Another day -another pack of lies in D(eception) C(ity).
The president won’t even blink and the Republicans still have enough ill-gotten election money and enough Diebold voting machines that they don’t have to worry about staying in power. Delay can say and do anything because this just doesn’t matter. They will continue their corrupt agenda and we’ll be shocked for a couple of days but we’ll be busy looking a job or trying to feed our families or taking out loans to put gas in the car, fill the oil tank and pay medical bills. We have not heard one “oops” or “I”m Sorry” yet from this administration. And until enough of us stand up and speak out against the rape of America we’ll just keep getting more of the same.

Why does he keep saying that: just two weeks ago they told me they were not looking for an indictment on me; and then he says last week they called and said they were going to indict me. And that begs the point: he had a week to ready a response and the “It’s political and I’m innocent” is all he cold come up with. It sounds like he isn’t getting much help from Bush & Co. Where’s Karl?

I think DeLay has been so successful thus far, that he’s a cocky SOB who thinks he’s untouchable… that kind of arrogance leads many a powerful man to completely blow his ride by going too far… DeLay is guilty as hell, and may well have to end his political career, though jail time is doubtful… he’ll get some kind of fine that he can pay with his pocket change…
and, yes, there are plenty of companies who’ll line up to have him on as a lobbyist…

It’s called circumstantial evidence. If the prosecutor shows that Delay had such control over the organization that he must have known what was going on, the jury can convict. Delay’s statements in this interview can the prosecutor enough evidence, in my judgment (lawyer with 30 years’ experience) to take the case to a jury and avoid a directed verdict.

Trouble is the Repubs think they rule the USA.

Last time I checked, they do. If we don’t want corrupt creeps in office, starting wars and destroying the environment and nominating conservative judges for life, well, we ought to start winning some elections.

Think about that in 2006 and 2008. Give more. Work harder. Get one more person out to vote. Do someting. Quit being a victim and start being a victor.

Tommy boy was one of the motivators that caused me to finally leave that other party in August of last year. I figured out that he was crooked then, and don’t have any reason to think he isn’t now.

â€“ Juanita says that if you want to make sure Tom DeLay gets replaced by a human being, your best bet is to give money to Nick Lampson, who even with limited funding did credibly well against DeLay last year, considering that DeLay had that district drawn to his own personal satisfaction.

Lampson didn’t run against Delay last year. Richard Morrison did. And after Morrison showed that Delay is vulnerable by making a respectable showing, despite not having any support from the Democratic Party, Lampson and the Party machine shoved Morrison aside and took over the campaign. Lampson’s not a bad guy (he represented Beaumont in Congress for a couple of terms), but Morrison deserves the credit for taking on Delay when the pussies in the national Party were too scared to.

None of those things he stated actually explicitly indicate that he was a part of a conspiracy to commit a felony. He has to explicitly have known that a law would be broken. He could technically not have known that a law would be broken, and still have been organizing things. Now of course, that’s a load of ****, but it is technically possible he didn’t know exactly how his objectives would be accomplished. I have a friend in PA who works for an assisted care facility. About 18 mo ago, one of Delay’s staffers called her boss and said Delay wanted to give him a special award…that he would be given this award by the House…

The man was puzzled as to why the House would want to give him any award.

And was told that yes, absolutely the House wanted to honor this man for all the work he had done for the elderly.

Well, that seemed pretty amazing! And amazing it was….all he had to do to receive this “award” was to donate to Tom Delay’s PAC!!!

My friend who is a native Texan, living in PA, told the staffer to uh…well…take said “award” and stick it where the sun don’t shine.

This cr*p has been going on for a very long time under Mister Delay.
