That’s all folks! By January 9 there will be no need for the Senate to bother. DUHbya and The Right Wingnuts will be doing their gig in Kansas.
I still contend that the only alternative the reasonable Rebublicans, if there are any remaining, have left to salvage their party any time within the next 20 years is to immediately impeach Bush and Cheney, dis-own Delay and Frist at al, and deep six the remaining neocons, bushco, and other appropriate asses. This must be done as soon as possible before Fitz starts kicking ass and taking names. Those that wish to remain un-neutered in the Fall of the House of Bush had better distance themselves as far from the shrubs as possible.
This can’t be right. I know a GOPstapo troll told me Alito would be confirmed before Christmas, (which has been cancelled by the evil, secular leftists, BTW).
Hijacking… makes us sound kind of dangerous and sexy…
Poor frist, he thought he would get to call the game all the time.
And what a pathetic WHINER he sounded like – “slap in the face”, sheesh. I am sure he meant to sound manly and outraged.
So they have lost tremendous face here, and will have a hard time with ramming through Alito, especially in the light of his past experiences all coming up.
Lame ducks all over the place!
Good Morning All!!! The Senate should take there time on confirming Alito. Maybe then DayO’Connor can vote on some of the cases that are coming up this fall.
Bush really wanted this to happen before year’s end because Frist is about to be taken down by the SEC. Frist is the main pusher of the nuclear option and if he is too sidetracked or marginalized as is Delay, then the attempt by the neocons to savage tradition has less of a chance of happening.
If we’re lucky, Alito’s confirmation hearings will be followed shortly by news of Libby’s trial date, with a list of witnesses, followed by Delay’s trial, followed by Frist’s censure, followed by Rove’s trial; preceding the 2006 election.
Watch for Bush&Co. to start trouble, raise the terror alert, capture another 2nd-in-command in Afghanistan, or otherwise distract the public attention.
Hell, Marie, they can’t keep all of the the “2nd in commands” they have captured in custody. I’m sure you heard about the great escape. They are systematically ruining our military.
Good. It’ll give us all time to look over his decisions carefully.
Not that most of us need to. I don’t support him simply because he doesn’t fit my idea of a nuetral judge. He is definitaely biased. & I don’t only mean on the abortion issue.
He sides with big government over the individual every time. Now that’s counter to what republicans have been telling their flock they are all about. What’s up with the republicans? Stinking sheep being happily led to slaughter.
He is an activist judge. The neocon’s can drop an idea in a heartbeat. It is clear all they dole out is blather. Just any old phrase or reference that will suck in the idiots is fine – for that day. They are transparent and vacuous and to fall for their lines is ridiculous.
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/11/04/alito/ Bush is dissappointed he won’t have his activist court by Christmas. WAAAAAA!!! WITTLE BUSHY NOT GETTING WHAT HE WANT FO KWISSMASS!!! WAAAAAA!!
What a baby. The Senate has a busy schedule and if Arlen Specter says it can’t be done before xmas than that’s probably right. What a spoiled rotten little shit. I don’t think the people freezing to death in their homes this winter because the low income heating assistance program budget wasn’t expaned will give a damn.
Hijackers used to want to just fly to Cuba to live a better life. Maybe if the Dems just want to take America to a better place then they did hijack in the more noble sense? Just wondering.

Did you see the cartoon in the paper recently? The Head of Bin Laden with a #1 under it over a wall of other Arabs, all with a #2 on their shirts.
finally something to look forward too
November 3rd, 2005 at 6:09 pmI thought W wanted him confirmed by the end of the year? Oh well!
November 3rd, 2005 at 6:20 pmScrew W and what he wants
November 3rd, 2005 at 6:21 pmSo, maybe they’ll hear that pending abortion case and O’Connor will actually have a vote (or whatever the correct legalese is).
November 3rd, 2005 at 6:33 pm#2:
W does not understand how the Senate works and has no respect for other institutions of power or authority because of his narcissism.

November 3rd, 2005 at 7:14 pmUm, isn’t the party in charge of the White House the same as the party in charge of the Senate?
Ouch.
Of course “foxified” America will find a way to blame the delay on Dems.

November 3rd, 2005 at 8:31 pm“The United States Senate has been hijacked by the Democratic leadership,” said Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee.
Finally an admission!
Thanks Bill for the compliment.
We’re tougher than ya thought huh?

Frist = crybaby. He should be more worried about his own unethical stock deal with his Daddy’s company.
November 3rd, 2005 at 10:59 pmThese guys are disgusting.
Poor ol’ Frist. We have to play dirty in order to stop him from playing dirty. He wonders how the Dems managed him to bully him;)
I wonder where they got the idea from ;)
Frist, don’t bother crying for your mommy and daddy.
November 4th, 2005 at 1:15 amWE ARE YOUR MOMMIES AND DADDIES, YOU LITTLE BITCH!
I know this thread was about Bushie’s latest neocon nominee but I couldn’t resist posting Frists admission.
We need to circulate Frist’s admission all over the blogosphere and beyond.
“The United States Senate has been hijacked by the Democratic leadership,†said Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee.
