“used nearly $100,000 in corporate and unlimited donations to mail last-minute political appeals praising five congressional candidates despite rules meant to keep such money out of federal races,” the AP reports.
The only thing surprising about this is that the MSM is finally printing negative news about the Republicans – the questions are, is anyone paying attention? Will such illegal acts by the powerful stop? Will those five candidates try to get themselves elected honestly?
NeoCons not only want to undo social programs, they wish to privatize EVERYTHING, they intend to BANKRUPT the country so we can never afford to care for our citizens again. That’s what they REALLY mean by ownership – the feudal lords will own everything, and the government won’t have any money not controlled by a corporation!
In their twisted world a bankrupted nation won’t be able to afford social programs. This is suicide of the american nation – and these clinically insane NeoCon fools are well on their way to succeeding. And lunatics like MightyBitch is too foolish to realize that only the VERY wealthy and the few lucky are likely to escape the insanity of the collapse this will bring. This is the scarey stuff of REAL revoloutions and economic collapse. But a psycho like her bitchiness gets off on the suffering of others – so she won’t care as to her no one is innocent who disagrees with her. She’s TRULY a terrorist!
Earle’s nearly 30-year record of prosecuting public officials, which includes 13 successful prosecutions out of a total of 15. He’s no idiot, and my guess is that he’s learned how to deal with DeGarbage after his first set of shenanigans in the Hutchison case. I would say the odds are against Delay at this point.
I truly believe that the plan Ryan Neat describes above is indeed the plan of those in power. Grover Norquist has expressed it many times; others are not quite so overt, but the mission is easily observable. The destruction of America as we know it is well under way and unless the public wises up and begins to look beyond the immediate and toward the broader picture, our fate is inevitable.
Those who support the ownership society as the Republicans see it will live to rue the day, should it become reality. The ownership will belong to the wealthy alone.
The media has become part of the society of the wealthy, abdicating their responsibility to be the watchdogs of government and advocates for the general welfare.
I can only hope that the blatant misuse of power by those in authority today will cause the MSM to return to the original purposes of journalisma, and that the public backlash against the powerful will begin to turn things around.
Hey Pablo, looks like all that cronyism may not bode well for them in the long run. He has tunnel vision and cannot see past his immediate need for gratification. Delay hiring his “buds” is like Bush nominating Meirs. His gaggle of lawyers are totally incompetent, but hey, they are his friends so they get the job. I’ve never seen attorneys talk so much.
Looks to me like we need an indictment for Indiana Republican Chris Chocola.
As has been asked here many times: Are there any of these bastards that aren’t corrupt?
It is just stunning how deep this corruption goes. It is as if everyone of the people are more than willing to break the law to get elected.
Here is a story for you. We had this same kind of thing going on in our local school PTA. This lady who did not even have kids in the school would not give up her position as president of the PTA. She would come to the school assemblies and literally yell at the parents, because “nobody was volunteering.” Then went behind closed doors and changed the bi laws to make it nearly impossible to get her out of there. We finally got a lawyer to bring the matter in front of the school district. Needless to say, she was gone rather quickly.
I told that story because the stuff that is going on in the republican party is going on everywhere on all levels of every type of organization. These NeoCons do not think twice about breaking the law or bending the rules to get their way.
Its like Ryan said SpudgeBoy, this administration is trying to bankrupt America. They claim that this is Osama Bin Ladens goal but us normal thinking people know who the real culprits are.
The only thing surprising about this is that the MSM is finally printing negative news about the Republicans – the questions are, is anyone paying attention? Will such illegal acts by the powerful stop? Will those five candidates try to get themselves elected honestly?

October 14th, 2005 at 3:03 amHow many times a day do you think Delay thinks about our country’s decrease in security caused by the exposure of Plame as a covert agent?

I smell more indictments, and it smells like roses…
October 14th, 2005 at 10:05 amThe lawyers TD has working for him are jokes around the courthouse.
All of them drink their breakfast, lunch and dinner at a local bar near the courthouse.
Of course TD sees nothing wrong with this considering that he has done the same thing for years.
I had the name of the bar, but I forgot it. It will come to me, I hope.
