Of course once is more than enough for Rove and what he plans. I posted this earlier but still relevant:
It was pure Rove
The table has been set with mouthing a “liberal†rebuilding of the Gulf Coast. But…
It will be pure GOP; free enterprise zones, tax “rebatesâ€, wage freeze, corporate welfare, and if you act now we will throw in…
Now we all know karl and his disease spreading ways. So, do you think he will package all the above in such a way that guarantees that Dems will say “no f**king way†and vote against it? Of course he will…
Do we all remember the 2002 mid-term? Well I do, and I remember the packages that were sent to congress was full of GOP rot. Like the provision of gutting the federal employee unions. Remember the Dems that voted against their puss filled legislation? Of course not, because the skels killed them on “traitor voted against America†and they were voted out of office. So, let us fast forward to 2006…
Commercial of GOP targeting a Dem running for re-election, backdrop of NO with body floating in background “Congresswoman Liberal voted against helping American relief and rebuilding efforts, do you really want Congresswoman Liberal to be voting when you need help†Paid for by the bloated puss bags who just gang raped your daughter…
He is allowing us to hang ourselves, and with our current leadership it will probably work.
One of the more transparent aspects of President Bush’s speech from New Orleans last night was its cynical outreach to African-Americans. Trying to break the stereotype of his administration and his party as modern day Confederates, Bush spoke eloquently of race and poverty in the Katrina disaster. Unfortunately, Bush’s makeover as born-again racial healer simply isn’t credible, given his own penchant for racial stereotypes…
I guess those were just throwaways — like the Manned Mission to Mars and Steroid Abuse. If phrases don’t play the first time on-stage, he just drops them from the act.
Why anyone would think that it would have been mentioned again absolutely astounds me. We all saw and heard with our own ears the true bush philosophy and ethic when barbara displayed it all for the world to see and hear.
Is there anything that would have removed the last doubt about it? All I can think of is if she had stated that we could have even made it better for “them” if we could only have assigned all those poor folk to some of our wealthier citizens so that they could have removed the federal governments’ need and thus detract us from the war on terror! billjpa@aol.com
Karl Rove has done an excellent job in promoting GWB as an “ordinary” guy, one you could have a real neighborly conversation with, and find common ground.
Bush is even more out of touch than was his father. He was born extremely wealthy, never had to earn a grade or a job; he doesn’t care about us, he doesn’t know about us, he doesn’t want to know about us. He cloisters himself with sycophants and friends who hold the same philosophy and ideology. He is insulated and uncurious. The antithesis of a good leader.
Marie, your assessement the President is a good analyis of this guy’s character. Without all the rhetoric and name calling you have hit the nail on the head in an honest assessment. I would add that he also suffers from depression which often accompanies former drunks who did not get professional help for their problem. He also has an extremely limited intellectual ability and a Napeleon Complex, which is easily seen in his limited, one-sided news conferences. His intelligence level is low and he rarely reads, which is why he stumbles over the words in the prepared scripts prepared by whitehouse staffers.
Bush is out of touch with average Americans. He only seems to have a connect with what is going on in the real world when he is confronted, not before, but only after a disaster strikes.
Joe Biden,
You really are a grandstanding blowhard, you know that? You have mastered the art of looking serious and concerned while at the same time speaking the language of Joe Sixpack. Why don’t you stop pretending to be a liberal and just switch to the GOP and run for the nomination? Or get a job as a permanent guest on Imus, where you can go on & on all you want.
And by the way, can you explain to me why you voted against a ceiling of 30% on interest rates for the credit card companies? What possible justification could you have?
Bush- “poverty, what is that? Does that mean their summer home is only 3 bedrooms?”

Keller will make sure we never forget about that one reasonable statement made by Bush.
Will Keller make sure the President follows up on this horrible legacy with real actions? NO.

Add to #7, I don’t think his words are sincere, but they were in the speech for reasons of self-interest.

September 18th, 2005 at 10:39 amThe real priority here is the credit card companies not all this junk about the underclass.
I agree with Bill Clinton and the DLC. We really need to show the American people that we won’t make waves.
Listen, I really like these guys. Alberto, and now John Roberts, great, really smart guys.
Excuse me, some rich guy has reminded me I have to get back to work. I love being in show biz.
