One thing I see missing on all posts here is the term "Bilderberger" Everyone is under the curse they have brought about. They ALWAYS have both horses in the race. Clinton shook off the deficit but, he did it by gutting the social security box! He raided it by the billions! Thats why Gore was toting the "social security lock box" issue. A great book on this is The ABC's of Gold Investing by Michael Kosares. I do also believe that Bushie is an idiot. Does anyone see the problem with having only 2 families dominating the WH for so many years? Bush SR. did it by way of Reagan puppet. Does anyone remember Hinkley JR. ? Does anyone know that Hinkley SR. was an oil partner of Bush SR? It is time to throw congress OUT , all of them, They have sold us all out for a sack of gold. Lobbying should be made illegal! Do "we The People" have OUR lobbists? NO and never will America is corporation. Big Brother is a CEO!

In response to #58 Leatherneck's observation that
"Military personnel are not political, except for the senior officers. But the average grunt is so full of duty, honor and loyalty, they will do what they think is right."
Very true. Despite my deep concern about the Iraq war and other Bush follies, as an active-duty soldier, I keep my trap shut whilst in uniform.
However, I think the real issue here is that soldiers should never, ever be put in this position in the first place. We are not political spokesmodels. It's one thing for a soldier to make upbeat conversation with a senior official during a visit or inspection, quite another for that kind of exchange to be exploited and broadcast for political grandstanding.

"The original Greek word "idiotes" referred to people who might have had a high IQ, but were so self-involved that they focused exclusively on their own life and were both ignorant of and uncaring about public concerns and the common good."

Oh, and while we're talking about Carter, wasn't it Reagan who negotiated with the Iranians (while CARTER WAS PRESIDENT) and agreed to illegally sell them arms in exchange for hostages? And wasn't it CONservatives in the military under Carter that chose people with NO MILITARY experience to rescue the hostages - something irrational unless you want them to fail?

Your party has a long history of illegal, immoral and irresponsible acts that endanger american security and american well being. It doesn't matter if it's your attacks on the poor, the environment, healthcare or international security - you ALWAYS seem to be on the wrong side of american interests. You're the terrorists best friends!

"You never seem to notice that the info relied on by BushCo was the SAME info relied on by ClintonCO. Your retention of facts isn’t very good - or consistent. Bill Clinton sent troops to assist the genocide of Muslims and many Repubs wrongly criticized him. I was not one of those complicit in the wholesale slaughter of people based on their ethnicity. I PUBLICLY agreed with our President on Bosnia."

So what you're saying is that you weren't wrong but the entire republican establishment was wrong? Wait a second, I thought you said that libs are ALWAYS wrong? So which was the lie, the previous statement you made that said we're always wrong, or the one you just made that said we were right? You lie and contradict yourself so much it's hard to know which lie is bigger...

As for Clinton sending troops to assist in genocide - you have that backwards (as you always do), he sent troops to PREVENT genocide of muslims. But then again as a propagandist nitwit that always reverses the truth at your convenience, it must get hard keeping all of the lies stacking up in the correct order.

"This statement WILL NOT sink in with you as you do not wish to hear any common ground we might have. To my dismay, however, Clinton DID NOTHING when discovering the Hussein plot to kill Bush I."

You're SUCH a bad liar you stupid bitch.

" The circumstances of the alleged plot, which ended in a trial and conviction of 11 Iraqis and three Kuwaitis, have always evoked skepticism, although Clinton himself was apparently sufficiently convinced after receiving reports from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to order a missile strike on the Iraqi intelligence headquarters in Baghdad that killed six civilians in June, 1993."

"He should have gone over there and killed that maniacal son of a b*%&ch. What was Clinton’s response to the USS Cole bombing?"

Clinton attacked, and the plot was foiled. It was considered 'amateurish' by american intelligence, who weren't even conviced it was Saddam who was behind it. Clinton in fact was MORE convinced than investigators were of Saddam's involvement.

The cole occurred in the final months of the Clinton administration - and the 'response' was handed to the BushInepts to handle. It was BUSH who did nothing - but that fact doesn't fit into your delusion, so of course you make irrational and stupid statements that just show how inept bush was, not clinton.

"Did the “paper tiger” wake up when our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were attacked?? "

Actually he did respond. You wouldn't know that from the propaganda sites you clearly scrape your loads of crap from though.

"In response to the bombings, U.S. President Bill Clinton ordered Operation Infinite Reach, a series of cruise missile strikes on terrorist targets in Sudan and Afghanistan on August 20, 1998, announcing the planned strike in a primetime address on American television.
Investigations into the embassy bombings were conducted by the FBI and Kenyan and Tanzanian authorities. A list of suspects was drawn up and several men were charged for their involvement in the bombings."

You also forget that Clinton's staff warned Bush that terrorism should be the TOP american priority - bush ignored them all, and replaced their expert judgement with the NeoCon agendas of attacking saddam and fighting a 'drug war' so that more african americans would lose the right to vote. Republicans are RESPONSIBLE for 9/11, because you stupid morons where asleep at the wheel and didn't listen to those who KNEW BETTER - just like YOU NEVER DO.

"I don’t think a Democratic administration has done a credible job at defending our country since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis."

Uh, well that's just bullshit. First of all we haven't been attacked since WWII other than by 'terrorists', which aren't a country. The fact is democrats did come up with fairly comprehensive plans, but constantly fought idiot republicans to implement them until 9/11 happened. And while we're talking about 'defending' the country, since republicans sold the plutonium to Iran, sold the WMDs to Iraq, and Trained, funded and equiped AlQueda, it's pretty clear that the republicans CREATED THE THREATS. If you want to protect america, keep republicans out of office! They (you) keep creating our enemies you dumbshit!

