It is true … this is indeed a happy, happy day! There will be dancing in the streets over this news! Halleluia!

  2. Andrew says:

Even if nothing ever comes of it he’ll have to step down as majority leader until its cleared up which could take a year or more.

I hope lady justice takes a big bite out of him. It’s time he and his thugs get taken down a notch!

  3. Theresa says:

    Yee Haw…

This is an invitation across the nation
A chance for folks to meet
There’ll be swinging, swaying and music playing
    And dancing in the street
Philadelphia PA (dancing in the streets)
Baltimore and DC now (dancing in the streets)
Can’t forget the Motor City (dancing in the streets)

  4. SpudgeBoy says:

Like dominos, they are coming down. This just keeps getting better every day.

Where the hell are those damn trolls to tell us that this is Bill Clinton’s fault.

  5. kindness says:

I’ll be happier when the jury convicts him. Let’s all hope they don’t start throwing around those blank checks to the jury. I’d hate to see that miscarrige of justice.

Think my boss would mind if I had a bottle of champagne for lunch?

  7. wisedup says:

BINGO!!!!! 1 down and many to go…….wheeeeeeeee

  8. Jon says:

As Delay himself said in his own defense, “people hate the messenger. That’s why they killed Christ.”

The similarities between Tom and Jesus are striking…

  9. Keith H. says:

    Yesss!!! How sweet it is!!

  10. Zippy the Other Pinhead says:

Can’t wait to see DeLay’s “Jimmy Swaggart” moment — him bowing down tearfully at Rove’s feet, blubbering “I have sinned against you, my god!!!”

Good riddance. And take yer cronies in all three branches of this so-called government with you to the pokey.

  11. Ron says:

The so-called ‘Republican’ Tom DeLay gets indicted and Lyndie England gets ten years.

    There is justice in America.

The only real harm they can do to Tommy is to take his money away from him. He hasn’t been selling pot on the street, so he’ll be able to keep it all.

He’s laughing all the way to the bank at the stupid murkans who buy the bs the government feeds them everyday.

“America is great as long as it is good.” – Charles Krauthammer, slippery, detestable, despicable slimey neocon

America is no longer any good, it is hardly great anymore.

more crooks and liars in government than there are prisoners working for Unicor.

That is where the so-called leaders of the once great republic belong.

    It’s a Nice start.

  15. Mikey says:

Somewhat amusingly, at the bottom of the MSNBC page there’s a link to an article on assisted suicide. This might come in handy for the GOP.

  16. Elvis says:

Come on NED, lets hear it.

  17. Elvis says:

Come on NED, lets here it.

  18. Ryan Neat says:

As I posted before, JesusW believes he’s god, or ordained by god, or who knows what – but whatever it is, he’ll probably just pardon delay. One crook protects another crook. The only way this will ever work is to indict them ALL, including bush and cheney!

  19. Ryan Neat says:

NED is embarrassed, because he’s probably so stupid that he thought the charges were all false. What a maroon…

  20. Say No To Trolls says:

A troll free thread! Sure! They win elections, and go straight to jail! Do not pass go, and give all that money back!

  21. Ron says:

Here’s that web site they’re talking about on the propaganda MSM.

  22. Andrew says:

Among those reportedly contributing to Texans for a Republican Majority are:

SEARS, ROEBUCK & CO; and the CRACKER BARREL Resturaunt Chain.

  23. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

    Ooooo baby! There is a god. :-) :-) :-)

  24. Punchy says:

honest question–can preznit bush PARDON delay if convicted? anyone a lawyer?

  25. Pablo in Mexico says:

Absolutely Bush can pardon DeLay, but not until he is convicted. He cannot step now though.

The pukes money will be flying everywhere, expecially down in Texas. DeLay will have the best jury that money can buy.

Abramoff is not going to go down alone, he will take DeLay with him, and maybe even the RNC.

  26. Ryan Neat says:

And when do we get to see JeezassW indicted on conspiracy for invading Iraq? Or Rove and Bolton for outing Plame? There’s enough conspiracy going on in this administration to make a conspiracy theorist look normal!

  27. Tom Allen says:

Actually, as some of us older than dirt do in fact recall, Bush could pardon DeLay, just as Ford pardoned Nixon, before conviction. And if you want a more recent example, look to Kentucky, where Governor Ernie Fletcher (R) pardoned: nine current and former officials who have been indicted along with anyone who “might … be charged.” http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/12507804.htm
although he modestly has not pardoned himself.

Of course, if DeLay, why not Frist? And if Frist, why not Rove? And if … well, I’ll let you proceed by induction.

  28. Marie says:

This was a long time coming – savor it for a brief moment – it may not last.
Rove = revealing a CIA operative = treason
Bush and Cheney = illegal war based on lies = criminal
McClellan, Hughes, Card, Feith, Rice, Bolton, and Rumsfeld are only a few others who belong in front of a grand jury.
If this is the beginning of the massive crumbling, then we will all have reason to celebrate – if the weasels are able to weasel out of everything, we will be waiting a long time.

  29. Disillusioned says:

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

    Frist is next,
    then Rove,
then the repukes lose control of Congress and…
    IMPEACHMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    (Yeah right, in my dream…)

  30. Ryan Neat says:

    Disillusioned,

Remember civil rights started with a dream and a stubborn old woman! I say keep dreaming baby, and get mobilized!
