“Fitzgerald’s spokesman, Randall Samborn, said the investigation will continue but with a new grand jury. The term of the current grand jury cannot be extended beyond today.”
Listened to the opening statements of the Fitzgerald press conference and they confirmed that Plame was in fact "classified". Now all you righties that said her status was common knowledge and she wasn't a covert agent.....please explain?
Well seeing as we have established who outed Valerie Plame - it was official A who is either grassing on Libby or about to land in deep sh*t himself - why isn't Fitzgerald complete?
Of course, it's the small matter of a criminal conspiracy. Give it up wingers, this government is FUBAR.
Listening to Fitzgeralds' explanation of what the investigation entailed and how it was handled, I think any cries of "witch hunt" are pretty much shown to be WRONG. Talk about crossing 't's and dotting i's!
They're f*cked though. That second grand jury's got to be conspiracy-focused, and it's been empanelled 'cos Fitz has the goods. Bush might do his party a favor by doing a major clear-out before the sh*t really hits the fan, but that would require the kind of leadership Bush has never exhibited.
well…that was very interesting…i hope ned, randy, scepticalsmith, et al, were watching that press conferance…especially noting the part about “technicalities†- that argument ain’t gonna fly, according to fitzgerald…
i feel like i think i’m in love…â€Truth is the engine of the Judicial Systemâ€
…wow… the world sure needs more guys/people like that…
#13 I wouldn't go so far as in love..., but I wrote down the same quote when that was said. What an articulate, no-nonsense, what-we-need-more-of kind of answer. No speculation, no hearsay. This is what it's all about.
This is like a jelly of the month club gift "It's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year through"
October 28th, 2005 at 2:10 pmThe gauntlet has been cast down at our feet. We MUST springboard this to ousting these thugs, starting in 2006. The real work now begins...

"Innocent till proven guilty"
"Libby's done the honorable thing"
"Prosecutor straying beyond his remit"
"Dubya wants to get on with governing"

#4 Obviously Libby is Novembers flavor of the month. Maybe Rove will be Decembers flavor.
