Percentage of Americans who “believe that Bush has lived up to his campaign pledge to restore integrity to the White House.” Also, the percentage of people who approve of how Bush is doing his job, according to a poll released today by Pew.
So approximately 1/3 of americans are clinically insane in otherwords. That’s higher than the 25% estimate of mental health professionals, but I believe it.
What an amazing coincidence that the errors always fall in favor of the GOP candidate….I’m sure the integrity of the electronic voting machinery is intact and this is nothing more than another anomaly. Or some moonbat conspiracy.
I could belieeve 36% of the nations CEOs, but 36% of average citizens is just too much for me to believe, then again I was wrong with the last election…
FOADL is simply projecting his own inner child. It’s interesting to hear someone with the mind of a child accuse others of childishness. Republican hypocrisy runs through all levels however, and FOADL demonstrates the mind of a republican child quite nicely.
State election officials have been told of the problem. They believe if there is a problem, it could have been caused by the way the machines were stored.
The way they were stored? What does that mean? Did someone stack them 6 high? Did someone ignore the sign “This side up”? Were they stored in a place that had a leaky roof? Did any of this shake up the fragile electronics?
And as Jay mentioned, isn’t it funny that these “problems” always favor the Repubs. Kaine sent out a note to his e-mail mailing list telling everyone to get out an vote, stating that the 2000 presidential election was decided on a bit over 500 votes. It only takes one machine to throw it…
Ohio voting machines don’t count the vote, they simply cheat whoever the republicans disagree with. Your vote didn’t count, and unfortunately neither did anyone who honestly voted against you. Diebold has seen to it that you live in a fascist state – and being retarded you’re probably OK with that.
As Bob Harris points out, that’s a percentage point BELOW the segment of the population who believe aliens have secretly contacted the U.S. government, a.k.a. lunatic territory.
I was thinking the very same thing. A careful choice of words (where vs. how), eh? What is amazing to me is that this is so freaking obvious. I mean, it would be one thing if a Repub won in a heavily democratic precinct and no one reported any problems with their selection. But this is not what we have.
It appears that the touch-screen technology, perhaps on purpose, is not working out. Here in NE Tenn our electronic machines are simple to operate. Next to each candidate’s name (printed on paper) is a selection button and a red LED that confirms the selection made. Once all the selections are made, there is a red “cast vote” button at the bottom that you push. I’m not saying it is failsafe; for all I know, the LED could indicate I selected the correct person, but the machine could have given my vote to his/her opponent. However, it does pretty much eliminate “voter error” that folks like to fall back on as a reason for these problems. And since we’ve been using the electronic machines, there haven’t been any reports of anomalies.
Have any of you guys ever been called to participate in one of these polls? Who the hell are they asking? The bottom-feeding third of the country? Un-f*ing-believable!
Somebody who supports or advocates a system of government characterized by dictatorship, centralized control of private enterprise, repression of all opposition, and extreme nationalism is in fact and by definition, a FACSIST.
36% of Americans must be suffering a severe case of Kool-Aid hangover today. It’s been a 5 year bender, but the Party had to come to an end at some point.
Hate to break it to them, but these are peak numbers….it’s all downhill from here.

November 8th, 2005 at 4:07 pmLooks like republicans are trying to steal the votes in Virginia and Ohio again.

November 8th, 2005 at 4:09 pmMy guess is that these 36%ers only get their news from Phaux News.
Either that or they, like our esteemed President, don’t read any news at all.
November 8th, 2005 at 4:09 pmThe die-hard liberals posting here sound like spoiled rotten kids that have had their candy taken away. Its truly sickening. Grow up for a change!
November 8th, 2005 at 4:13 pmRyan,
What an amazing coincidence that the errors always fall in favor of the GOP candidate….I’m sure the integrity of the electronic voting machinery is intact and this is nothing more than another anomaly. Or some moonbat conspiracy.
Fascism it surely is.

November 8th, 2005 at 4:13 pmFOADL,

Look in the mirror idiot.
November 8th, 2005 at 4:16 pmFar more than 36% believe that Darwinian theory is a hoax. More evidence that TV makes you stupid.

November 8th, 2005 at 4:19 pmFOADL – Why don’t you live up to your moniker and go away?

November 8th, 2005 at 4:27 pmDoesn’t everyone else think it’s funny that republicans believe in social darwinism but not darwin?
Amusing…
November 8th, 2005 at 4:28 pmFOADL is a recursive death threat acronym – childishness at it’s height – no? ;)
November 8th, 2005 at 4:29 pm#4 – NeD/FOADL – “rotten kids” … so you’re anti-kids! And pro-taking-candy-away-from-kids! Gasp! Even GOP-ers won’t support you!
Others – I voted for reform in Ohio today. Can’t wait to see Gov. Taft’s 15% popularity manifest in sweeping reform …

November 8th, 2005 at 4:31 pmI think the question is more, where they were stored (and who had access to them) not how they were stored

FOADL, it’s truly sad that such a great conservative like you spends their days trolling a liberal website just to piss people off. Very mature.
