I love the comments calling the pro-Bush demonstrators a "hate-fest". I wasn't at either rallies. However, I see more hate-filled comments coming from the anti-war folks than from the right wing. When Clinton was president, the right wingers called him some bad names and all, but nothing like the hatred that spews from the left. Clinton went to Congress to ask for this same war. However, Congress did not back him, as it was pre-911. If this war makes Bush a murderer, then doesn't it also make Clinton an attempted murderer?

I guarantee if Al Gore had won, and we ended up in this same war, there would not have been even a thousand protestors. Because you people are not anti-war. Just anti Republican.

Since I actually have a life, I didn't have time to make it to either rally. And I live just outside of DC.

Bahaha, I can get it whenever I want - but good for you, how was gannon? I've he raised his price, is that true?

I had to wake up take a dump, so I figured I'd take out the trash while i was up... How's life in fascist land...

So lets recap the headline!

That’s what republicans trolls do, distract from the truth so they don’t have to face it.

Actually I checked capacity. The elipse can hold almost 500k (more like 400k). If you measure the amount in the elipse, plus the amount on the roads, then they clearly filled the elipse. Then when you consider that multiple sources report that the elipse was overfilled, clearly the 500k is more like the actual amount that showed up…

Hi there commys. Why is it you hate Charles Johnson so dearly. Is it because Charles is a genuis? Or is it because he has a very succesful blog which is very influential and quoted on television shows such as Fox and Frends? Attack Charles Johnson all you want. It doesn't matter anyway. Charles is about to launch pajamasmedia and become a powerhouse in the media. He will be impervius to you're slings and arrows. So seethe away LLL commys. GAZE.

It's not one poll, idiot. Actually there were FIVE polls by Gallup that showed less than 40% approved of Clinton's job (with dozens in the low 40's) and EIGHT polls by Gallup that showed more than 50% dissapproved. And they are not all from the same time frame as your polls that cannot be used to analyze trends. Remember that Gallup has been the standard for presidential approval ratings for the past 50-70 years. Try again dumbass.

And yet the two polls (ABC and Gallup) were taken the same month.

Once again facts show that a Republican preconception is not bounded in either science, methodology or facts.

So you say that the american public 'don't hate bush', but the more important question is do they hate his leadership and do they hate his handling of key issues. And what is the answer to those questions? A resounding - he sucks!

Buzzzz you lose LOSER!

My irrational logic? You found ONE POLL in one month that showed him below 40 percent? It proves NOTHING! And clearly neither do you. When you apply logic yourself, I'll feel you're more qualified to judge others. Until then, you're just another stupid apologist who refuses to look at the fact that your president and his policies are severely unpopular despite the corporate propaganda machine that props him up. I doubt he'd have single digit popularity if it weren't for the faux news spewed daily from his apologists in the media!

I submit that Americans don't hate Bush, just angy lefties like Ry.

Ry, here's your flaw. The Gallup takes a poll every few weeks, while your ABC poll happens irregularly (like once a year!). You say Bush polls like Nixon but how can you do a comparison analysis when you just take figures from different polls asking different questions. You can't. How can you show trends and relationships with irregular and random (how bout hand-picked) data. You can't. Your next mistake was calling the Gallup polls a lie (actually you called ME a liar) which I posted to give some historical perspective on presidential polls, not to discredit your Zogby poll, and to refute your claim that "Americans hate Bush, they poll like Nixon in Watergate". The Gallup poll shows that all presidents in the past 50 years have had very unfavorable polls - even worse than GWB. Prof. Franklin, using the data I referenced, validated my position. You at least need to show that your polls are asking similar questions of Nixon and Bush voters to make a legitimate comparison - which Gallup did and ABC/Zogby etc didn't. Instead you chose to berate me. Another mistake was using a less accurate poll (ABC once a year, irregular) to claim that a more accurate poll (regular almost bi-monthly) asking similar questions was unacceptable. Then you exhibited your usual b.s. by claiming you did some "research" that says the Gallup should be discarded. Your hysteria and paranoia took over and your posts digressed to name calling tyraids. Now you backpeddle and specify "on some tasks" Americans hate Bush, but otherwise he's not doing a whole lot worse (maybe even better) on public opinion than Clinton, Reagan, Truman or Nixon experienced. You're a joke, Ry, and a phony. I suggest that when you get to college you enroll in a statistics class and try using your irrational logic. You'll get lots of laughs...Bwa-hahahahahahah.

i was there. been to a lot of protests in my day. this was among the largest. the march alone took about 4 or 5 hours to complete. the wide streets were jammed with people the whole way. once we got to the monument & free concert, people spread out as far as you could see. they said it was about 300K. had to be more like half a million at least. saw the rebuplicans there too - really were no more than 40 or 50 of them, mostly all on one block.

most noteable to me was that there were FAR, far less cops in dc than there were in nyc for the rnc last year. i was expecting much worse. but dc cops were very hands-off. for that, im grateful.

"I find it interesting how we got so far off the original topic. I’ve noticed most of you are ignoring the fact that even the larger un-cropped picture still dosen’t even come close to the 300,000 estimate you are throwing out."

More Republican values at work. Why does Tom DeLay hate America so much?

AP: "A Texas grand jury's recent interest in conspiracy charges could lead to last-minute criminal indictments _ possibly against House Majority Leader Tom DeLay _ as it wraps up its investigation Wednesday into DeLay's state political organization, according to lawyers with knowledge of the case. Conspiracy counts against two DeLay associates this month raised concerns with DeLay's lawyers, who fear the chances are greater that the majority leader could be charged with being part of the conspiracy. Before these counts, the investigation was more narrowly focused on the state election code."
