passes the buck to his puppet, Bush; Bush to Chertoff; Chertoff to Brown; Brown to Gov. Blanco; Blanco to Mayor Nagin . Wasn’t that the old, failed trickle down theory invented by the Reagan Administration? Evidently Cheney is still trying to find a way to make it work.
September 16th, 2005 at 7:28 pmGuess we are not quite there yet Marie. The day when most of our country starts to march and scream like we have been doing, that will be the day. Our duty is to show them and bring all the corruption to the surface for them to see. They all have to see ( visual ) evidance in living color, time, after time. One would think our disaster in the south would of done it, maybe. I can’t forget, but I can’t speek for the public…Blessings
September 16th, 2005 at 7:29 pmRyan #23, Wow I didn’t know that. Unholy s**t. Where did you get this info. Would love to read this book, not kidding. Hank #24 Yah the trickle down, that’s where Regan peed down our backs and told us it was raining. He wasen’t even a good actor. Blessings
September 16th, 2005 at 7:35 pmPlease forgive Ryan, isn’t Shitoff’s wife involved as well ?, can’t remember but think I read she was working for Bush in some capasety and resigned because of conflict of intrests. Blessings
September 16th, 2005 at 7:40 pmEighty percent of all Americans are not qualified for the jobs they take. They learn on their job and through experience, including trial and error, they acquire the skills needed to become efficient at what they do. Unfortunately, if one does not have the ability to recognize their own mistakes quickly and resolve them, then they must be considered incompetent for the task laid out before them.
This is where we find Mr. Brown. This is also where we find Mr. Chertoff and President Bush.
There are many Americans with skill sets that may not fit the models or job descriptions, but that does not mean they are not competent enough to be able to complete the task at hand. It is a matter balancing risk with experience which requires competency and honesty to fulfill and neither Brown, Chertoff or Bush have these traits.
The art of lying has become prevalent in business and government today. “Passing the buck†is all to common place. Unfortunately, in this case, Katrina+5 lives were at stake and lives were lost. How much blame and what type of judgment or punishment should be placed on these three individuals for their incompetence which cost lives?
Now, Mr. Chaney is a bit different. This man knows exactly what he is doing. He can not be held incompetent rather he must be held as an accessory because he did not come forward as the deeds were being done.
When it became clear to the world that a criminal act was underway, he as second in command had a responsibility to become involved when the President chose not to.
He has a fiduciary responsibility to protect American citizens in such a crises as does the President.
This was a pre meditated act of “standing down†by FEMA which cost lives. Were the orders to do so, orders that came from the top? This is what we must find out.
September 16th, 2005 at 7:58 pm#23, Ryan, I have read a little on Strauss, and everything I have read about him tells me that he is insane – but the neocons – I understand were once democrats and then became disillusioned – found a messiah in Strauss and took his ideas and ran with them, recruting others along the way. It took 20 years, but here they are, all together, all of the same mind and they are in charge of EVERYTHING.
September 16th, 2005 at 7:58 pmI am afraid we are already on the path of fascism.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0312217838/104-7084108-5932765?v=glance
Yes some of the neocons used to be liberals, just as limbaugh did – but I think of them more of the sort of people who experimented sexually in college more than actually understanding, believing or even having liberal values themselves….
As for Chertoff’s wife, I heard something about a fema, corporate tie – but I don’t know much more than that… All of these guys have neoptism and frankly criminal extortion and kickback ties to some corporation, whether it be halliburton, boeing, lockheed or whomever… It’s just the sleazy way the defense industry works, and why corporate influence over elections is unacceptable in a democracy.
September 16th, 2005 at 8:12 pmMarie#29 you spoke of Strauss in the present tense. Is he still living.? Will have to get this info. Probably on retainer for the administration if he is….Thank you all for all the info, not kidding. The more one know’s the better…Blessings
September 16th, 2005 at 8:14 pmSharon,
He died in the 70s, but his legacy is now an entire generation of obscessive fascist blowhard pseudo intellectuals… They’re smart enough to be dangerous, but not smart enough to realize how stupid they can be…
September 16th, 2005 at 8:17 pmRyan#31. That was a way funny example, college, sex and limbaugh. Makes me wonder who’s kid’s are who’s, as if they care. Didn’t know some of these people use to be Dem’s either. And all this time I thought the mafia were the realy bad guy’s. Thank’s again…..Blessings

