That’s what republicans do, not gay people. Gay men are no pedophiles, any more than straight men are pedophiles. A pedophile is something entirely different, but since you probably are a pedophile, you ‘might’ already know that. And considering that the only two groups that are homophobic are closeted gay men and peophiles, you’ve got a 50/50 chance of being one of them.

re- why hardcores think gay marriage threatens theirs…could it be that they worry about their mens sexual desires? I mean, do they think if out gays were OK in the eyes of the world (they are, except these folk still want to think it’s the 1950’s out there) their men would immediatly dump them for some young stud?

There’s a lot of similarities. Just like there were jewish members of the Nazi Party (Leo Strauss – founder of the NeoCon republican movement for instance) – Mehlman and other prominant republicans are Gay. That kind of self hatred is often intertwined with radical and fringe political movements like the PNAC one.

I suspect they are now visa versa. I mean, whereas in the old days it was the moderates who owned & defined the party, it was the wacko’s who held ground in far flung obscure corners. Now it’s the other way around.
