But at least democracy is on the march in Iraq!! While we burn borrowed dollars (from other non-Iraq war supporting countries) American is becoming a third world country. The haves and the have nothings. What a wonderfully compassionate prez. The terrorists have won and bushco doesn’t even know it…. As promised, they have destroyed America, perhaps not by physical attack, but by destroying the spirt and hope of millions to have a good life and be sucessful and bushco was their agent of destruction.

How about we don’t build the “bridge to nowhere” in Alaska. How about cutting the other 5,999 pieces of pork in the transportation bill.
A long time ago when I was 19 or 20 I found myself with no home or job and I used food stamps to get by until the situation was fixed. If I didn’t have the food stamps, I would have starved.
How does somebody get a job or find a new house while they are starving?
Food stamps are a teensy tiny spec on the budget of this country and these jerks want to cut them.

Too busy, too lazy to do the research, who knows why this is true. Leaders should be insisting on cutting the pork from the energy bill.

Another off point thing is the request from Bush to use the guard and declare martial law with the guise he might need them if the pandemic does happen. Just a thought here folk’s but the way these nazis are they could create the pandemic and then control all the rest of us that survive with that very martial law. If any one of these things happen we will be unable to inpeach or anything else. Rove’s brain is working over time these day’s. These guy’s need to be jailed now….Blessings

Mary,In response to your diffrent posts, I agree we need to take back our country, but it is taking to long and a lot is going on that is preventing that process. Next who are we going to get to help us run it.? I don’t know about Feingold or any of the wannabees right now. We aren’t getting much from our own party these days, infact I think they are all on vacation. What’s with that.?.And finelly Bush wants to have the power to install martial law, at will, using the bird flu as the possible case for that.He asked for it today…..Blessings

It shouldn’t surprise anyone to think that he and his party would cut programs for the poor, the sick, the children and the elderly in order to advance the Republican agenda.
Poor people don’t count. Kanye West was right.

When the rich keep getting richer, and the poor keep getting poorer – that’s achieved through selfish exploitation and irresponsible cronyism and banana republic mismanagement! These kind of social injustices lead to revolutions, but then again the sort of people who exploit the poor tend to have no allegiance to country or people, and would simply try to ‘leave with their money’ if pressed. This is why they are usually so socially dangerous to civilizations… The ‘wealthy looters’, tend do to the irreparable harm to societies, not the poor ones…

October 5th, 2005 at 6:25 pmWe must not rescind tax cuts for the wealthiest 1%! Even with reconstruction of the Gulf coast, exploding deficits, war in Iraq and Afrghanistan and the need for social services, tax cuts are more important.

When people are desperate due to the cuts in program funding that Bush proposes, he will need an excuse to impose martial law. He’s already setting the stage for it with the anticipated bird flu pandemic.

Now, picture our streets full of desperate citizens and armed military troops who would have (up till now) been rejected for service.
