“[Scooter] Libby’s lawyer, Joseph Tate, has not returned reporters’ phone calls for several days. Neither has Ari Fleischer, the former White House spokesman who testified early in the case and was present on a July 2003 Air Force One flight on which a memo that included information about Plame was circulated.”

I know that bushie was in on this matter by some degree but you can bet dollars to donuts rovie boy is covering up for him just like bushie boy has been covering up for rove.
This SECRET memo abroad AF1 tells me a lot. I was wondering where the name of Plame got into the mix, but I think this clears that all up.
Colin Powell had the memo, and I will bet that everyone on the plane except for the press read the thing.

Both said they viewed the case as a matter of principle, which made the particulars less important. ‘I didn’t interrogate her about the details of the interview,’ Mr. Keller said. ‘I didn’t ask to see her notes. And I really didn’t feel the need to do that.’
The fact that Ms. Miller’s judgment had been questioned in the past did not affect its stance. Mr. Keller said.”
So AFTER the Jayson Blair scandal – which resulted in the resignation of Keller’s predecessor – “The default position in a case like that is you support the reporter”?

What do you think the odds are that the CIA complained about more than just Plame? Surely the CIA didn’t go the the Justice Dept. and just say “Yeah, an agent has been exposed by someone, we don’t know who. Could you look into it? Thanks.”
I think this is why it has taken so long and that reporters went to jail and top cabinet people resigned and Powell talks about shame and on and on and on….

I’m bracing myself for the reality that Fitz might not indict anyone. What do we do then? Go on knowing there is a treasonous spy in the WH?

October 15th, 2005 at 7:16 pmI suggested to another poster the other day that not only could Libby be charged with obstruction but his lawyer could be too. According to Millers lawyer (Abrams) Tate assisted Libby in manipulating the legitimacy of Libbys waiver.
Hmmm, Tate is in hiding.