Is it just me or does anyone else find all these “Blessings” from Sharon Cox just a little creepy?
Sharon, from whom do all these “Blessings” flow?
September 17th, 2005 at 9:20 amNo, it’s more like the Fox has already raided the
hen house and eaten everything in site! Now, as he
stands there, feathers in his mouth, he declares,
“I take responsibility.†as if that is going to
fix everything.
From the crowded barnyard voices are heard; The
hens are dead! The hens are dead! Oh my god, the
hens are dead!
As the Fox tries to dance around this fact, he
points to those who mock him and says, “We will
rebuild, no matter what it cost we will rebuild.â€
But Mr. Fox, you can’t rebuild if your already dead.
It’s not Chertoff running the show, it’s President
G W Bush. Chertoff is serving at the pleasure of
the president. He is guilty as a co conspirator
in committing the crime, but he was also following
orders.
The order was to “stand down†and restrict the flow
of aid into the area. Mr. Chertoff nor Mr. Brown
ever apologized for this fact.
This was an order, an experiment to see just how
September 17th, 2005 at 10:04 amthis new model known as Homeland Security would
function. It became apparently evident that it
was broken, but still they did not deviate form
their mission. They continued on course until
many Americans were dead. Sadly those lies will
not be rebuilt.
In response, I send blessings to every one. It’s like hope for the best and plan for the worst. A good thought or a caring for every one. Collective good wishes, non hate works for me…. Blessings

Charlie…got a link? Got a clue? Guess what, I’ve got quotes from La. officials that say they are the ones that stopped the “aid” to NO. And they give the reasons why. But first show me yours.

comment by Sharon “Blessing” Cox
The reason because you don’t know these things is because you, until now, didn’t hang out on fringe lunatic web sites. Do you honestly think this crap they spew if it were true wouldn’t be on the cover of Time and all over every MSM outlet in the country? Do you realize how much this would be worth to the NYT and the rest if there were even a hint of credibility to all these “revelations” these idiots come up with?
If you’re really going to hand out “blessings” to others you need to learn how to think critically. There’s only one thing the Filthy Left and their counterparts on the Lunatic Right do well (both are well represented here by the way), lie and make up conspiracy theories that they pass off as genuine fact. Sheesh!
September 17th, 2005 at 12:17 pmThursday night ABC (20/20 I think) ran a peice about this “dangerous flu”. I didn’t watch the entire thing because I knew it was just another scare tactic. Another way to divert us from the current situation in the Gulf.
Remember during the election campaign when the flu shot was an issue? Expect more propaganda this flu season.
September 17th, 2005 at 12:24 pmOn Congressman Conyers Blog, a true PATRIOT named Sandra has exposed Chertoff for what he is. FEMA is failing by design. Chertoff is in charge of this new design.

September 17th, 2005 at 12:29 pmOur country has survived many misfortunes and mistakes in the past 230 years. Here’s hoping we can make it for the next 3 years when we get a chance to vote these ideolistic fascist shitheads out of power. May their ilk never see the light of political action again. They should be gathered and shot and their amassed personal belongings dispersed to pay down the deficit caused by their mistakes.
May our future generations remember the heady days of neoconservative and right wing religion activity. Let it be testamony to the separation of church and state once and for all. Our forefathers were liberals, they made this nation and the liberals will save the mess that these facsists have made. Long live free and open thinking and expression.

September 17th, 2005 at 2:04 pmIts worse. Check out this blog post:”9-16-2005: thinkings: Chertoff was the official in charge of Katrina crisis since August 27th or 2 days before hurricane hit: Is he now trying to set Brown up as scapegoat? The emergency disaster declarations signed by Bush on August 27th also constituted an incident declaration, which triggers federal response duties. Why did Chertoff sign a 2nd incident declaration and delegate response duties to Brown on August 30th?” posted at patriotdaily.com

But correct me if I’m wrong, but you have to admit Susan has a point about the diversionary tactics. This administration is a master at it. You know, getting the news agencies to focus somewhere else than on their disasterous decisions like Iraq, Plumegate, and now New Orleans. Don’t think it’s working too well yet, although they have got another “God out of the schools” issue in California. Next thing you know, Right, Bush and them will be hollering about your Nazi flag.

