But what about all those Wal-Mart ads where the company-provided health insurance saved one of the employee’s kids lives’, and the Smiley faces and all those great savings :0
I’m glad to hear Robert “Outfoxed” Greenwald is doing a documentary on this leviathan, though it’s surprising he beat Michael Moore to that… Greenwald’s come a long way from Xanadu!
I think it is time for every Amerikun to stop shopping at Wal-Mart.
I live in Guadalajara and there are about 5 of them slugs down here, and they are building another one.
I have been inside one of them – once. My Mexican wife does not like them, neither do I. I have a discount card for 10% off at all Gigante stores, which makes things cheaper than the slugs, who give no discounts to anyone.
AMERIKA – wake up and stop shopping at Wal-Mart who supports the criminalization of politics as evidenced by their support of Tom DeLay.
On FOX Radio News where I live this morning:
Both Dean and Kerry campaigns purchased supplies for their election runs at Wal-Mart. That they are hypocrites for speaking out for better wages and healthcare while shopping there, and that they will claim they were unaware when asked. Connected?

Jay,
Point taken, but I also feel that a great deal of this money follows whoever is in power. You’d probably see the opposite numbers if the democrats were in control. Remember the republicants are suppose to be in control of 2/3rds of government right now, if I were spending money to potentially buy favor, I’d have to go with the flow, it’s less risky than counter current.
Walmart is the only co. who tells the MANUFACTURE what they will charge walmart. Take it or leave it. Let the boycott begin. That family is worth 94 BILLION, they don’t need any money. good bye….
You hit it right on the head. It is a catch 22 situation. You want to have your products in Wal-Mart, because they are so big, but you can’t make any profit off of those products.
I hate the fact that the compnay I work at caters to these scumbags. Who was the first company to stand up and say “Look what we did for Katrina victims,” while giving a measily 5 million dollars. Just give the money to charity and shut the fvck up. It isn’t charitible if you boast about it.
Walmart sucks – nothing more to be said on that matter. I haven’t spent a dime in one of those stores in over a decade. And my kids feel the same way… just trying to change my little corner of the world one dime at a time…
To understand the Think Progress blog, one should keep in mind that the motto of its corporate parent American Progress Action Fund is “Progress Through Action,” not through thought. Its unspoken motto seems to be that an ounce of wit or sarcasm is worth of pound of actual facts or intelligence, today’s liberals and leftists often being too dense or hysterically obsessed to notice the difference.
We’ve heard of ARMPAC, TRMPAC, GOPAC, and SixPAC (yes, the beer industry has one).
But Walmart? Don’t they realize the optics of donating someone to the indicted leader of the House Republicans, whether he is guilty or not, looks bad?
On the other hand, a lot of their stores are in areas where people don’t even have dialup so they won’t even know about this. So naturally, they don’t care.
Thanks for describing fox news and your political party. See if you just wait long enough, a republican will always project his own shortcomings on you. And it’s always hysterical to watch!

October 18th, 2005 at 7:21 pmWalmart is Communist China’s largest american company. Good job republicans!
October 18th, 2005 at 7:21 pmBoycott Target also. On September 30 a Target pharmacist at a store in Fenton, MO. refused to fill a prescription for birth control pills.
He said he had a right to do this.