Remember Clinton PREVENTED the millenium bombing, and bush ALLOWED 9/11 despite CLEAR memos that warned, and as was recently discovered KNOWLEDGE of Atta and enough evidence that if they'd paid attention surely they would have been able to stop. There's clearly a bigger issue here, you blame democrats, when republicans are the ones that block democratic efforts. You guys have always been unpatriotic, and focus instead on wanting things 'your way'. You don't protect american interests, you protect your own delusions!

" The perception the public have re: Dems and progressives as weak kneed hand-wringers is very telling - based on the lack of credible response from Dems - can you spell C-A-R-T-E-R?? Clinton is not too far behind in the dictionary or definition."

Ah Perception. It's amazing what propaganda will do to frame a perception that's a lie. The perception of most germans was that Poland had attacked them, and that hitler was defending. The FACTS don't support this perception. The FACTS show that republicans are not only irresponsible, but inept.

That's why the CURRENT PERCEPTION is that less than 30% of americans actually have the perceptions that republicans are doing ANYTHING right. So perceptions change quickly - and your belief about how progressives are seen is so last week, and SO FALSE. But then again, you're a slow learner as we constantly see. When you try to fit the facts to your preconceptions, it's a delusion - clearly this is the world you live in! Hope you liked your chicken dinner, the Fascist Zionist NeoCons are gonna need every dime you can funnel to them!

“Did the “paper tiger” wake up when our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were attacked?? ”

Actually he did respond. You wouldn’t know that from the propaganda sites you clearly scrape your loads of crap from though.

“In response to the bombings, U.S.
A list of suspects was drawn up and several men were charged for their involvement in the bombings.”

You also forget that Clinton’s staff warned Bush that terrorism should be the TOP american priority – bush ignored them all, and replaced their expert judgement with the NeoCon agendas of attacking saddam and fighting a ‘drug war’ so that more african americans would lose the right to vote. Republicans are RESPONSIBLE for 9/11, because you stupid morons where asleep at the wheel and didn’t listen to those who KNEW BETTER – just like YOU NEVER DO.

“I don’t think a Democratic administration has done a credible job at defending our country since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis.”

Uh, well that’s just bullshit. First of all we haven’t been attacked since WWII other than by ‘terrorists’, which aren’t a country. The fact is democrats did come up with fairly comprehensive plans, but constantly fought idiot republicans to implement them until 9/11 happened. And while we’re talking about ‘defending’ the country, since republicans sold the plutonium to Iran, sold the WMDs to Iraq, and Trained, funded and equiped AlQueda, it’s pretty clear that the republicans CREATED THE THREATS. If you want to protect america, keep republicans out of office! They (you) keep creating our enemies you dumbshit!

Remember Clinton PREVENTED the millenium bombing, and bush ALLOWED 9/11 despite CLEAR memos that warned, and as was recently discovered KNOWLEDGE of Atta and enough evidence that if they’d paid attention surely they would have been able to stop. There’s clearly a bigger issue here, you blame democrats, when republicans are the ones that block democratic efforts. You guys have always been unpatriotic, and focus instead on wanting things ‘your way’. You don’t protect american interests, you protect your own delusions!

” The perception the public have re: Dems and progressives as weak kneed hand-wringers is very telling – based on the lack of credible response from Dems – can you spell C-A-R-T-E-R?? Clinton is not too far behind in the dictionary or definition.”

Ah Perception. It’s amazing what propaganda will do to frame a perception that’s a lie. The perception of most germans was that Poland had attacked them, and that hitler was defending. The FACTS don’t support this perception. The FACTS show that republicans are not only irresponsible, but inept.

That’s why the CURRENT PERCEPTION is that less than 30% of americans actually have the perceptions that republicans are doing ANYTHING right. So perceptions change quickly – and your belief about how progressives are seen is so last week, and SO FALSE. But then again, you’re a slow learner as we constantly see. When you try to fit the facts to your preconceptions, it’s a delusion – clearly this is the world you live in! Hope you liked your chicken dinner, the Fascist Zionist NeoCons are gonna need every dime you can funnel to them!

You are ridiculously ill-informed or you would lie to your own mother to make a buck. I'd say a little of both.

"Another question, why are you for a war that, IF THE TRUTH HAD BEEN TOLD, we wouldn’t be in?" - PP
You never seem to notice that the info relied on by BushCo was the SAME info relied on by ClintonCO. Your retention of facts isn't very good - or consistent. Bill Clinton sent troops to assist the genocide of Muslims and many Repubs wrongly criticized him. I was not one of those complicit in the wholesale slaughter of people based on their ethnicity. I PUBLICLY agreed with our President on Bosnia. This statement WILL NOT sink in with you as you do not wish to hear any common ground we might have. To my dismay, however, Clinton DID NOTHING when discovering the Hussein plot to kill Bush I. He should have gone over there and killed that maniacal son of a b*%&ch. What was Clinton's response to the USS Cole bombing? Did the "paper tiger" wake up when our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were attacked?? I don't think a Democratic administration has done a credible job at defending our country since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The female officer interviewed by Bush in his publicity stunt of Thursday is actually a public relations agent for the Pentagon. Her job is to make the Iraqi war sell favorably to the U.S. Her script, like the others, was carefully written to appear spontaneous, but she was doing her job as PR gal.
Bush & Co. are even more dishonest than we think.

Sad to know so many people believe Bush should run the country with undefined, undocumented, unrehearsed and uninformed wit. So obvious many company's employee's do. Just look at the school system. Children segregated by status and committed to "Title One" schools. This was enacted during a Democrat President. The foundation of our country rotts. Thanks to Bush the road to repair is being paved.
P.S. Those whom hate the war in Iraq.. Simply put. War is not supposed to be fun. But to turn our backs away from the needs of the many will only provide for the worst.