September 17th, 2005 at 7:03 pm“It’s why we win. It’s why we’re better than you.
MrWrong,
Meaner doesn’t mean better. After all, from a moral sense Hitler wasn’t better than either his political opponents or countries he took over like france or the netherlands, but he was meaner and more criminal. You confuse your criminal behaviors with being morally superior in some way.
After all, the romans were ‘better’ than christ and nailed him to a cross, but that didn’t make them ‘better’, just more evil. Your use of the term ‘filthy’ to describe those who believe that lives should have been saved by better management really shows how stupid and immoral you are. The folks in alabama and mississippi not getting attention? While their plight is also horrible, tens of thousands of them weren’t cramped in shelters waiting for federal assistance (thousands still are in New Orleans) unable to get out because of flooding. The plight of all 3 states are terrible, but the difference is that the number of people unable to get out or get help are concentrated mainly in new orleans. In otherwords it’s the biggest part of the overall failure by the federal government, but the folks in alabama and miss. were certainly failed by the federal government as well.
The people on the ground doing the work are americans, only the political freaks like you who don’t realize that good federal employees exist in both parties. Many of those good employees left because fema management was as incompetent as you are stupid, but there are many more there who still are capable of doing a good job when their management does it. It’s the right wing crooks like halliburton that aren’t returning a good value.
Your ‘assumptions’ are insane, just like you are you nitwit…

comment by Ryan, moral midget, probably insane
Ryan, I don’t usually make much of myself in regards to morality. I do know the difference between right and wrong and judge myself (in private) mostly wrong. Yet, here you are presenting moral equivalencies between Hitler and people who were not perfect but certainly not Hitler. Therefore, in all candor and as much humility as my trained mind and extra large ego will allow, I have to say without equivocation, I’m a better man than you. Not because you have a degenerative sexual pathology going on but because you have been usurped by evil itself. May God have mercy on your soul.

September 17th, 2005 at 9:04 pmI have, and they complain that their insurance is refusing to pay for their house damage, and that they’ve yet to see ANYONE from FEMA, and that it’s clear based on the speach from der fuhrer they’re gonna be hosed…
What do your friends say? Oh wait, you’re a stupid ahole who doesn’t have friends – that’s why everything you post is clearly hate filled nonsense from a housebound fata$$…
September 17th, 2005 at 9:18 pm“Ryan, I don’t usually make much of myself in regards to morality. I do know the difference between right and wrong and judge myself (in private) mostly wrong. ”
And in months this is the only honest thing you’ve printed – at least it’s a start.
“Yet, here you are presenting moral equivalencies between Hitler and people who were not perfect but certainly not Hitler.”
Actually I never said they were morally equivalent, that’s what you said so that you could frame the argument and disregard the fact presented. What I said is that you share that trait, and interestingly enough that trait was what enabled Hitler to perform his magic of manipulation. What he did with this tool so far is much worse than this fascist administration has done, however hitler also had to start somewhere as well…
“Therefore, in all candor and as much humility as my trained mind and extra large ego will allow, I have to say without equivocation, I’m a better man than you. ”
And how would you know this? I’m certainly more in tuned with the suffering and plights of others. I care more about democracy as you’ve clearly stated that you feel that being a nazi in america’s democracy is valid. You don’t even have the most basic of christian principles of pascifism, compassion and forgiveness. You can delude yourself into believing you’re a better man than anyone you want – so far I’ve yet to see any traits in you that even resemble a man. You better resemble a little boy who has yet not grown up either emotionally or consciously. A child in the world of adults…
“Not because you have a degenerative sexual pathology going on but because you have been usurped by evil itself. May God have mercy on your soul.”
This would be called projection. I believe you should ask for your own mercy based on the hate, bigotry and self righteous claptrap you spew. You are evil, yet like all evil, you’re trapped by the scam that by committing evil you are superior. You’ve been tempted by the bright church on the hill, just as christ warned people they would be. You’ve been duped by the simplest of cons, and in your moral self righteousness you’ve become a psychotic loser… Your attachment to my ’sexual’ whatever it is, clearly demostrates your issues – and they clearly demonstrate some repressed psychology that has twisted and distorted your view of reality. Too bad you probably only know religious schooled psychologists – you could seriously use the help of a trained psychiatrist. It’s clear your grip on reality is tentative at best…
September 17th, 2005 at 9:31 pmChertoff was the Republican council in the Whitewater investigation. This story describes him as Al D’Amato’s (former sleezeball senator from NY who headed the investigation) “alter ego.”
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/whitewater/stories/wwtr960619.htm
The Watergate drama in a sense has become a ghostly curse for every congressional investigation that has followed. Watergate lexicon is automatically passed along to the next set of circumstances, no matter how different, usually beginning with the “gate” suffix and ending with the search for a “smoking gun” – all leading to a sense that nothing has been accomplished unless the hearings result in a dramatic White House shake-up. Both sides find it hard to resist the Watergate temptation. D’Amato, excited one day by a potentially provocative memo from Clinton’s attorney, declared that the smoking gun might be at hand; when it proved less than lethal, the White House dismissed it as not a smoking gun but a “squirt gun.”
It was left to Michael Chertoff, D’Amato’s alter ego and committee counsel, to try to disabuse everyone of smoking gun expectations. A former prosecutor and trial lawyer from New Jersey, Chertoff had spent his career piecing together circumstantial cases. He would try to get inside the minds of defendants to determine motivations and then fit them into a logical chronology.
The long hearings and equally long final majority report are quintessential Chertoff products. In both cases he sought to establish motivations for the Clintons and the people around them, and then to show a pattern of how they withheld information and documents or claimed to forget things in a coordinated effort at damage control. Democrats said it was cynical and venomous of Chertoff to apply a sinister motive to every act. Complaining loudest was minority counsel Richard Ben-Veniste, who in a former career had prosecuted President Richard M. Nixon’s men for Watergate-related crimes.

