Harriet can now be very up close and personal with this ‘brilliant’ man she so admires, as she provides counsel on a personal basis in the pending shit-storm that junior won’t be able to take a vacation from.
“That’s where I’m goin’ to put my Presidential library, on that ledge, it should hold 2-3 books don’t ya think?
Hell, I haven’t written any papers of importance, but they’ll build me one anyway.” Sorry, for the poor Bush-speal…it really is hard to dumb oneself down that much.
“Why??? Win some elections and then you can promote a progressive agenda – loved by lazy people everywhere!!

MightyHermaphrodite. Considering that you lost 2000 by a HALF MILLION VOTES, that’s mighty hypocritical of you… But then again, you’ve proven yourself a particularly stupid partisan whore, so why should anyone expect you to understand democracy or fair play. After all, wasn’t it your grandmother who talk you to abuse people that you feared? Yeah, I remember everything you stupid whore!
Not only do the majority of americans disagree with the ‘direction’ of the country, but they basically disagree on specific policies across the board! Republicans clearly are out of touch with america!
I think some of the Republicans in congress may be out of touch with the core values of the conservative movement but to say that the Republican party is out of touch with America is untrue. The grass roots effort last year to get out the vote was more successful than the democratic one and more Americans consider themselves conservative than liberal. I think that if the Republicans in Washington continue to forget their roots, they may be in trouble next year. It was the conservative movement that killed Miers’ nomination not anything done by the democrats. Today was a day of victory for conservatives. There is no denying that but we’ll see what happens tomorrow.
“The grass roots effort last year to get out the vote was more successful than the democratic one and more Americans consider themselves conservative than liberal.”
Not true. More new democrats were registered than new republicans.
As for that consideration, that depends on what questions are asked.
When policy questions are asked, whether it be education, environment, entitlements, retirement, minority rights, womens rights, virtually every point shows american are more liberal than they are conservative. The Reichwing media has done their best to turn the ‘word’ liberal into a dirty one, but the ‘policies’ of liberalism ring as true to the general public as ever.
I guess you missed the polling today that showed the majority of americans agree with democrats on virtually every issue, whether it be tax cuts, ss reform, education, iraq or any other topic. You guys keep deluding yourself that you have backing of the people – you DON’T!
hahahahaha

October 27th, 2005 at 6:07 pmThe ultimate indignity for Harriet Miers?
It was Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist who delivered the message to the White House that the Miers nomination was in a persistent vegetative state.

October 27th, 2005 at 7:47 pmIn fact, there is less support of the people every day, as the smoke obscuring the corruption of this administration is gradually being blown away.
