As reported on CNN:
The special counsel has advised Mr. Rove that he has made no decision about whether or not to bring charges and that Mr. Rove’s status has not changed. Mr. Rove will continue to cooperate fully with the special counsel’s efforts to complete the investigation. We are confident that when the special counsel completes his work he will conclude that Mr. Rove has done nothing wrong.

So, the NYT and the rest of the mainstream news media have actually been wrong this morning in reporting that there will be NO indictment of Rove today. According to Rove's attorney, there certainly could be an indictment today, right?
The grand jury can certainly vote an indictment this morning if it chooses to ... so all this talk about Rove is just that - talk.
October 28th, 2005 at 10:18 amDave C you are correct, I'd like to see some of these bloviating pundits with egg on their faces, the rush to 'be first' with a news tidbit doesn't serve anyone well. I'd like to see it knock down some credibility for the so called 'informed sources'

October 28th, 2005 at 10:24 amHmmm....isn't our current mainstream media's job now to spew talking points and misinformation to spin public opinion in directions favorable to the power elite? Just asking.
October 28th, 2005 at 10:33 amDave - I think the Times got it correct (although it would've been karma-tastic if they had been leaked bad information from the administration at this stage).
Looks like they fly-swat the Plame-outers today, but the big news is, this ain't over. Fitz is just getting warmed up. And that means more pain for the Bushies, continuing uncertainty and continued lameness.
My heart bleeds.
October 28th, 2005 at 10:37 amDid any of you left wing losers really think you would get to the Prince of Darkness?
October 28th, 2005 at 10:38 am#5 - Of course. The WH fax machine is ready with:
1. Fitzgerald has finished his job;
2. Prosecutors should stay within their remits;
3. Dubya looking forward to getting back to work.
~~~~~~~~~~>
Which translates as: "Fitzgerald, stay the f*ck away from the WMD intelligence."
This fight is only just beginning.