Why do I have this feeling the only time you’re concerned about gun grabs is when we disarm medieval tyrants, sociopaths and criminals?
But in this case I’d almost agree with you. You don’t take this American’s gun without a warrant because if you try I’ll make an example out of you.
But to be fair to you I have to say that I know you don’t really cherish the 2nd Amendment as much as you do the opportunity to bash Bush. I’m also aware that gun owning, beer drinking, church going Americans with guns make you nervous. If you were an honest man you’d just say what you really think; that taking those guns is a good start.
Oh, by the way dumbass, iRi is the only handle I use here. If you have the feeling of being surrounded it’s only becuase I’m that much smarter and quicker than you.

Don’t get your hopes up sweetheart. I’m not interested in your sexual dysfunction other than allowing how it affects your worldview and those with whom you choose to ally yourself.
There’s a reason I call you the Filthy Left you know. What better description for the loose cadre of freak show of autonomists, zapatistas, rage-against-the-machine cultists, transgender spokespersons, abortion rights activists, militant gay and lesbians and tattered academics that characterize today’s radical fringe cum mainstream party faithful?
The Left is dead, Walking Dead, and when the last of what little brain trust that is left from Marxism’s golden years are dead and forgotten the New Left will arise and you will not recognize it until it’s too late. Here’s a hint, bone up on the Seven Pillars of Islam and get back in the closet as fast as you can.
I could go on but you wouldn’t understand a word I’m saying steeped as you are in the rotten stew you believe is living. In case you’re interesting in life here’s one man I can recommend. But just remember before you begin that “Everything you know is wrong”. You must begin anew Ryan.
I only tell you this because my God has informed me that you Ryan have free will to choose your path as you please. It follows that there may be some hope of your release from bondage. But it has to start with you. Peace..Love…Dove.
So the final conclusion would seem to be that whereas other civilizations had been brought down by attacks of barbarians from without, ours had the unique distinction of training its own destroyers at its own educational institutions and providing them with facilities for propagating their destructive ideology far and wide, all at the public expense. Thus did Western man decide to abolish himself, creating his own boredom out of his own affluence, his own vulnerability out of his own strength, his own impotence out of his own erotomania; himself blowing the trumpet that brought the walls of his own city tumbling down. And having convinced himself that he was too numerous, labored with pill and scalpel and syringe to make himself fewer, until at last, having educated himself into imbecility and polluted and drugged himself into stupefaction, he keeled over, a weary, battered old brontosaurus, and became extinct.

