Tipped off?

Right-wing group Progress for America has already launched an extensive website promoting Harriet Miers’ nomination.

  1. Andy says:

If asked, Scott McClellan will say “I talked with Libby and Rove and they have nothing to do with it.” Sounds familiar.

  2. Greg says:

    Wow. speedy little buggers, hmm?

  3. Marie says:

No doubt they got a heads up from shrub so they could get their engines started – before the skeletons in her closet as shrub’s attorney are discovered.

  4. Original Andrew says:

I thought maybe they had sites of the same ilk already built for the other potential nominees but i couldn’t find them so I’m guessing it was leaked to them.

This administration has no problem leaking information!

  5. Mike N. says:

This is blatant cronyism. Another Brownie… He should really find a nominee OUTSIDE of the White House.

  6. Bobo The Conservative Clown says:

They may have gotten the short list and reserved all the domains and prepped up the pages, like newspaper publishers used to do. A who is serch might reveal that all the possible short list domain names were reserved. I’d do it but I have to be in court in a few. No, I’m not the defendant or even the plaintiff in a civil case.

  7. Jennty says:

Well, think about this angle. With her being the ex council, there will be a lot of stuff they won’t turn over to congress because of “attourney Client privledge”. Rovius did a good job, a nobody with no real public record to speak of, loyalty to the shrub, she’s perfect for their plans.

  8. Bobo The Conservative Clown says:

OK, I lied. I’m a conservative. Of course I’m the defendant!

  9. Now That's Progress says:

Barbara Bush Next Supreme Court Nominee. Just Kidd

Perhaps not surprisingly, Bush’s new nominee for the Supreme Court is a woman and a Bush loyalist, White House Counsel Harriet Miers.

Not a lot to go on in her record in the early going, except for two things: she’s never been a judge at any level…

  10. Pablo in Mexico says:

Worst possible choice. As counsel for the shrub, nothing will be released.

She is a wingnut activist. Pro business, anti abortion and civil rights.

Headed the Texas lottery at one time. It fell in stature like a brick.

Supports everything the shrub says, and thinks he is an intelligent person. What does that say about her?

Oh, and she was in charge of covering up the shrubs national guard lack of service. She is an accomplished liar and partisan.

  11. Marie says:

She knows where the bodies are buried. She is Bush’s faithful lapdog – she thinks he’s brilliant — what does that say about her judgment?

  12. Luke Francl says:

According to a ‘whois’ search, this domain was registered September 29, 2005.

Did Progress for America get tipped off, or did they register the whole shortlist and get lucky (or both?). More digging is needed.
