This is the most irresponsible government EVER.

  2. afterthought says:

So when all is said and done was the
    conservation movement just about stealing
money directly and by reverse Robinhood?

  3. Jay says:

afterthought….as you well know, there’s more than one way to skin a cat. :0

  4. afterthought says:

and thus all based on deceit.
I mean, I know this, but somehow
it seems lika a betrayal at so
many levels (pick any you believe in):

    American exceptionalism
    Chistianity
    Democracy

    Obviously players like Rove, Norquist,
and Delay get this, but that any portion
of people still go alone is still pretty
    strange.

  5. Mary Poppin says:

When I read this my jaw just dropped. Is Delay loony in the head. We don’t need another tax cut.
This is what we should do.
    1. Repeal the tax cuts.
    2. Bring our troops home so we will have money for the
    disaster in LA,Miss and AL.
    3. Repeal all the pork in the energy and
    transportation bill.
    4. Don’t give anymore money to other
    countries.
    5. Take back the money Delay put in which was
    not approved by the commitee.

Does anyone know what happen to the money that other countries gave?

  6. afterthought says:

Mary, That is clearly what we should do,
which exactly why it won’t be done.

  7. Brian says:

He wants to launder $$ to his friends so they’ll take care of him when he gets out of prison.

  8. Marie says:

These guys have no shame. They are bold because they have power – for now – and they can reward their loyalists, but the end is coming. To use Cheney’s phrase – they are “in their last throes.”

  9. Jeff says:

This unethical, immoral, criminal bug killer needs to go away; the activities of his cronies and his PACs are finally being exposed with indictments coming out weekly (or so it seems)with Jail time soon to follow.

  10. afterthought says:

    Not so sure Marie.
Rove has an awfully large amount
of money to buy loyalty from
    corporate interests and wing-nuts.

  11. afterthought says:

    fox will keep the non-reality-based
    people confused forever.

  12. David B says:

And yet another compassionate conservative republican speaks up. “What me sacrifice? I need more of everything.” Its the party of “ME” (GOP) at their finast.

  13. Andrew says:

We’ll see how he reacts when Rita floods Houston.

  14. Ryan Neat says:

    afterthought,

My favorite part about Fox, is that almost 10 percent of it is owned by the saudi government (actually a saudi prince, but that’s the same thing). No wonder they’re so fascist – it’s one dictator propping up another… The good old boys network of fanatics and freaks…

  15. wisedup says:

time for bushie to take a vacation to HOUSTON!…sick-em Rita…

  16. Marie says:

I know very well that you may be entirely right in your evaluation of the situation. I indulge in thinking (hoping) that their reign of witches is coming to an end, and the American people will no longer bebamboozled by Bush, Cheny, Rove & Company, but I also know that money can buy anything and that’s one asset they have lots of — they will spend every thing to spread lies, false hopes, empty promises just as in the past – I hope they spend themselves into bankruptcy and then lose elections anyway.

  17. Randy says:

The only person in this country who is trying to help the people of the gulf coast is George Bush. The media, liberals, democrats, everyone on the left are all trying to take him down. He has accepted blame for the situation but he is helping. The media has just started to probe who really is at fault here and when they do, you’ll see all of the democrats scurry like the rats they are to avoid blame. Apparently, Bush could walk on water and it would not appease you.

  18. afterthought says:

So Randy, you are also calling
    for an independent investigation?
    Chip fall where they may?
    Good for you.
Maybe you should talk to fearless leader
Chimpy as he seems to be against it.
    I wonder why?

  19. afterthought says:

Oh, and hasn’t Rove already done
    a walking on water photo-op?

  20. kindness says:

What DeLay did say that wasn’t quoted was that “he expects all the ingrates making less than $60 thou a year to pay more so those making more than $250 thou a year to get it ALL BACK. Damn INGRATES!!!!”

  21. afterthought says:

    Greed. Simple greed.
No higher purpose, no creating a greater
    good, just greed.

  22. Impeach Bush says:

Where are you at NED? All I can say to you is $8 trillion dollar deficit and counting. And nutsacks you like you are only too happy to help this corrupt regime make it $9 just as fast as they can. Defend that you pussy!

  23. progressive and proud says:

Get a load of that crazy troll, Randy. There is no way he believes the crap he is saying. No one can be so blind.

Yes, Randy, the “left” right wing corporate owned media. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Enough of the brainwashed already.