September 18th, 2005 at 8:49 amWhere was “Mayor” Nagin, probably America’s most corrupt and worthless mayor, during preparations? He just bought a house in Dallas, apparently. Is he going to lead New Orleans from Dallas, Texas? He should be recalled immediately and remove from office. He and Blanco failed the worst. Why did Mississippi and Alabama have their act together and don’t get the scandalous media coverage that New Orleans gets? Hmmm. Because their governors have one very important trait in common.
September 18th, 2005 at 9:11 am“Since all Leftists are compulsive liars I’d say you’ve read every word.”
This reminds me of the parable of how to ask directions from a man who lies, you ask him what his enemy would say and reverse it. Since we’ve consistently demostrated with facts that you’re an idiot – do you actually believe simply saying others are a liar without being able to prove it has any impact on anyone? You’re just a psychopathic pedophile – no one believes anything you say…
September 18th, 2005 at 6:30 pm“Where was “Mayor†Nagin, probably America’s most corrupt and worthless mayor, during preparations?”

Wow, like jesus said, they speak the words, yet they know not what they speak. I’m very happy and spirtually fulfilled in my life. I can even forgive you readily for your stupid and hatred (as jesus commanded), but you by contrast hate people that are gay – even though science clearly tells us that they are so by biology, and even though psychology tells us they are unhealthy whereas homophobes like you are crazies that actually have entire therapies developed just to treat you… Also religious fanaticism is a symptom of another form of mental illness, considering that you appear to have both – you’re one messed up whack job!

Well you’re partially right there. When your right wing friends through greed, lust and decadance chose to fund and train an international terrorist organization, while undermining civil liberties and voting rights through illegal vote rigging, they have brought down the democracy. But it was the immoral values of you and your right wing that replaced compassion and fair play, with greed and corporatism. You’ve brought down our democracy – not liberalism! Liberalism IS DEMOCRACY you historical illiterate!
September 18th, 2005 at 6:38 pmMalcolm Muggeridge was just right wing idiot like you who didn’t understand the nature of christ or christianity. You guys wrap yourselves in the robes of christianity while practicing hate, bigotry, intollerance and a world view that’s entirely roman and entirely anti-christian. Your arrogance in the face of the utter ignorance you have on the nature of either christ or christianity is astounding!
First of all, christ said that while he was the son of god, we ALL are the sons of god. He also said there’s only one creator – thereby, unless you are a pagan (which it sounds like you are), jesus was not god, or ‘A God’, but merely a man who had the ability to see beyond his human weaknesses. He trained and studied in india, and learned the mysticism and philosophies of hinduism and buddhism. When returning at age 40, he was a much more enlightened man because he understood the divinity of ALL MEN, and that within the soul of each person was god – and not externally through some god separate from us.
Your complete lack of understanding of the nature of your own soul, or its connection to all other souls including mine is the fundamental flaw of christianity (and islam) as it is taught now. There is no ‘them’ and ‘us’, there is only ‘we’. I know that you are a part of the same consciousness of the universe, and I know that through your own karma you have reached this point where are a bitter and tortured soul. You need to find a path to your spirtual happiness – and the one your on just seems to make you more stupid and bitter! Christianity is a reasonable path if that’s where you must follow – but you need to ditch the old testament, and you need to pick up a copy of the gnostic gospels. Your current narrow and incorrect understanding of christianity has just turned you into a selfish evil fool!

Hating evil is a prerequisite for salvation, tolerance of evil is evil and as I said before, bigotry can be positive as there are some people who do not deserve equal treatment under law or any other way. You’re one of them.
“First of all, christ said that while he was the son of god, we ALL are the sons of god.”
No He didn’t and don’t waste your time looking for the quote because it’s not there.

That goes without saying. His name is Jesus.
“thereby, unless you are a pagan (which it sounds like you are), jesus was not god, or ‘A God’,

