life without his satanic majesty…? unthinkable… even if he goes off the payroll, you can bet he’s still gonna be lurking in the background… bush has spent going on 30 years with rove whispering in his ear, he ain’t gonna do without him now… fercryinoutloud, bush gets a permission slip from condi when he has to go potty at the u.n., losing rove would be like, like… ummmm… losing his brain…? yeah, that’s it…!

  2. Dave says:

You guys need to cut and past at least some of the story into your Blog post for those of us that do not have subscriptions to your sources.

    Thanks

PS Woooo Hoooo (Ding Dong the witch is dead)

  3. Judd says:

The above article should be available for free. Try it again and let me know if you still have trouble.

  4. Ichi263 says:

… and Rove will be rehired as a contractor to determine the proper way to handle confidential documents…

  5. kindness says:

Karl is the personification of bushco. Willing to screw america to feed their “base”. I say screw america because their “base” is a huge minority. Hard right christians who are closer to fascism than anything Jesus said, the gluttonous wealthy who want more & big energy (I know, they are the same as gluttonous wealthy).

Let’s hope they give Karl the chair.

  6. Jay says:

Did Rove already sit down for his 11th hour addendum to his testimony? If so, should we anticipate indictments early this week? Is this Fitzgerald guy going to have the nerve to blow the doors off the Bush/Cheney crime family? Will Dubya continue to flaunt his superior stupidity and make his first veto the torture bill? Stay tuned for another action-packed week of “The Emperor Has No Clothes and Winter Looms!”

Judd, heard you filling in for Christy on Franken last week. Nice job, hope to hear you again. Don’t be afraid to throw those haymakers :)

    Jay

    #5 Buckfush,

You post the same thing in every new post. Whether you think so or not, it is spam. Does your comment have anything to do with Rove? No! I agree with KOS that your advertising of your website is getting old. Post something relevant, or go away

  8. Styve says:

A more apt thing to be concerned about for the WH inner circle would be…LIFE BEHIND BARS!!!

  9. Randy says:

Does anyone know if Air America has paid back its loan to the Boys and Girls Club yet? Al, Jerry and Ed should resign if they have not. But ho hum, the fact a liberal network is stealing money from children isn’t newsworthy these days.

  10. Darth Filibustrous says:

See towards the end of the article..

“…impromptu bursts of song that have marked his White House work.”

    WHAT?!

  11. Darth Filibustrous says:

    #10 – Randy –

Yes, On Sept 7 th, 2005 the Board of Piquant, LLC (Air America owner) accelerated the payment schedule and wired the balance of the money so that the full $875,000 is now in an escrow account per the direction of the New York City Department of Investigation.

By the way, any word on returning the billions of taxpayer dollars stolen by the Bush crime family in no-bid contracts in Iraq and Louisiana? Let me know when you hear something.

  12. Zookeeper says:

White House without Rove? Picture Georgie huddled in a corner, trembling and blubbering, “What do I do? What do I say? Why won’t they leave me alone?” Waaah!

  13. Jay says:

To follow up on Darth’s post, this administration has completely looted our treasury. It’s not only Iraq and Louisiana, it’s Bog Oil, Big Pharma, Big Auto, etc. These guys are stealing our money in all of their criminal endeavours. Kill the federal programs, divert the money to military industrial complex, privatize the services once provided by federal programs, all the fat cats win…….we lose. I wouldn’t mind as much if they merely wanted to kill the federal programs, but in addition they need to steal all of the money that sustained those progrmas while providing welfare the Big Corps.

As for AirAmerica, I’m not surprised that our faithful trolls missed this part of the story, but Air America’s current ownership, management and talent had nothing to do with the Boys&Girls Club affair, yet they went out of their way to fix it. For those of us that listen to AA, we know better than to buy the garbage that the rightwing machine has to fabricate to remove the threat of a challenge.

  14. katy says:

#10 – randy, et al…i almost hate to point out your ignorance, because it’s so obvious you really don’t want to learn the truth, but here is a very interesting story you should read about the history of the allegations concerning the LOAN from the boys and girls club to progress media, former owner of air america radio…

    http://jaywillie.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/7/30/124315/828

you really sould get out more…and consider your sources….

  15. progressive and proud says:

Trolls=Crime. Defend that “tough on crime” republicans. Whatcha’ gonna’ do about all of that crime? Thought you guys were fiscally responsible – oops. States rights – gone.

You stupid trolls don’t stand for crap – you got nothin’, nothin’ at all. You have no cause and your low IQ leader has given you the finger.

  16. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

Rove’s actions are indefensible. The least he deserves is jail time. More importantly, what kinds of punishment does treason bring?

  17. Pablo in Mexico says:

The other day on the floor of the Republican House, Tom DeLay, and indicted person, took charge and led the pukes to a victory by a two vote Margin. This was after his resignation.

The WH without Rove? Wake up and pee pee Amurka. Rove is indicted, the criminal Bush will pardon him so he dont have to stand trial, and Rove will back to work the next day doing his usual, underhanded things for the President of the United States of Amurka, King George.

  18. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

#19 – Pablo, you and many others bring a good point on this topic.

So what do we do? We vastly out number the greedy corrupt bastards. Do we work through our congress-critters to influence change? Should we march on Washington and reclaim the WhiteHouse? Or do we take matters into our own hands and move to Canada or Mexico?

  19. Pablo in Mexico says:

JCGW – I dont know what the hell to do. I am as bewildered as the next person as to a course of action.