  24. Ryan Neat says:

We all know how left wing Time Warner and NewsCorp are… The myth of a left wing media is right up there with the one about republicans being good with the economy. They’re nothing but a propagandist reversal of the truth that the fascists of a previous generation taught the new guys… Distort, disable and control the press so you keep people from having truthful information while you mount a right wing takeover of government. The NeoCons learned from their Nazi Mentor Leo Strauss well… They’ve created a modern american fascist movement that’s so ill informed and stupid it isn’t even aware that it’s fascist! Now that takes balls at least, even if they’re attached to a psychotic beast…

  25. Sharon Cox says:

Ryan #14, could that be the same Saudi prince Bush was holding hands with in the texas garden a couple of month’s ago.? Is it also the same one who, along with his wife supported terrorists against us and some of the same one’s that flew out of our country right after 9/11.? No questions asked.? Surely Bush woulden’t do that would he.? Damn streight he would and did…..Blessings

  26. hotfroggy+ says:

welcome to saudi america! yes, bush and hit con-men have been in tight with these guys for over 40 years!who do you think showed them how to torture and shock and awe? if bushs brain was dynamite, he wouldn’t have enough to blow his nose!

  27. Sharon Cox says:

Very good hotfroggy+, that is a cute visual, I can just imagine. I knew that, yah I did. Bandar Bush also comes to mind….Blessings

  28. Ryan Neat says:

The investor in news corp is

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is the investor in news corp, and bush’s date was Crown Prince Abdullah. I don’t have the family relationship between these two men other than that they’re related. Apparently the investment is so high in news corp that murdoch had to institute a poison pill to prevent the prince from a full outright takeover. Be careful holding a saudi prince’s hand, you don’t know what you’ll have to kiss before you’re done ;)

“The only person in this country who is trying to help the people of the gulf coast is George Bush.”

    Wrong.

“The media, liberals, democrats, everyone on the left are all trying to take him down.”

    You’re goddamn right!

“He has accepted blame for the situation but he is helping.”

If he accepts the blame, then he needs to resign, for all of the deaths he caused by staying on vacation.

“The media has just started to probe who really is at fault here and when they do, you’ll see all of the democrats scurry like the rats they are to avoid blame.”

Ahhh yes, the media is investigating. It’s about goddamn time they investigated something. Lazt right wing talking point zombies.

“Apparently, Bush could walk on water and it would not appease you.”

If I see Bush walk on water, then I know he is the anti-christ. That is what the bible says. Pick it up and read. Quite an amusing story.

  30. Sharon Cox says:

Right again Ryan, may I add, all things are relative, or in this case all Bushes palls are relatives…Blessings

  31. Marie says:

#29 Spudge-boy you took the words right out of my keyboard!

  32. Ryan Neat says:

Here are more scams from the most corrupt presidency in american history.

    1) Bush stops affirmitive action for katrina contractors. One of the largest displacements of poor african americans in our history, and he chooses to attack them when they’re down. Despicable!

    http://www.truthout.org/docs_2005/092005J.shtml

    2) Bush undermines education dollars with school privatization measures which redirect these evacuees into religious schools

    http://www.truthout.org/docs_2005/092005K.shtml

These guys just keep astonishing me with their level of absolute absurdity!

  33. Ellis says:

    17. “He [Bush] has accepted blame for the situation …”

I believe what he said was “to the extent that the [federal] government has made mistakes I take blame” (paraphrased but pretty close). That’s NOT the same as saying the government DID make mistakes. No mistakes, no blame in Georgie’s world.

Have you noticed the photo-ops of today showing the shrub in meetings to pre-plan Rita? I give credit to those who actually make it work if need be (and I pray Rita fizzles), but doubt that George added much. Hell, all he has to do is say “go” and the full resources of the feds are available. Also, Rita is headed to Texas as it now appears … we won’t get caught with our pants down in Texas. Different strokes …

  34. Ron says:

Seventy billion dollars is seventy million working Americans receiving a one thousand dollar tax break.

The ingrates could use that kind of break. They won’t get it, though, because they’re ingrates and need to be taught a lesson… by Tom Delay.

Remember, Republicans rule YOU! Get to work, you ungrateful slaves.

    Here come’s Rita.

  35. Ron says:

Here comes Rita. Corrected the punctuation error.

  36. Keith H. says:

    The 24th approaches.
Junior had better take another vacation, a permanent one, to hell.
