   THANK YOU, Mr. President, for this nomination of the imminently qualified Sam Alito. He is exactly what the Supreme Court needs, and I for one cannot wait to hear how Ted Kennedy explains his “no” vote after first voting to confirm him to the appeals court.

   The left is going to try to Bork Alito – there is no doubt. It’s already started. Mr. President, your base DOES NOT WANT COMPROMISE. We do NOT want to get along with the leftists in congress and the senate. We do NOT want to appease them – we want them exposed, belittled, and mocked for the ignorant morons they are. This is a battle the left cannot win so long as the Republicans show up to fight. If this means invoking the nuclear option, so be it.