I have lived down here for 6 years now, and have given up on the states. I am too god damn old to fight any more battles, but if I was up there, believe me I would be doing something. What? Dont ask me, I dont know.

    re: buckfush

Buckfush has some very good ideas about boycotting products to put pressure on the Bush administration and promotes this project on every post, but he is also engaging in a spam campaign to sell tee-shirts and coffee mugs.

Both are violations of Think Progress’ Terms of Use.

  21. Sharon Cox says:

Jesus and Pablo, there is lot’s we can do, but we must unite. One big impact is the use of our internets. On given day’s and times flood all senators and Rep’s with email. Boycotting in large numbers, stop work, get the truckers and farm aid groups to stand with the anti war, womens groups and all the diffrent groups to stand together. March and raise awareness. United we can do major things……Blessings

  22. Marie says:

I read this morning that if Rove goes down, Ed Gillespie will step in. That, in itself, should be enough to get Bush to be found stinking drunk on the White House lawn some morning soon.

  23. Sharon Cox says:

Marie, That’s something I would like to see. Hope Miers is on his lap holding his bottle…..Blessings

  24. Pete Bogs says:

absolute power over all three branches of government corrupts absolutely… arrogance, hubris and an unquestioning flock of sheep have led to all this… there’s something very Buddhist about letting your enemies destroy themselves through their own weaknesses…

  25. TAC says:

Karl Rove leaving Bush’s side? HA!!! Only if Rove’s led away in handcuffs and thrown in a country club prison will he be away from The Idiot’s side. So long as Rove is not physically situated in prison, he’ll be serving The Imbecile Cowboy, puppet-working his mouth. With his nomination of “The 60 Year Old Virgin” to the Supreme Court, a person devoid of qualifications for same, Shrub exposed for all his bottomless “F-You” contempt for anyone who doesn’t back him. Following that, he’d have no problem at all keeping Rove on in some capacity, regardless of scandal or indictments. Rove being physically separated from Shrub by steel prison bars would be the only scenario where this won’t happen.

  26. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

I was catching up on the weekend reading when I found the following. It seems very fitting. If Rove falls, we can’t stop with just him. Our nation’s health is at stake.

“…Sadly, little difference exists between McCarthy and the conservative fruitcakes who control our government today. McCarthy used paranoia about communism to drive his agenda. George W. Bush and the right-wing cabal that controls the House and Senate use paranoia over terrorism for the same purposes…”

  27. Susan says:

What can we do? Come on guys, its simple…IMPEACHMENT!

Sharon, when you write to your reps and senators or sign any letters or petitions please make a note to them that you are demanding that they begin impeachment hearings IMMEDIATELY.

I never write anything without the demand for impeachment. My senators have been so kind to explain the process to me. They say YOU MUST DEMAND IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS TO YOUR REPS AND SENATORS!

    DO IT NOW!

P.S. I don’t want to hear that it cant be done because the pugs control the house and senate. The pugs know that their party is about to become obsolete and they WILL do what you tell them to do to save their asses.

  28. Sara says:

Bursts of song? Here, Karl – a few themes that should fit your current circumstances:
“I Ain’t Got Nobody, Nobody Cares for Me”
” Nobody Loves You When You’re Down & Out”
    “Chain Gang”…
oh I could go on and on… so much fun to picture him singing the blues!

  29. Susan says:

I was very disappointed by the way the anti war movement took the spotlight from the impeachment movement. The Sept. 24th rallies in D.C. were originated by Ramsey Clark at votetoimpeach.org. He has over a half of a million signatures on his petition. He deserves our support for his hard work.

The war will continue as long as the pugs are running this country. Impeachment is the answer.

  30. Sharon Cox says:

Susan, I have been putting Impeach now on all my letters and get no response or excuse. In fact I was doing that in 2001, long before the war. Sad we are not getting this to happen, but maybe soon. If the criminal charges stick and the public is made aware of what’s going on we can win this……Blessings

  31. Susan says:

I am lucky Sharon. I was actually acknowledged by my Senators in Illinois.

Are your Senators Dems or Pugs? Mine are Dems so that may be why I get responses.

Keep up the pressure, with all of the indictments we are in a great position to impeach.

  32. Susan says:

Hey Sharon, an idea. If your Senators are Pugs and worthless, try writing to some dems (in other states) and explain that you are not being acknowledged or heard in your state. Your request for help from the dems could be something for the dems to throw in the pugs face.

Think about it, the dems can truthfully tell the media and congress that folks from other states are begging for their help. Hmmmmm….

  33. Sharon Cox says:

Susan, both my senators are Dems. Murry and Cantwell in Washington state. Cantwell went with me against Roberts, Murry voted for him. I also send Thank You’s when they vote the way I think they should and not happy notes when they vote with the Repugs. I send them e-mails all the time and am on their lists for email alerts on diffrent issues. I get weekly up dates and on enviroment and other issues they have responded with stock e-mails back stating their stand on diffrent issues. But I havent gotten any response on my Impeach Bush now. I will keep trying, sooner or later they will all have to listen. Think I will start writing all the senators, left and right in all the states…….Blessings

  34. Pablo in Mexico says:

Now let me tell you folks, this impeachment idea is just fine. I love it, love it, love it.

But there is one big, big problem that you all should know about, but evidently dont. WHO RUNS THE HOUSE?

There are at least 100 calls for impeachment in the House of Reps right now, but you see, they go to a committee controlled by guess who? The pukes, who wont let a dem within shouting distance of the chair.

So, where does the Bill of Impeachment Resolution go?
It goes directly into the trash can, is taken out at night and burned.

You can get 20 million signatures on a Bill of Impeachment and folks, it aint going to go anywhere under the current set up.
