Discrimination is a marvelous republican trait – and it is so consistently applied!

    What would Jesus do?

  3. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

Now we can open a preschool center for all the people who worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster. :-)

  4. Michael says:

There’s nothing wrong with making sure people who keep your kids are of the same religious affiliation. But I’m curious about the federal funds.

We will now witness the neo-cons grab as much turf as possible for the religious right voters so they can secure those votes in ‘06 and avoid issues such as overspending, deaths in Iraq, cuts of programs for the poor and tax cuts for the filty rich. The GOP has been and continues to remain focused on single issue voters…abortion and religion to retain their power base.

We can expect more and more federal money to flow to conservative religious organizations who exclude non-belivers. Even if the Dem’s wake up to kill or fight these efforts, the neo-cons can lay claim to having attempted to “bring religion back into American life, just as the founding fathers intended.” Lots of pay-dirt for keeping base voters.

Seperation of church (religous schools) and state (federal funding) just went out the window. Well, not just went out, but another big bloated hunk of it did.

  7. Ryan Neat says:

    Spudge,

Republicans are afraid that kids learn too much in a well funded public school system. They’re desperate to home school and religious school americans into ignorance and obedience to their twisted values…

  8. Beelzebub says:

Well, that about wraps things up. I think my work here is done!

  9. Spudge-Boy says:

You got that right Ryan. If their kids go to pulic schools the might be more inclined to be free thinker. You know the kind of people that question the government and dissent against their facist totalitarian ways.

I know this to be a fact. My daughter went to a church school against my requests that she didn’t. She is now a very confused 17 year old. She was taught how to be a good republican robot at the school. The problem is her dad keeps showing her facts about how things really are. She doesn’t know how to handle the fact that her school lied to her for so many years. I will pull her back from the dark side. She is almost there.

    Spudge,

You have my well wishes. I have similar people in my life – it’s very difficult to bring them back once they’ve been brainwashed…

  11. Spudge-Boy says:

    Thanks Ryan,

Luckily, my girlfriends daughter who I have been raising as my own for eight years now is pretty dang in tune with what is going on and she is only ten.

She had a school project that was “What Freedom Means to Me” The students were supposed to use each letter of “Freedom” to show what it means to them. Where most kids put “Riding my bike” or “Roller skating” for R, Lydia put down something that literally brought a tear to my eye.

    She put down “Rights”

I asked her if she understood what rights meant and she said that it meant the right to talk to who she wants, to read what she wants and to go where she wants.

For a ten year old, that is pretty dang good, I think.

  12. Ryan Neat says:

Spudge – you’ve done good! You both should be proud!

  13. Conservative Child says:

Freedom means to me; the right to control others, make them do my work, make them fight my battles, make me rich and pass it on tax free to my children, and in the end, make them wipe up after me in the old folks home for minimum wage.

  15. Susan O says:

Why should organizations that do not have to pay taxes be permitted to reap the rewards of taxes paid by all Americans and then also have the right to determine which of those Americans shall be deemed worthy to receive their “generosity?”

  16. SpudgeBoy says:

    That hsa to be sarcasm.

    #15

No they shouldn’t. “The Church” needs to start paying their goddamn dues like the reat of us. Especially if they want to be involved in politics and policy.

    Bastards.

  17. Ryan Neat says:

The catholic church is the worlds largest corporation. Now that they’re getting government handouts, they should have to pay taxes just like any corporation.