I see you’ve taken quite a bit of time today writing and rewriting to get into your screed just the right balance of arrogant condescension and seething homosexual histrionics. I have that effect on people, especially the Leftist gutter dwellers. Thank you for your time and effort and the all too short minute or two of entertainment.
I’m not going to waste a lot of your time explaining why you are wrong about everything, I know you don’t care but I would like to touch on one critical issue. If you should ever become serious about your spirituality…your soul that is then, there’s something you need to know. Jesus Christ is God incarnate. There’s no other way to read Him. If you’d spent a little time in the Old Testament you’d be prepared to understand that just as so many first century Jews were ready, including his all fundamentalist Jew team of messengers. If you’d spent a little time in the New Testament instead of farting around with Hindu/Gnostic/Voodoo you might be given to understand why He must be God or else just another Jewish mystic with a messiah complex.
Here’s another right wing nutcase who puts it rather well and in so doing denies you the option of claiming Jesus was just a good “man”.
‘There is no halfway house and there is no parallel in other religions. If you had gone to Buddha and said ‘Are you the son of Bramah?’ he would have said ‘My son, you are still in the veil of illusion’. If you had gone to Socrates and asked, ‘Are you Zeus’ he would have laughed at you. If you had gone to Mohammed and asked ‘Are you Allah?’ he would first have rent his clothes and then cut your head off. If you had asked Confucius ‘Are you heaven?’ I think he would probably have replied, ‘Remarks which are not in accordance with nature are in bad taste.’ The idea of a great moral teacher saying what Christ said is out of the question. In my opinion, the only person who can say that sort of thing is either God or a complete lunatic suffering from that form of delusion which undermines the whole mind of man. If you think you are a poached egg, when you are not looking for a piece of toast to suit you, you may be sane, but if you think you are God, there is no chance for you. We may note in passing that He was never regarded as a mere moral teacher. He did not produce that effect on any of the people who actually met Him. He produced mainly three effects — Hatred — Terror — Adoration. There was no trace of people expressing mild approval.’
C.S. Lewis
One more thing, you are not now nor have you ever been a “Child of God”. You are a human being who is offered this position but no more than that. We are all in the same boat regardless of who we are, what we do or how well we live our life. If you refuse to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Son of God, The Creator of the Universe, God made man then you remain dead in your sin and therefore you are a Walking Dead Loser and nothing, not even God Himself can help you.

