Dear Friends,
Developing clarity in regards to current socio-political events requires a sober analysis of the three times. Developing the picture of where we need to go depends on an up to date understanding, which requires a vibrant and friendly self vigilance, of where we are now. And, of course, the only way to know where we are now is to appreciate how we came to be here. But, although it is crucial not to leave out any step in the process of appreciating the who what when where how and why of past-present-future, the most important aspect of our political involvement is to activate our understanding of the historical process by energetically manifesting our committment to creating a world that establishes and maintains an optimum and egalitarian environment for all.
Understanding what’s real now, how we got to where we are, and
where we need to go is not a casual undertaking. By focusing on what is needed to effect change in the direction(s) you want our society to explore means working, alone and together, to organize for real results in real situations. Whenever and wherever you see what needs to be done; do it. From the small, perhaps a neighborhood speed bump or stop sign, to the large, say effective, clean, safe, free, quiet, and fun mass transportation for our urban areas, get involved. From conserving on your own by waling to the store to establishing a future that includes an amazing nationwide rail system, work for a real result. For changing local conditions that lead to domestic abuse, build a network of support and treatment for all parties involved and get the ongoing medical, educational, child care, and employment parts of the problem into focus. For estalbishing conditions that eliminate international conflict the same rules apply; work on every part of the problem, from the micro to the macro economic conditions that need changing to fighting those who would justify violence, torture, economic deprivation as a means to consolidate their paranoid vision.
Be practical, don’t give up, and most important; don’t let the liars, murders, ideologial/theological crackpots, and outright corporate crooks steal your juice. Have fun living a life that is based on what’s real.
kr and gb and the rest of the gang are chickenfeed lightweights. They are front men for the house of cards which is corporate America. There is only one force that can counteract the morphing of the democratic process into a fascist government/corporate culture and that’s us. There is only one force that can establish and maintain a sane system of socio/ecnomic/political relationships on a local, state, natinal, and international level and that’s us. The people of the United States of America have it within their power to get control over our own destiny. In fact, is is the people more than any other force that the powerful fear. That’s us folks. Focus, Organize, and Unite. Have fun and don’t let the lightweights steal your thunder or your love or your sense of humor or your compassion or your poetry or your freedom or your sense of beauty or your passion or your art or your open questioning and inquiring minds and bodies. Share yourselves with the world. Realize the sadness that knows you are not here forever and love and act now.
PS Put war criminals like osama and gw and saddam and rumsfeld and cheney etc to work cleaning the latrine at the NYT’s. Perhaps we could get some good news instead of double and triple misinformation.

1.) The rethugs are so evil and immoral, that a cockroach could beat them in a fair election.

2.) We haven’t had a fair and/or fairly counted election since 2000.

3.) It’s up to We The People, not the Dems to make sure our votes are accurately counted.

We need an updated version of the Boston Tea Party.

We build effigies of these crooked voting machines, have literature ready to hand out, parade them through our local communities and drown them.

We also need to find out if we as citizens can legally demand recounts if exit polls do not match the “vote count” and follow through on whatever actions need to be taken.

We nned to stop expecting and/or waiting for someone from the Dem party to “lead” us and and start taking our own actions to get back our country.

Ryan, I heard the interview on Bradblog. Hopefully the programmer will become a public figure. Illinois still uses paper ballots. Maybe thats why it’s a blue state.

I’m with ya Pissed Off. I’ve told my reps and Senators that if they do not demand impeachment hearings they will not get my vote again. I will vote for an independent and waste my vote if I have to.

Speaking on behalf of Illinois, the pug party is obsolete. Even our pug counties are turning blue.

What we need is a strong independent. I nominate Donald Trump.

But they still allow the optical scanner machines, that have the same security issues. And it isn’t “Bradblog” that proved the insecurity of the machines, it is Bev Harris, and her people, at http://WWW.BLACKBOXVOTING.ORG. But again, absent the involvement of the leadership of the Democratic Party, even the stolen election issue becomes another buried story. Just look at how the damned cowards deserted Conyers when he tried to pursue the issue. The same money, much of it coming from AIPAC, backs the criminals in BOTH parties. It is rumored that the Dem leadership was absent from the Washington anti-war protests because of the threat of retaliation from AIPAC. The key is to get those machines REMOVED before the election. If your county or state is one of the places where electronic (non-receipt) or electronic ‘tally machines’ without audit trails are used, then you MUST get involved in a lawsuit to block their usage. The DNC SHOULD do this, and if you’re involved in the local DNC organization, bitch to the representatives until they act!

Some states like California have blocked Diebold and all electronic machines that don’t print audit trails and audit receipts for the voter. This should be the model for all other states!

I have no problem with electronic voting machines, but there is NO excuse for the machines to not print an audit trail with an audit code (voter receipt id) that can be correlated. And the voter should be able to SEE the printed audit record for themselves. Electronic information is too easily corrupted, especially when you use a non-authenticated, and non-audited system like Diebold machines are based on. Bradblog PROVED that a programmer with basic skills could easily write a program to ‘flip’ the final results in a vote, and could do so without leaving any record or trail of the act. Clearly this is NOT a secure or reliable system, and unless republicans ARE using this system to steal their votes, they won’t have a problem with the audit. But since it’s clear that they ARE STEALING THE ELECTIONS, we hear them resist the requirements nationwide! Theives and liars, one and all!
