Hmm, why so late? To purposely miss the daily news cycle?
I’m suspicious. After all, the forces of the Anti-Christ are strong with this administration. Bear in mind that otherwise innocent national political decisions and choices are actually shaped in the infernal regions by a cabal of bipedal creatures with goat feet and pitchforks. (Trust me; it all makes sense once you look at things that way.)
And if I don’t make it back from the bank alive — say, I get hit by a train after my truck mysteriously get stuck on the tracks (especially since there is no railroad between here and the bank) — then you can be sure I was right.
Good things come to those who wait…and wait…and wait…..COME ON ALREADY!!!
While we wait, could my party please come out with its list of initiatives if we take over congress next election??? What is taking so long with that?? The latest numbers for congressional Repubicans are bad but the Dems numbers aren’t much better. Why aren’t we taking advantage of this? Where are my leaders??
Merry Fitzmas everyone! I was a little down this morning when I learned the indictments wouldn’t be announced until tomorrow, but the magic of Fitzmas came through.
I hope to God that all these Treason lover b***trd’s are indicted…….That includes gwbush. I want to see America take her stand again as that caring, ethical, non waring, helping country that we once were……..
This Cabal that took over our White House need to be tared and feathered then Marched thru every city in this country with a sign around bush’s neck stating he never planned to get bin laden and rove with a sign staing he was behind the antzx that killed Americans! Just My Thot’s
Lots of credibility on the line here with ’sources’ ‘in the know’ Mr. Sale and rawstory.org face not being believed if this doesn’t pan out as predicted.
I have never had a Christmas anticipation melt down like the one I’ve had this week. My keyboard is exhausted. I keep going from one web site to the next looking for any little hint. I’ve never even been the type to shake my presents before Christmas morning to try and guess what I’ve gotten. But I look for every little hint now.
Get a grip, friends. The weasel is one of the Lord’s slipperiest creatures, after all. Also, there’s no guarantee that the Bushies getting what they deserve will lead to America getting what it deserves – honest, ethical and competent leadership.
A clarifying example: if the Miers pick is withdrawn it only means we fight the beast again later in different, undoubtedly more armor-plated, clothing. Who’s to say the downfall of Rove et al will result in anything except maybe a private joyful cheer.
Also, an indictment does not a conviction make. Will any of these bloodthirsty murdering chickenhawks really get their due justice? I am doubtful.
“I went down there to find justice and that’s what I found: just us.” – Richard Pryor
#17–rawstory has little/no credibility. I’d love to believe them, but they’re wrong way more than right. I think they write such stuff to get web traffic (and i’m SURE its working, this week).
all the radio blowhards are saying that nothing’s in the works today. I think rawstory will eat it, again. not that it matters–today, tomorry, friday….who cares as long at Rove and Cheney and Lib are indicted?
Why is Fitzgerald taking so long? There must be something going on or he would have announced by now. My guess is that there will be no indictments and that it will be announced late on Friday after the news cycle.
#28: Best case scenario is that Rove is singing and Fitzgerald needs extra time to indict Cheney. CNN reports that he met with the judge for 45 minutes today after the Grand Jury adjourned. Which could be to:
1. Tell the judge who the grand jury indicted.
2. Ask the judge to empanel a new grand jury or extend the current one because he needs more time.
3. Tell the judge who’s agreed to a plea.
4. Tell the judge who’s going to be a new target of the investigation.
5. Give the judge the status of the investigation as a whole.
6. Tell the judge he’s not going to indict anybody.
7. Tell the judge to get a whole bus load of orange jumsuits ordered up.
8. Tell the judge that the judge will be busy for the next few months trying these bastards.
9. Taking a little time to sing “Ding dong the witch is dead!”
So, are we all going to go to bed early tonight and leave a plate of cookies for Fitzgerald? Hang up our stockings (complete with balls and chains) by the chimney, so he’ll fill them with lots of sweet, sweet indictments?
The majority of people may identify themselves as conservatives in a poll (because the word “liberal” has been so demonized), but when it comes to specific issues, especially social ones, Americans are far more likely to align themselves with progressive positions than conservative ones.
Witness the recent Republican failures among the American public regarding Terry Schiavo and Social Security “reform.” Those didn’t lose steam because of brilliant political opposition. The lost because there was no popular support, plain and simple.
For goodness sakes! It’s 5 minutes until 5pm CT. Why doesn’t he just tell us all! Poor Cheney’s probably about ready to have a heart attack, I’m sure Bush is wanting a PBR beer, and Rove crying like a baby.
You must have missed the last few polls which showed:
48 percent say they prefer a Democratic-controlled Congress, compared with 39 percent who want the Republicans to control Capitol Hill.
68 of americans are dissatisfied with the direction of the ‘republican controlled’ government. I do believe it’s been over a decade since so many americans polled so dissatisfied.
What again about ‘conservative values’ do you believe americans feel? Because clearly they’re disagreeing with you at the polls.
All of this excitement over the indictments reminds me of the last election…lets wait and react to the news (good or bad) before we get ahead of ourselves with speculation…never underestimate the deviousness of the WH, these slipperly little **** with their fingers deep into every facet of this country and its central gov’t,
I wouldn’t be surprised if nothing comes from this, I’d be pissed, but not surprised…as long as Georgie doesn’t push an amendment to end term limits before the ‘06 elections, we shoooouuuullllld be alrigh, but let’s wait and see or their will be too many of us jumping off our roofs and we need every vote in 06!!!
The tension is reaching a crescendo now so that if the entire White House isn’t indicted, it will be overwhelmingly disappointing. Personally, I want them all to be tried in this country for their lies, and in the world court for war crimes, but I am bracing for only a few being indicted, and hope they are found guilty.
Who are the 39% blind lunatics defending this crew?
i think since Fitz’ staff hasn’t leaked anything the only info coming out is from the lawyers for the various future defendants. this makes any “source” suspicious and if i were a journalist i’d be very wary of going out on a limb right now.
there’s so much speculation right now that i think everybody should just chill out. keep your party hats within reach but relax. in the immortal words of paul mcartney: let it be.
Fitz’ staff should be commended by the way for being discrete. Ken Starr’s staff was leaking like a collander every day in an attempt to fight the battle in the court room and the court of public opinion simultaneously.
I agree 100%. Fitz has done anything but turn this into a circus. It has bene the media that has been trying to put up the circus tents, but the headline acts just didn’t show up.
Yea! Me so happy.

October 26th, 2005 at 2:55 pmMy mouse is starting to make a cranky noise on every click….this anticipation is killing me.
CNN’s anchor said they’re getting something, and then went to break!!!! Then came out of the break and didn’t mention it.
Killing me.

This ought to help with the NJ Gov election… and with OH election reform
October 26th, 2005 at 3:59 pmToday, tomorrow… who care? The WH is sunk. We have been liberated. Conservatism is history. Long live liberalism and the Progressive movement!

You need to recheck your polls numbers again as to how many Americans claim to be a liberal or conservative. I think the answer may shock you.

Any polls conducted by Republican outfits like Diebold and ES&S do not accurately reflect the opinions of the general public.

October 26th, 2005 at 6:20 pmThere is one other, and much more important reason for Fitz to meet with Hogan.
That is to get Judge Hogan to sign the arrest warrants.
October 26th, 2005 at 6:26 pmWell, that seals it. Rawstory wrong again. No surprise…really. what a bunch of yuks at that site.