Please check links in #63 – Bush declared Katrina an “incident of national significance” by operation of law when he signed the emergency declarations on the 27th, so why is Chertoff doing the same thing on the 30th? I know factually you are correct, but your statement also implies that Katrina was not an incident of national significance until the 30th, which does not appear to be true.
“I think IRI is having a melt down.”
He came melted down, we’re just showing him that under the meltdown is a loser who’s even more lost than he thought his own represeed guilt and self hate were aware.
It must be sad when the hindu knows more about christianity and is better able to quote scripture and ideas than the supposed christian. But then again, if he were an actual christian, he would be such a stupid idiot…
And so sexually repressed – have you noticed how despite the fact we talk about politics, economics and religion, virtually everything he says to me is fixated on sex? I think he has a crush on me, but then again a repressed gay man (or pedophile, it’s hard to tell with him what he’s repressing) like him must be drawn to the truth at some level, even if he hates it. I’m not surprised he’s such a pscyhotic – and that he fixates on this is. That’s typical of men in his place, and certainly explains why in his mid 30s in texas he’s still single. You’re either a steer or a queer at that age as a single man in texas…
September 18th, 2005 at 11:59 pm“comments by “the gay guy†and the Christonazi AKA iRi”
Well nazis like you have always been homophobic, that’s why you put thousands of gay men in lesbians and gassed them. I see your generation of christonazis still holds the values of LeoStrauss in your NeoCon version of fascism…
“I doubt that you’d heard of him before I tuned you in to him. He’s brilliant.”
Tuned, is that what you call it? Brilliant, there’s no such thing in the christian rightwing ‘philosophers’. Like you, they’re all lost twadlers that speak gibberish, and distort facts to justify their ignorant bigotry… I’m always amazed at how idiots like you follow schmucks like this so easily. He’s part of the same idiotic catholic right wing cult movement that Mel Gibson’s father (and Mel) belong to that believe the second vatican was ‘too liberal’. You guys are all just morons following a brainwashed old queen in velvet…
“Hating evil is a prerequisite for salvation, tolerance of evil is evil and as I said before, bigotry can be positive as there are some people who do not deserve equal treatment under law or any other way. You’re one of them.”
But you don’t hate evil, you hate ‘liberals’. Evil is an action, people are always a combination of both good and evil. Jesus taught that you must love and forgive all those that transgress against you, the only forgiveness I’ve seen you have is toward yourself. To everyone else you disagree with, you’re a hateful, vengeful ahole – and entirely unchristian… If you’re gonna practice the religion, do yourself a favor and at least learn its basic tenets. You’re like a car owner who’s never read the manual – what a loser!
““First of all, christ said that while he was the son of god, we ALL are the sons of god.â€
No He didn’t and don’t waste your time looking for the quote because it’s not there.”
You should read the gnostic gospels that the catholic church had removed from the doctrine. They say exactly that. Just because you are ignorant of this, doesn’t mean it does not exist – but merely you’ve once again been duped by those that prefer to enslave you than enlighten you…
““He also said there’s only one creator -â€
That goes without saying. His name is Jesus.”
Not true – he says its his father. If you believe a baby who couldn’t talk was also running the world, then you’re a blithering idiot. He says he is NOT god, don’t you read anything in the bible? God you’re a miserable excuse for a christian.
“All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”
So that means that he’s not god because he’s clearly stating he’s sent by his father, and can and will only do the will of his father and not himself. This also clearly indicates that if you believe he is a god, you now believe in a pagan pantheon…
“I see you’ve taken quite a bit of time today writing and rewriting to get into your screed just the right balance of arrogant condescension and seething homosexual histrionics. I have that effect on people, especially the Leftist gutter dwellers. Thank you for your time and effort and the all too short minute or two of entertainment.”
Actuall I wrote that at the top of my head as I write all of my responses. You think way too much of yourself, I don’t even proof what I write, because frankly you aren’t worth that degree of effort. I figure as long as I’ve gotten my point across to others who are smart (unlike you), I’ve done my job…
Histrionics? I’m pointing out logic and scriptures, your response of always bringing up sexuality is clearly the case of histrionics. Look up ‘anxious masculinity’ sometimes, you clearly don’t feel masculine enough in your identity. Considering what a wimpy idiot you are who prefers to bash people and as you stated ‘prefers to punish them’, you clearly have self worth issues that are unresolved…
“I’m not going to waste a lot of your time explaining why you are wrong about everything, I know you don’t care but I would like to touch on one critical issue.”
That’s because you can’t, because you’re wrong. See I attended seminary and studied comparitive religion for a while, and I know more about christianity than you clearly do.
” If you should ever become serious about your spirituality…your soul that is then, there’s something you need to know. Jesus Christ is God incarnate. ”
If you’re ever serious about your faith, you’ll realize that we ALL are god incarnate. If there was nothing before god, he therefore created us out of himself, which means the Jesus stories where he says that god is in all things is the most hindu and most clear reference to this in christianity…
“There’s no other way to read Him.”
Sure there is. That he was a prophet, who went to india and encountered a religion superior to that of his own, and he brought a version of that religion combined with his own into judea. See I read him through a historical and a comparative religion as a man of reason and understanding that in fact there were lots of religions, and the vedic style of christ and the new testaments were a complete departure from the old testament, yet they were completely traditional in hinduism..
” If you’d spent a little time in the Old Testament you’d be prepared to understand that just as so many first century Jews were ready, including his all fundamentalist Jew team of messengers. If you’d spent a little time in the New Testament instead of farting around with Hindu/Gnostic/Voodoo you might be given to understand why He must be God or else just another Jewish mystic with a messiah complex.”
Actually I’ve read all of those, including the talmud. I’ve also read mesopotamian myths that have survived including the Avesta from the Zoroastrians which serves as a foundation of Judaism combined of course with the cult of Amun (the egyptian cult of the one god). Modern christianity formulates the trinity from the similar construction of Horace and Osiris…
And judaism itself worshiped the goddess Ashera until moses removed her from the pantheon to consolidate power away from jewish priestesses (women) and after his experience as a macho egyptian nobleman. The religion was ‘cleansed’, and the only thing that remains of Ashera are brief references to her and ‘worshiping on the mountain, the practice of the priestess’ and the prohibitions to doing so. The creation myth of eden comes from the meso. valley, and in fact is a valley north of that valley that has been identified by geography buffs. It’s a valley with a microclimate described in genesis, and the rivers that surround it are still named the same even though the locals didn’t know it as eden. As for the flood, flood myths were also common in the valley because it floods and to their mindset that IS the world… You confuse the mythology and simplistic understanding of a primitive people with the immutable word of ‘god’. It’s silly how someone who claims to be an educated and modern person could be so blind and so stupid – yet here you are for the world to see…
“Here’s another right wing nutcase who puts it rather well and in so doing denies you the option of claiming Jesus was just a good “manâ€.”
Actually he was a profoundly enlightened man – a good man takes care of the sick and needy. You are neither…
“‘There is no halfway house and there is no parallel in other religions. If you had gone to Buddha and said ‘Are you the son of Bramah?’ he would have said ‘My son, you are still in the veil of illusion’.”
You really are as stupid as I thought. I suggest you look at the pagan origins of the jesus myth. Hercules was in fact an early jesus, and he was immaculately conceived by Zeus. Clearly you know even less than I’d imagined.
Here’s a site for those less stupid than this ‘texas dumb’ individual on the pagan origins of the jesus myth.
http://home.earthlink.net/~pgwhacker/ChristianOrigins/
” If you had gone to Socrates and asked, ‘Are you Zeus’ he would have laughed at you.”
And yet, if you had asked Hercules he would have said yes. Julius Caesar claimed to be the son of Venus…
” If you had gone to Mohammed and asked ‘Are you Allah?’ he would first have rent his clothes and then cut your head off.”
That’s because islam actually believes in only one god – they see christ as a prophet…
” If you had asked Confucius ‘Are you heaven?’ I think he would probably have replied, ‘Remarks which are not in accordance with nature are in bad taste.’”
“In my opinion, the only person who can say that sort of thing is either God or a complete lunatic suffering from that form of delusion which undermines the whole mind of man. Actually anyone with a moderately functioning brain can sort it out, but people drawn to religious fanaticism like you don’t seem to have functioning brains. Religion is mythology, which is useful in teaching lessons, and expressing cultural ideals. When people see it purely as a rigid, literal and in stone truth of the ages, they become stupid zealots who will kill their neighbors to maintain their delusions. That would be you…
“One more thing, you are not now nor have you ever been a “Child of Godâ€.”
And yet, you neither have the wisdom or understanding to determine that. Clearly you are a lost soul, and I doubt you will find your way in this lifetime, but I hope you are not always lost…
” You are a human being who is offered this position but no more than that.”
Sure I am. I am stardust. I am a manifestation of consciousness. I am part of a collective consciousness. I look inwards, and I see god – what do you see? I neither feel alone, or unloved, but clearly you feel both. You say I’m on the wrong path, and yet I have complete satisfaction, confidence and happiness with that path – you seem frustrated unhappy and quite a bit delusional. I’d say my path seems much better to me…
” We are all in the same boat regardless of who we are, what we do or how well we live our life. If you refuse to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Son of God, The Creator of the Universe, God made man then you remain dead in your sin and therefore you are a Walking Dead Loser and nothing, not even God Himself can help you.”

