I am so glad that people (those with the desire for the truth) have seen that the FEMA (FEBLE) people told them not to use the buses because they were not air conditioned!

I’d say FEMA’s late response did a great job of once again leaving poor people to rot and blaming them for the mess when it’s clear they can’t get out. You republicans are a piece of work! You’re the stupidest and most heartless excuses for a human being on earth! You judge others, yet your evil actions and oppression put those people there in the first place. Curse you, you fool!

If you want to have any credibility, you need to blame Blanco and Nagin for incompetence and poor leadership. You can’t just blame everything on Bush. It wasn’t Bush’s job to evacuate the Desire project. That was Nagin’s job.

Not to mention it was black New Orleanians who turned the Superdome and the Convention Center into a ghetto in three days, not Bush.

It’s an easy explanation of why so many republicans are duped…

It’s the confidence man scam. Those republicans who are greedy (as most are) are given the promise of getting rich, big tax cuts, cutting crime by not codling the poor ‘black man’ and welfare queens while they kill any of them that are ‘dangerous’. And the promise the NeoCons to protect Israel at all costs. They’re scammed into believing that they’ll get their dreams, but in fact the core GOP is really about stealing them blind. It’s very much a scam.

Of course, Gov. Perry may also have learned from the experience with Hurricane Andrew, or Ivan, or Betsy, or Camille, or any number of hurricanes that seem to strike the US Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas pretty much this time every year going back as far as records have been kept. I know that seems far-fetched but it just might be the case.

One still has to wonder why Gov. Blanco seemed to never to have contemplated the possibility of a hurricane before the appearance or Katrina. I personally don’t think this is a democrat vs. republican or a liberal vs. conservative issue but rather one of competence vs. incompetence. Sadly, the citizens of La. have an incompetent for a governor and the citizens of New Oleans have a similar incompetent for a mayor.

This classic NeD comment shows us all his ignorance and his naive rushes to judgment. It looks like the spin started a little early, though. So, on a STATE level, Rita evacuees are stuck on the highway and running out of gas. You know, that IS a lesson.

See, troll, states are only able to do so much. We give the feds our money to help us when, at a state level, it is just too much to overcome. Your ignorance reestablishes why we vote the way we do. GOP is all smoke and mirrors. Eventually the smoke clears.

As we’re now seeing in the Houston area, this probably wasn’t that bad of an idea.