I remembered this reference was in the gnostic texts, but I also thought I remembered this was in the new testament as well. You claim it isn’t there, and I shouldn’t waste my time, yet here it is. Once again you’re wrong, and my god, I once again know more about christianity than the man who has set himself up as the arbiter of my soul. Clearly I’m more capable and suited to this than you are, so it’s obvious you’re a clueless nitwit. A self described hindu has once again demonstrated a more precise and awareness of your own religion than you possess! Wow that must be soul defeating for you. You need to do better – you’re a crap christian!
John 3: 2-3: “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.”
I know I’m like him, and therefore I’ll be purified according to this text. You by contrast that don’t recognize your own ‘christlike’ self and your own divinity by contrast is impure. How ironic that hinduism has made me a better christian than christianity has made you :)

It just gets better and better. Actually it’s pretty horrifying considering what you’re doing to yourself. But nice work, you’ve made a religion suitable for “the world”. Now all you’ve got to do is get The Creator of the Universe to go along with you.
Just out of curiosity, what seminary did you attend?

And how do you know what I’m doing to myself? I assume you’re yet again fixated on my sexual habits, or what you fantasize those might be…
And your only response to me destroying every preconception and even quoting scripture that disproves your basic premise is to say something nonsensical about getting the creator of the world go along with is the best you can do? LOSER!
As for what seminary I attended – that’s clearly not relevant is it? The fact is I whooped your butt and showed you’re a blithering idiot who doesn’t even know his own religion.
For those of you who don’t know why mr loser asked me what seminary I attended – here’s the situation. The right wing has a pattern of asking you for your source, your school, or your ‘group’. Once identified, they then say, well because you belong to that group you can’t be trusted, so I’ll ignore your facts. It’s part of the filtering psychosis – how sad it is they don’t feel smart enough to actually look at the raw facts without such filtering. But then again, they’re lazy slugs as a whole, so why is this any different?
